Charity motif....

The motive of christian neighbourly love has become completely different from what it should be from God, and this is due to the fact that humanity is no longer aware of how necessary 'love in itself ' is to return to the father and how everything in the universe is closely interwoven with the concept of love. Love for matter is spiritual death, but love for one's neighbour and thus for God as the creator of all things is spiritual life. Wherever only true love would be active, no spiritual decline could be recorded, but where love for matter predominates, all spirituality is completely lost. Love is the highest thing on earth and points the way to God.... however, if it applies to earthly possessions, it increases matter and pulls downwards.... The more a person is filled with the feeling of love, the more clearly the spirit in him will be able to express itself, but this love must be for God and his neighbour, not for matter. An extremely wrong way of thinking has now brought humanity so far that it is no longer able to distinguish what true, i.e. divine love is.... whether it springs from the heart or has its origin in the physical life of man, in purely physical desires. The person who is driven by inner love to do good incessantly does not think of any earthly reward, but this holy feeling of love is so fused with himself that he cannot help but be lovingly active.... He has the urge to help, comfort and give wherever his (love) help is needed. He does not calculate anxiously, he does not give to his neighbour in a measured way, but is only imbued with deep love for his neighbour, and this is the right love before God, which is also the right path to eternal life.... The human being, however, who only remains in matter, is only intent on increasing matter on earth, i.e. earthly goods, and deriving his advantage from everything. If he now helps his neighbour, it is always only a certain calculation to gain some kind of benefit from it, and pure, unselfish neighbourly love is a concept he does not understand. But calculating love can never have a redeeming effect, and charity is again the greatest factor that must be reckoned with.... Man is supposed to redeem himself through love, but the love of possessions usually takes precedence and prevents him from practicing unselfish love. Consequently, anyone who wants to comply with the divine commandment must willingly renounce matter, he must learn to despise it, only then can pure love fill his heart.... he learns to love God when matter is nothing to him, and thus also his neighbour.... since love is inherent in man, all too often in the wrong sense. Anyone who loves himself more also craves all earthly possessions, and no matter how far away the eternal deity is from him.... he must first willingly surrender everything that binds him to matter.... he must seek to become free of it and mould himself into love.... only then will the human being experience an inner transformation; he will feel the spark of divine love within himself and then cannot help but transfer it to other people, and only then will this be true christian neighbourly love, which has a redeeming effect in the true sense of the word....

Motiv der Nächstenliebe....

Es ist das Motiv der christlichen Nächstenliebe ein völlig anderes geworden, als es von Gott aus sein soll, und dies ist darauf zurückzuführen, daß die Menschheit sich selbst nicht mehr bewußt ist, wie notwendig die "Liebe an sich" zur Rückkehr zum Vater ist und wie alles im Weltall mit dem Begriff Liebe eng verwachsen ist. Die Liebe zur Materie ist geistiger Tod, die Liebe zum Nächsten und somit zu Gott als Schöpfer aller Dinge aber ist geistiges Leben. Wo immer nur die wahre Liebe tätig wäre, könnte kein geistiger Niedergang verzeichnet werden, wo jedoch die Liebe zur Materie überwiegt, dort geht alles Geistige völlig verloren. Die Liebe ist das Höchste auf Erden und weiset zu Gott.... gilt sie jedoch irdischem Besitz, so vermehrt sie die Materie und ziehet nach unten.... Je mehr der Mensch von dem Gefühl der Liebe erfüllt ist, desto klarer wird sich auch der Geist in ihm äußern können, doch muß diese Liebe Gott und dem Nächsten, nicht aber der Materie gelten. Es hat nun ein überaus falsches Denken die Menschheit so weit gebracht, daß sie nicht mehr zu unterscheiden vermag, was rechte, d.h. göttliche Liebe ist.... ob diese dem Herzen entspringt oder ihren Ausgang hat im Leibesleben des Menschen, in rein körperlichen Begierden. Der Mensch, der getrieben von innerlicher Liebe Gutes zu tun unablässig bemüht ist, denkt nicht an irgendwelchen irdischen Lohn, sondern es ist dieses heilige Gefühl der Liebe mit seinem Ich so verschmolzen, daß er gar nicht anders kann, als liebend tätig zu sein.... Es ist in ihm der Drang zu helfen, zu trösten und zu geben, wo irgend seine (Liebe) Hilfe benötigt wird. Er rechnet nicht ängstlich, teilt nicht gemessen dem Nächsten mit, sondern ist nur von tiefer Liebe zum Nächsten durchdrungen, und dies ist die rechte Liebe vor Gott, die auch der rechte Weg zum ewigen Leben ist.... Der Mensch jedoch, der nur in der Materie verharrt, ist nur darauf bedacht, die Materie auf Erden, d.h. irdisches Gut, zu vermehren und aus allem seinen Vorteil zu ziehen. So er nun dem Nächsten helfend beisteht, so ist das immer nur eine gewisse Berechnung, irgendwelchen Nutzen davon zu haben, und es ist die reine, uneigennützige Nächstenliebe ein ihm unverständlicher Begriff. Es kann aber die berechnende Liebe niemals erlösend wirken, und es ist wiederum die Nächstenliebe der größte Faktor, mit dem gerechnet werden muß.... Es soll der Mensch sich durch die Liebe erlösen, die Liebe zum Besitz aber spricht zumeist vor und hindert ihn daran, uneigennützige Liebe zu üben. Wer sonach dem göttlichen Gebot nachkommen will, der muß sich willig der Materie entäußern, er muß diese verachten lernen, dann erst kann reine Liebe sein Herz erfüllen.... er lernt Gott lieben, so ihm die Materie nichts mehr ist, und somit auch den Nächsten.... da die Liebe ja dem Menschen innewohnt, nur zu oft in verkehrtem Sinn. Wer sich selbst mehr liebt, der gieret auch nach allem irdischen Besitz, und ihm ist die ewige Gottheit noch so fern.... er muß erst alles willig hingeben, was ihn mit der Materie verbindet.... er muß suchen, ihrer ledig zu werden, und zur Liebe sich gestalten.... erst dann erlebt der Mensch die innere Wandlung; er spüret in sich den Funken göttlicher Liebe und kann nun nicht anders, als diese auf den Menschen zu übertragen, und das erst ist die rechte christliche Nächstenliebe, die im wahren Sinne des Wortes erlösend wirkt....
