Forces of the earth's interior.... laws of nature.... will of man....

Just as worldly wisdom tries in vain to find an explanation as to which power controls the interior of the earth, it will also never be able to analyze these powers and will therefore attempt in vain to subject the unexplored earthly forces to its will. The divine creator Himself lets His will prevail and certainly guides the thinking of a believing person such that he comes close to the truth.... However, He has His plan with every creation, and thus people can only exert their human influence in such a way that they carry out what their own will dictates to them, but the effects of their actions, as far as they concern a transformation of the work of creation.... i.e. change of the earth's surface.... can never appear differently than God's will approves. Ultimately, the entire creation is subject to the divine will.... Only people's actions and thoughts are free.... Consequently, all thinking which does not have profound faith as a basic condition must remain without a final result; with such thinking the human being will only ever seek and search but never come to the right result.... So man is mistaken as long as he wants to attain knowledge without God, no matter which direction his thinking takes. The human being's intellectual knowledge is truly too limited to be able to investigate the forces of the earth's interior, for these forces, which are of purely spiritual origin, even if they are for the most part still at the beginning of their development, are so powerful and only restrained by God's will, i.e. forced to limit their urge to be active, for the strength of these unredeemed beings would suffice to destroy everything if they were allowed free activity. Since every activity of these forces is therefore dependent on God's will, it is again impossible that human will could utilize these forces in a way that is opposed to God, which, however, would be human will if it could intellectually penetrate the laws of nature which specifically concern the elements of the earth's interior. Only a man of faith comes closer to the truth, but he will never misuse his knowledge for anything other than God-ordained actions. Nothing in creation is without meaning, and so the forces in the earth will also have to fulfil their purpose when it corresponds to divine will. However, all these forces are subject to the same law, which initially aims to preserve what has been created. But if these forces express themselves destructively, then divine will is also at work there, and neither opposing force nor human will is the cause of such activity, but both are only indirect insofar as they have brought about the point in time through joint activity against God's will. Consequently, all natural disasters are certainly a consequence of the wrong will of man, but not an action brought about by man himself, and it must be emphasized time and again that a disaster can therefore never be explained in such a way that any disregard of physical forces on the part of man is the cause.... and that these forces could therefore be fathomed intellectually and weakened accordingly or their effects completely cancelled....

Fuerzas del interior de la tierra... Leyes de la naturaleza... Voluntad del hombre...

Así como la sabiduría del mundo se esfuerza en vano de encontrar una explicación de qué fuerza domina el interior de la tierra, tampoco le será posible analizar estas fuerzas y hacer experimentos en vano destinados a someter a su voluntad a las fuerzas de la tierra inexploradas. El divino Creador Mismo deja que Su voluntad gobierne y guía el pensamiento de una persona creyente de tal manera que se acerque a la verdad... Sin embargo, Él tiene Su plan para cualquier creación, y por lo tanto los hombres sólo pueden ejercer su influencia humana de tal manera que lleven a cabo lo que su propia voluntad les prescribe, pero los efectos de sus acciones en lo que se refiere a una remodelación de la obra de creación... es decir, un cambio en la superficie de la tierra... nunca pueden aparecer de manera diferente a lo que aprueba la voluntad de Dios...

Porque al final la creación total está subordinada a la voluntad divina... Sólo la acción y el pensamiento de los hombres son libres... Así que todo pensamiento que no tenga como condición básica la fe profunda debe quedar sin resultado final, la persona con tal pensamiento solo buscará y buscará, pero nunca llegará al resultado correcto... Entonces mientras una persona quiera obtener conocimiento sin Dios, está equivocada, sin importar la dirección que tome su pensamiento.

Para poder investigar las fuerzas del interior de la tierra, el conocimiento intelectual del hombre es realmente muy poco, porque estas fuerzas, que son de origen puramente espiritual, aunque en su mayor parte están todavía al principio de su desarrollo, son tan poderosas y solo desterrados por la voluntad de Dios, es decir, obligados a limitar su impulso de ser activos, porque la fuerza de estos seres no redimidos sería suficiente para destruir todo si se les permitiera la libre actividad.

Dado que toda actividad de estas fuerzas depende de la voluntad de Dios, es de nuevo imposible que la voluntad humana pudiera hacer uso de estas fuerzas de una manera contraria a Dios, lo que sin embargo sería la voluntad del ser humano si él podría penetrar intelectualmente en las leyes de la naturaleza, que se refieren específicamente a los elementos del interior de la tierra. Sólo una persona que vive en la fe se acerca más a la verdad, pero ésta nunca abusará de su conocimiento para otra cosa que no sea la voluntad de Dios.

No hay nada en la creación sin sentido, por lo que las fuerzas en la tierra también tendrán cumplir su propósito que corresponde a la voluntad divina. Pero todas estas fuerzas están sujetas a la misma ley, que en un principio tiene como objetivo la conservación de lo creado. Pero si estas fuerzas se expresan de manera destructiva, entonces la voluntad divina también obrando allí, y ni el poder opuesto ni la voluntad humana son la razón de tal obra, sino que ambos solo indirectamente en la medida en que han invocado el tiempo a través de la acción conjunta contra la voluntad de Dios.

Según esto, todas las catástrofes naturales son probablemente el resultado de la voluntad equivocada del hombre, pero no una acción provocada por el hombre mismo, y siempre se debe enfatizarse una y otra vez que una catástrofe nunca puede explicarse de tal manera, que cualquier desprecio por las fuerzas físicas por parte de los seres humanos da lugar a ella... y que estas fuerzas podrían explorarse intelectualmente y debilitarse correspondientemente o sus efectos podrían eliminarse por completo...
