Sun....

It is not uncommon for assumptions to lead to false conclusions, and science has also been incredibly wrong when it assumes that there is some kind of glowing mass at the centre of the sun. After all, the fireball would slowly consume itself and the sun would lose light and luminosity. But this has not been the case for ages and will not be the case for ages to come. By comparison, a hearth of fire can only radiate heat for as long as it contains embers, but every ember must eventually die out unless it is nourished, i.e. supplied with substances that re-ignite and thus increase the embers. Applied to the sun, this incomprehensibly large world body would therefore either have to become constantly smaller, or it would have to attract other world bodies to itself, which would then become one with it, as it were, and thus be constant nutrients for the light- and heat-giving source of fire. But the divine work of creation truly does not need such purely factual arguments.... The effect of the sun's rays can be traced back to completely different laws.... The power of God Himself shines without any external influence.... It is the power of God's light in itself, this power is transmitted daily and hourly without interruption into the universe, received by countless spirit bearers and transmitted again by every being, visible and invisible. And therefore you directly receive the life energy from God in the sun's rays.... hence the sun has to distribute this energy for every living being to thrive, and this happens in a way which is completely alien and incomprehensible to human concepts as long as people attach too little value to the spiritual in itself, for the sun's rays are a purely spiritual process which, however, is also outwardly visible to people.... While everything else of a spiritual nature is hidden from them or earthly enveloped, the activity of the mature spiritual world expresses itself here in a way that is visible to people but not recognized as such. An unrestrained unfolding of its power, which however is likewise opposed by spiritual things, creates certain frictions, and everything that is supposed to be repressed is aroused and in a way ignited, and since the spiritual power absolutely wants to come to earth, this stream of light and fire must also be noticeable on earth and thus express itself as a bundle of rays from above. And this process can never come to an end as long as unredeemed spiritual substances still somehow enliven the universe, for the mature spiritual substances will not shy away from any resistance and, by overcoming this resistance, will try to reach the place where spiritual strength is needed by the beings.... Thus the sun will shine until all spiritual beings are redeemed....

Zon

Niet zelden leiden veronderstellingen tot verkeerde conclusies en de wetenschap vergist zich ook ongelofelijk, wanneer ze aanneemt, dat er zich één of andere massa in de kern van de zon bevindt. De vuurbol zou tenslotte toch langzaam verteerd worden en de zon zou aan licht en lichtintensiteit verliezen. Maar dit is sinds eeuwigheid niet het geval en zal dat tot in ondenkbare tijden niet zijn.

Ter vergelijking: een vuurhaard kan slechts zo lang warmte uitstralen, als hij vuurgloed in zich bergt, maar deze gloed moet eens tot uitdoven komen, als ze niet gevoed wordt. Dat wil zeggen, haar stoffen toegevoerd worden, die weer ontbranden en zo de gloed doen toenemen. Toegepast op de zon zou dit onvoorstelbaar grote hemellichaam dus of voortdurend kleiner moeten worden of hij zou andere hemellichamen aan moeten trekken, die dan als het ware één met hem worden en zo voortdurend voedingsstoffen voor de licht en warmte gevende brandhaard zouden zijn.

Maar het goddelijke scheppingswerk heeft zulke puur inhoudelijke argumenten niet nodig. De stralenwerking van de zon is op geheel andere wetten terug te voeren. De kracht van God Zelf straalt zonder enige invloed van buitenaf. De kracht van God is licht in Zichzelf. Deze kracht stroomt dagelijks en ieder uur zonder onderbreking in het heelal over, opgenomen door talloze dragers van geestelijke kracht en wordt weer verder geleid door elk wezen, zichtbaar en onzichtbaar.

En daarom ontvangen jullie de levenskracht uit God rechtstreeks uit de stralen van de zon. Daarom moet de zon, voor het gedijen van elk levend wezen, deze kracht uitdelen. En dit gebeurt op een manier, die voor het menselijke bevattingsvermogen volledig vreemd en onbegrijpelijk is, zolang de mensen te weinig waarde hechten aan het geestelijke, want juist de stralenwerking van de zon is een puur geestelijke gebeurtenis, die echter tegelijkertijd ook uiterlijk zichtbaar voor de mensen is. Terwijl al het andere geestelijke voor hen verborgen is, respectievelijk aards omhuld is, uit de werkzaamheid van de rijpe geestelijke wereld zich hier zichtbaar aan de mensen, maar het wordt niet als zodanig herkend.

Een ongeremd ontplooien van haar kracht, waar het geestelijke zich echter tegen verzet, brengt bepaalde wrijvingen voort en alles wat verdrongen moet worden, wordt geprikkeld en ontbrandt in zekere zin en omdat de geestelijke kracht absoluut naar de aarde wil, moet deze licht- en vuurstroom ook op aarde op te merken zijn en zich dus als stralenbundel vanaf boven uiten. En dit proces kan nooit tot een einde komen, zolang nog niet bevrijd geestelijks op één of andere manier het heelal bevolkt, want net zo lang zal het rijpe geestelijke geen tegenstand schuwen en juist door het overwinnen van deze tegenstand daar proberen te komen, waar geestelijke kracht van het wezen nodig is. De zon zal schijnen, tot al het geestelijke bevrijd is.
