School of the spirit.... earth life as a station of education....

Every individual creature is subject to the law to complete the school of the spirit, and it has to do this compulsorily through all periods of development in order to, however, be released from compulsion in the last stage and now be free to make use of the possibilities which serve spiritual development. The earthly child can be taught in the most exhaustive way if it only wants to be taught.... Spiritual strength is always at its disposal to initiate it into everything worth knowing for the salvation of its soul. It also constantly receives spiritual admonitions which it can hear through the inner voice, and all this is only ever a means to an end to achieve the spiritual state of maturity in order to reach that height which signifies the sphere of light for the earthly being and which differs considerably from the unfinished beings' stay outside of this sphere. As long as the human being does nothing to improve his spiritual state, as long as he is only purely earthly concerned about his well-being, the soul's state will always remain the same as when it entered earthly existence. Then the soul will have reached a dead end.... it will not strive for higher development, it will neither seek spiritual nourishment nor knowledge and thus will not change its state in the slightest.... However, time on earth will slip away and days and years will be spent useless.... For the soul has no part in all experiences but only the body. What would be the soul's share is not tangible to the human being and thus often not desirable. And yet the only important thing on earth is that the spirit be awakened and come to development. For only then is earthly life the educational station for the human being, when the soul strives towards ever higher realization and thus consciously completes the school of the spirit and the result is the state of perfection, which ensures entry into spheres of light after bodily death and is therefore the purpose and aim of embodiment as a human being....

School of the Spirit.... A Vida Terrestre como uma Estação de Educação....

Cada criatura individual está sujeita à lei para completar a escola do espírito, e tem de o fazer obrigatoriamente durante todos os períodos de desenvolvimento, a fim de, no entanto, se libertar da compulsão na última etapa e agora ser livre para fazer uso das possibilidades que servem ao desenvolvimento espiritual. A criança da Terra pode ser ensinada da forma mais exaustiva se só quiser ser ensinada.... A força espiritual está sempre à sua disposição para iniciá-la em tudo o que vale a pena conhecer para a salvação da sua alma. Também recebe constantemente admoestações espirituais, que pode ouvir através da voz interior, e tudo isso é apenas um meio para alcançar sempre o fim para alcançar o estado de maturidade espiritual, para alcançar aquela altura que significa a esfera de luz para o ser terreno e que difere consideravelmente da permanência dos seres inacabados fora desta esfera. Enquanto o homem não fizer nada para melhorar a sua situação espiritual, enquanto ele se preocupar apenas com o seu bem-estar puramente terreno, a situação da alma permanecerá sempre a mesma de quando entrou na existência terrena. Então a alma chegou a um ponto morto.... não se esforça por um desenvolvimento superior, não procura alimento espiritual nem conhecimento e, portanto, não altera o seu estado ao mínimo.... No entanto, o tempo na terra passa e os dias e anos são passados inutilmente.... Pois a alma não tem parte em toda a experiência, mas apenas o corpo. O que seria a parte da alma não é tangível para o ser humano e, portanto, muitas vezes não é desejável. E no entanto a única coisa importante na Terra é que o espírito é despertado e se desenvolve. Pois a vida terrena só será a estação educativa do ser humano quando a alma tiver adquirido uma realização cada vez maior e assim completar conscientemente a escola do espírito e o resultado é o estado de perfeição que assegura a entrada nas esferas de luz após a morte corporal e é, portanto, a finalidade e o objetivo da encarnação como ser humano.
