Low state of mind.... lack of understanding....
If the state of the soul is so low that it no longer regocnizes God's love, then this is proof that it was given terribly little and was offered nothing to strengthen it, which it needed. The human being has an unbelievable lack of understanding for everything spiritual, he remains unimpressed because all his thinking only applies to earthly life. The soul, however, is not regocnized and therefore not considered. The human being's whole feeling revolves around purely earthly goals, thus the soul is forced to serve the body, in that all thinking, feeling and willing is only allowed to apply to its preservation and it suffers unspeakably because this is of little benefit to it. The inner peace, the awareness of being of divine origin.... the desire for union with God, which would make the soul so unspeakably happy, is completely lacking, it is like a enslaved servant and only ever has to do what the body demands, and the actual goal.... union with God moves ever further away. For since the body completely claims it for itself, it becomes more and more worldly and loses all connection with God and that is its downfall and its ruin....

Se o estado da alma é tão baixo que já não reconhece o amor de Deus, então é a prova de que ela recebeu provisões terrivelmente escassas e nada lhe foi oferecido para fortalecê-la, o que ela precisava. O Homem tem uma falta de compreensão inacreditável para com tudo o que é espiritual, ele permanece sem ser pressionado porque todo o seu pensamento só se aplica à vida terrena. A alma, porém, não é reconhecida e, portanto, também não é considerada. Todo o sentimento do ser humano gira em torno de objetivos puramente terrenos, portanto a alma é forçada a servir o corpo, em que todo pensamento, sentimento e carência só se aplicam à sua preservação e sofre de forma indescritível, porque isso lhe traz poucos benefícios. Falta-lhe completamente a paz interior, a consciência de ser de origem divina.... o desejo de união com Deus, que faria a alma tão indizívelmente feliz, é como um servo em cativeiro e só tem de fazer sempre aquilo que o corpo exige, e o verdadeiro objectivo.... a união com Deus está sempre mais longe. Pois como o corpo o reivindica inteiramente para si mesmo, ele se torna cada vez mais mundano e perde toda a conexão com Deus e isso é sua queda e sua ruína....
