Education for right thinking.... faith....

People should be educated to think correctly and that alone is a task which requires helpful beings both on earth as well as in the beyond. If humanity chases after completely wrong ideals, if it strives for exactly the opposite of what is the actual purpose of earthly life, then it is therefore thinking wrongly and it is now the task of those who think rightly to instruct them and to give them information. However, any help is usually rejected, and therefore a reorganization of thinking is extremely difficult to achieve. Every assertion has to be substantiated to people with evidence and they will not allow themselves to be convinced until this evidence has been given to them. But now the spiritual can never be proven, on the other hand, in order to think correctly, man must make use of spiritual help, therefore believe in spiritual working. Only then can this working appear in such a way that the human being's thinking is organized, i.e. that it is right. Therefore, in order to educate people to think correctly they must be informed that spiritual beings look after people, that they have an influence on all earthly events in the life of the individual and that they are always and constantly willing to assist the human being with love, to advise him, to give him strength and to guide him on his earthly path. Only when the human being has familiarized himself with such thoughts will he, if he is in need of help, try to make use of these beings surrounding him and abandon himself to their guidance. And then these beings can have an unhindered effect on people's thinking. And their thinking must now be right.... The spiritual work cannot be proven to him even now, but he himself senses it and no longer needs proof, for if he thinks correctly it is easy for him to believe.... However, it is extremely difficult to teach people this conviction in an age that denies and fights against everything spiritual. Mankind lives in a completely different world, a world that is the complete opposite of the spiritual world.... In order to make the leap from this world into the spiritual realm, the human being must first undergo great emotional upheavals, or else he must be so imbued with love that the spiritual realm automatically becomes his home, towards which he strives. Without earthly hardship and without love, however, the human being does not regocnize anything supernatural, his thoughts will always stray far from what is right before God and it is difficult to steer them towards recognition. In order to think rightly, faith is necessary.... faith in God and in spiritual activity.... But if this faith is not present, then a person can never take a direction of thought that leads to the right realization. He will always go the wrong way, he will grope and search and yet constantly err. Only when a person prays, when he regocnizes his own inability, will there be light around him, for then he will ask for the strength he previously refused to acknowledge.... And now his thinking will be clear, he will suddenly realize that without spiritual strength correct thinking is impossible. He will realize that orderly thoughts are a gift of divine love which can only be received by someone who consciously desires divine love.... who therefore acknowledges and makes use of the strength from God....

Opvoeding tot het juiste denken – Geloof

De mensen moeten opgevoed worden tot het juiste denken en alleen dat al is een taak, die bereidwillige wezens vereist, zowel op aarde, als ook in het hiernamaals. Wanneer de mensheid volledig verkeerde idealen najaagt, wanneer ze juist het tegendeel nastreeft, van wat het eigenlijke doel van het leven op aarde is, dan denkt ze dus verkeerd en het is nu dus de taak van degenen, die juist denken, hen te onderwijzen en hun opheldering te geven. Meestal wordt echter elke hulp afgewezen en daarom is juist een omvorming van het denken uiterst moeilijk te bereiken. Voor de mensen moet elke bewering bewezen worden en ze zullen zich niet eerder laten overtuigen, dan tot dit bewijs hun geleverd is.

Maar nu is het geestelijke nooit te bewijzen. Aan de andere kant moet de mens, om juist te denken, een beroep doen op geestelijke hulp, dus geloven in het geestelijke werkzaam zijn. Pas dan kan het werkzaam zijn zich zo openbaren, dat het denken van de mens geordend is, dus dat het juist is. Om mensen te leren juist te denken, moet hen er opheldering over gegeven worden, dat geestelijke wezens de mensen onder hun hoede hebben, dat ze invloed hebben op alle aardse gebeurtenissen in het leven van het individu en dat ze voortdurend bereid zijn om de mensen in liefde te helpen, hun raad te geven, hun kracht te geven en op hun gang over de aarde te begeleiden.

Pas wanneer de mens zich met zulke gedachten vertrouwd gemaakt heeft, probeert hij, als hij hulpbehoevend is, een beroep te doen op de hem omgevende wezens en geeft hij zich aan hun leiding over. En dan kunnen deze wezens ongehinderd op het denken van de mens inwerken. En zijn denken moet nu juist zijn. Ook nu kan hem het geestelijk werkzaam zijn niet bewezen worden, maar hij voelt het zelf en heeft een bewijs niet meer nodig, want als hij juist denkt, is het voor hem gemakkelijk om te geloven.

Maar juist de mensen deze overtuiging aan het verstand te brengen, is buitengewoon moeilijk in een tijd, die al het geestelijke ontkent en bestrijdt. De mensheid leeft in een geheel andere wereld. In een wereld, die in schril contrast staat met de geestelijke wereld. Om nu uit deze wereld de sprong in het geestelijke rijk te wagen, moet de mens eerst grote schokken van de ziel doormaken, ofwel, hij moet zo door de liefde doordrongen zijn, dat het geestelijke rijk vanzelf zijn vaderland wordt, waar hij naar streeft. Maar zonder aardse nood en zonder liefde erkent de mens niets bovennatuurlijks. Zijn gedachten zullen steeds afgehouden worden van dat, wat juist is voor God en het is moeilijk om deze gedachten naar het inzicht te leiden.

Om juist te denken, is het geloof noodzakelijk. Het geloof in God en in het geestelijke werkzaam zijn. Maar als dit geloof niet aanwezig is, dan kan de mens nooit een gedachtenrichting inslaan, die naar het juiste inzicht leidt. Hij zal steeds verkeerde wegen nemen. Hij zal tasten en zoeken en voortdurend verdwalen. Pas wanneer de mens bidt, als hij zelf zijn onvermogen beseft, zal het licht rondom hem worden, want dan vraagt hij om de kracht, die hij voorheen niet wilde erkennen. En nu zal zijn denken helder zijn. Hij zal plotseling weten, dat zonder geestelijke kracht een juist denken onmogelijk is. Hij zal beseffen, dat geordende gedachten een geschenk van de goddelijke liefde zijn, die alleen degene, die bewust naar deze goddelijke liefde verlangt, kan ontvangen. Die dus de kracht uit God erkent en er een beroep op doet.
