Physical pleasures.... infirmities of old age....

It is obvious frivolity to look at life on earth only from the point of view of what is beneficial to the body. It is difficult to begin to make such people understand the true purpose of earthly life, for they will never want to exclude physical enjoyment and will therefore be inaccessible to other views and teachings, since the content of life is sufficient for them if it consists of earthly pleasures. But the awakening of an erring person will be terrible. For the body will soon no longer be able to cope with the demands of earthly life, it will regocnize its weaknesses and infirmities with increasing age, and nothing will remain of the earthly life that was taken so seriously that will endure when its outer form, the physical shell, begins to become frail. He must now realize that even the most beautiful earthly pleasures lose their appeal when the body no longer possesses its youthful vigour. So life must now also seem dull and empty and useless to him as long as he is only concerned with his body. And again it is a gift of favour when man's body approaches decay faster and faster, because only now there is hope that man gets in touch with his spirit and takes contact with the powers which lovingly take care of man who has now become thoughtful, present to him the uselessness of the previous way of life and try to move him to seriously occupy himself with the spiritual, with the higher development of the soul. The human being is still given ample opportunity to suppress or fight physical desires if he is willing, i.e. if he subordinates himself to divine laws and only allows this will to prevail. However, it is far more meritorious if a person fights earthly pleasures while he is still young and full of zest for life, for the sooner he will attain knowledge, realization, for then his striving will have become active in fullest freedom of will, he will not have been forced to renounce them through physical hardship but will renounce these pleasures of his own accord, and his spirit will have done so, which can now unite with its own kind, as well as its soul, which is determined to think and want differently, will thank it with all intimacy, for only it knows about the right purpose of earthly life, it also regocnizes the dreadful plight of the imperfect spiritual beings torn away from this life, but which first has to be brought before the human being's eyes if he is to be able to free himself from the power which hinders him on the path upwards....

Placeres físicos.... Enfermedades de la vejez....

Es una evidente imprudencia mirar la vida en la tierra sólo desde el punto de vista de lo que es beneficioso para el cuerpo. Es un comienzo difícil hacer que esos hombres comprendan el verdadero propósito de la vida en la tierra, porque nunca querrán excluir el disfrute físico y, por lo tanto, serán inaccesibles a otras visiones e instrucciones, ya que el contenido de la vida les es suficiente si consiste en disfrutes terrenales. Pero el despertar de un ser humano descarriado será terrible. Debido q que el cuerpo pronto ya no podrá hacer frente a las exigencias de la vida terrena, reconocerá sus debilidades y enfermedades a medida que envejezca, y de la vida terrenal que se toma tan en serio no quedará nada que dure, como su forma externa, el caparazón físico, se vuelve frágil. Ahora también debe entender que incluso los placeres terrenales más bellos pierden su atractivo cuando el cuerpo ya no tiene su fuerza juvenil. De modo que ahora la vida debe parecerle ahora aburrida, vacía e inútil mientras sólo se preocupe por su cuerpo.

Y nuevamente es un don de gracia cuando el cuerpo humano avanza cada vez más rápido se dirige hacia la decadencia, porque sólo ahora hay esperanza de que el ser humano entre en contacto con su espíritu y entre en contacto con las fuerzas que ahora se cuidan amorosamente del ser humano que se ha vuelto pensativo, presentándole la inutilidad de su forma de vida anterior y tratar de persuadirlo a que se preocupe seriamente por lo espiritual, por el desarrollo superior del alma. Al hombre se le ofrecen ahora muchas oportunidades para suprimir o luchar contra los deseos físicos si así lo desea, es decir, si se subordina a las leyes divinas y sólo permite que se aplique esta voluntad.

Pero es mucho más meritorio si el hombre lucha contra los placeres terrenales mientras es joven y disfruta de la vida, porque cuanto más antes llega al conocimiento, a la cognición, porque entonces su esfuerzo se habrá activado con total libertad de voluntad, no se vio obligado a renunciar por una emergencia física, sino que renunció a estos placeres por propia voluntad, y esto le agradecerá de todo corazón tanto su espíritu, que ahora puede ponerse de acuerdo con sus semejantes, como su alma, que está determinada de pensar y querer diferente, porque sólo ella sabe acerca del propósito verdadero de la vida en la Tierra. También reconoce la terrible situación de los seres espirituales imperfectos que han sido separados de esta vida, que primero debe ser clara para el hombre, si debe poder liberarse del poder que le impide llegar a la altura.... amén
