Train of thought unawakened.... and organized thoughts....

The train of thought of a person whose spirit is still unawakened usually moves in districts which are of no spiritual value whatsoever. He will only be occupied by questions which are intended to be fathomed for the purpose of an improved earthly life of well-being, for only that which promises some kind of earthly advantage will ever be drawn into the circle of his mental activity, and things which concern spiritual experiences will never touch the thoughts of a person who is in the midst of earthly life. And thus these thoughts are exclusively the results of a bodily function, these thoughts are the evidence that thousands upon thousands of people can naturally use a gift given to them by the creator but that the results correspond to the person's free will.... that he can therefore use the gift purely physically and then also produce purely earthly results, whereas a person whose will calls for God works with spiritual support, that is, whose thinking ability is combined with spiritual strength and the results therefore understandably also have to be spiritual. The thoughts are now organized from the spiritual side, they no longer proceed arbitrarily but are completely adapted to the person's desire as to which area he desires to gain insight into. It will be possible to unhesitatingly accept the thoughts that arise in a person when he deals with spiritual questions. Consciously striving for and demanding spiritual strength is the surest guarantee for thoughts that are now rightly guided, for truth and deepest knowledge. And conversely, it can be assumed with complete conviction that all thoughts in a worldly direction originate from the human being himself and are therefore also passed on as human error. Again, it takes a divine spirit to be able to separate truth from lies. Every worldly thought is like an obstacle in order to reach the truth, and therefore the divine spirit must be at work if a clear separation of good and evil, of truth and lie, is to take place. And on the other hand, the divine spirit assures the earthly child of right thinking and it need not anxiously ask itself to what extent its thoughts are right....

Il corso dei pensieri dei non risvegliati e pensieri ordinati

Il corso dei pensieri di un uomo il cui spirito non è ancora risvegliato, si muove quasi sempre in distretti che sono di alcun valore spirituale. Lo occuperanno solo delle questioni che devono essere esplorate allo scopo di un miglior ben vivere terreno, perché verrà sempre soltanto attirato nella cerchia della sua attività mentale, che promette un qualche vantaggio terreno, e delle cose che riguardano la vita spirituale non toccheranno mai il pensare di un uomo che sta in mezzo alla vita terrena. E quei pensieri sono quindi esclusivamente i risultati di una funzione corporea. Questi pensieri sono la dimostrazione di ciò che migliaia ed ancora migliaia di uomini possono usare un dono in modo naturale, che è stato dato loro dal Creatore, che però i risultati corrispondono alla libera volontà dell’uomo, che costui possa quindi usare il dono in modo puramente corporeo e poi procura appunto anche dei risultati solo puramente terreni, mentre un uomo, la cui volontà desidera Dio, lavora con il sostegno spirituale, cioè la sua facoltà di pensare si collega con la Forza spirituale ed i risultati devono quindi anche essere comprensibilmente spirituali. Ora i pensieri vengono ordinati da parte spirituale, non sono più arbitrari, ma sono del tutto adeguati al desiderio dell’uomo in quale regione desidera dare uno sguardo. Potranno essere accettati senza preoccupazione i pensieri che si muovono nell’uomo, se si occupa con questioni spirituali. Il cosciente tendere e richiedere la Forza spirituale è la garanzia più sicura per dei pensieri oramai guidati bene, per la Verità ed il sapere più profondo. E viceversa può essere accettato con pienissima convinzione che tutti i pensieri nell’orientamento mondano si formano nell’uomo stesso e quindi vengono anche portati avanti come errore umano. Ci vuole nuovamente lo spirito divino per poter separare la Verità dalla menzogna. Ogni pensiero mondano è come un ostacolo per giungere alla Verità, e perciò dev’essere assolutamente all’opera lo spirito divino, se deve poter aver luogo la chiara separazione del Bene dal male, della Verità dalla menzogna. E d’altra parte lo spirito divino assicura al figlio terreno il giusto pensare, e non deve domandare timorosamente a sé stesso, fin dove i suoi pensieri sono giusti.
