Life in the divine will.... inner voice....

Man should scrutinize himself with relentless rigour as to how far he complies with God's will, and he should always keep his actions and omissions in mind, he should ask God for the strength to do so in a constant endeavour to always do what is right, he should never tire of working on himself and always and constantly answer to Him and listen to the inner voice that rebukes him if he wants to go astray. Always living in the will of God is only feasible if all thoughts are turned towards the eternal deity, if love for God dominates the person.... Then man will also always fulfil the will of Him Whom his soul loves. However, this also requires self-conquest, for in order to be able to fulfil the divine will, man must willingly renounce everything that gives him earthly pleasure.... he must be able to sacrifice.... he must tame his worldly desires and seek fulfilment of his longing only in love for God.... he must also avoid everything that could tempt him to sin. These are the thoughts that want to go astray and do not correspond to the divine will. The enemy tries to influence precisely those souls who want to serve God and any means is right for him to do so. And thus he tries to dissuade the striving earthly child from its serious striving for God through mental whisperings, and a struggling soul will therefore often have to fight against such thoughts which have to be regocnized as opposing influence and therefore rejected. And again the inner voice has to be listened to, which instructs the earthly child correctly in every way. And thus every danger will also be overcome if only the human being's will is always willing to submit itself to divine will, if he entrusts all his actions and thoughts to the lord, asks Him for His grace and for the right enlightenment in all things.... The father in heaven will hear this prayer of His child and his walk on earth will truly correspond to God's will, for the father demands nothing but free human will, if this is sacrificed to Him He will guide and direct His children so that they will safely reach their goal, their eternal home.

하나님의 뜻의 삶. 내면의 음성.

사람은 자신이 하나님의 뜻에 어느 정도 순종하고 있는 지, 가차 없이 철저하게 점검해야 하며, 자신이 하는 일과 하지 않는 일에 항상 주의를 기울여야 한다. 그는 항상 옳은 일을 하려고 끊임없이 노력하는 가운데, 하나님께 옳은 일을 할 수 있게 해주는 힘을 구해야 한다. 자신을 가꾸는 일에 지치지 말고, 항상 끊임없이 하나님 앞에서 책임을 지고, 그가 잘못된 길을 가려고 하면, 그를 꾸짖는 내면의 음성을 들어야 한다. 모든 생각이 영원한 신성을 향할 때, 하나님을 향한 사랑이 사람을 지배할 때, 항상 하나님의 뜻대로 사는 일이 단지 가능하고, 그럴 때 사람은 또한 항상 그의 혼이 사랑하는 분의 뜻을 성취시킬 것이다.

그러나 그렇게 되기 위해 자신을 다스리는 일이 요구된다. 왜냐하면 사람이 하나님의 뜻을 이루기 위해서는 이 땅의 기쁨을 주는 모든 것을 자원해서 포기해야만 하기 때문이다. 그는 희생할 수 있어야만 한다. 그는 자신의 세상을 향한 욕망을 길들여야만 하고, 단지 하나님을 향한 사랑에서 자신의 소원의 성취를 찾아야만 한다. 그는 또한 그를 죄로 이끌 수 있는 모든 것을 피해야만 한다. 그를 죄로 이끌 수 있는 것들은 길을 벗어나기를 원하는, 하나님의 뜻과 일치하지 않는 생각이다. 원수는 바로 하나님을 섬기려는 혼들에게 영향을 미치려고 하고, 그렇게 하기 위해 모든 수단을 사용한다. 그러므로 그는 영적 속삭임을 통해 고군분투하는 이 땅의 자녀를 진지하게 하나님을 추구하지 못하도록 설득하려고 한다. 따라서 고군분투하는 혼은 대적자의 영향으로 깨닫고, 때문에 거절해야만 하는 생각에 맞서 자주 싸워야만 할 것이다.

그러면 다시 모든 면에서 이 땅의 자녀를 올바르게 가르치는 내면의 음성을 들어야만 한다. 인간의 의지가 항상 단지 하나님의 뜻에 복종할 준비가 되어 있다면, 그가 모든 행동과 생각을 주님께 맡기고, 주님께 은혜와 모든 일을 올바르게 깨닫게 해주기를 구한다면, 모든 위험은 또한 극복이 될 것이다. 하늘의 아버지는 이런 자녀의 기도에 응답할 것이고, 이 땅의 그의 행보는 진실로 하나님의 뜻과 일치하게 될 것이다. 왜냐하면 아버지는 단지 사람의 자유의지를 요구하기 때문이다. 자녀들이 자유의지로 아버지에게 헌신한다면, 아버지는 자신의 자녀들을 인도하고 지도하여, 안전하게 그들의 목표인 영원한 집에 도달하게 하기 때문이다.
