Idle life.... fear of death....

The idleness of life is always to be considered where life is not utilized properly, and many an error will be the cause of this. The soul will find itself in greatest distress when the time on earth passes without any spiritual success. Then a feeling of fear will take hold of the soul, it will see the end of its earthly life approaching ever closer and unconsciously sense the agonizing state afterwards.... And this is then expressed in the feeling of fear of death. And yet again, this fear of death is often the last means of realization. If the human being has achieved all earthly goals, if he cannot find any real satisfaction and complete fulfilment of his wishes afterwards.... if he feels an emptiness in his innermost heart despite his earthly well-being, then he will endeavour to get to the bottom of the cause of this unsatisfactory feeling and he must realize that the thought of life after death will not allow him to find inner peace. He must realize that everything he has striven for so far will come to an end, and this thought does not give him a feeling of security, but rather one of uneasiness, because in his deepest heart he cannot give himself a certain answer as to what awaits him after death. And this pondering and brooding often causes him to immerse himself in spiritual questions.... that he suddenly learns to recognize the transience and worthlessness of everything earthly with a bright spirit and pays far more attention to the unfathomable. Then his spirit becomes lively to the same extent as his desire for the earthly subsides, and this has brought about the fear of death, and the soul was granted assistance by the good spiritual forces struggling for it. The thought of death can therefore have an unspeakably beneficial effect on those who always and easily found fulfilment in worldly desires. They paid no attention to the world and its dangers and were constantly its conquerors.... yet they are powerless and powerless in the face of death, and fear is rooted in the recognition of their own state of weakness, which then drives the will to seek a way to overcome the horrors of death. And this path is the bond with the eternal creator, to whom life and death are subject.... Death does not frighten those who have recognized it, for their soul has found the path to eternal life.... death means darkness and night.... The lust and desire of the world shrouds the spirit in darkness, and this state is equal to eternal death. Only he who overcomes the desire for the world will pass from night to light.... he will awaken from death to life, and he will undoubtedly overcome the horrors of death. That is why detachment from the world is the very first condition for freeing the spirit from the shackles of matter, and every step through earthly life will then mean advancement of the soul and result in higher spiritual development. The human being will then be able to say at the end of his days: My life has truly not been idle.... if he has reached the goal of standing in the light of truth and need not fear the horrors of death....

Ociosidad de la vida.... Miedo a la muerte....

Siempre se debe considerar la ociosidad de la vida, donde la vida no se usa bien, y muchos errores serán la causa de ello. El alma estará en extrema necesidad cuando pase el tiempo en tierra sin ningún éxito mental. Entonces el alma experimenta una sensación de miedo, y ve el final de la vida terrenal cada vez más cerca e inconscientemente siente el estado agonizante después de la vida no utilizada.... Y esto se expresa en la ansiedad antes de la muerte. Y a pesar de todo, este miedo a la muerte es a menudo el ultimo remedio para el reconocimiento.

Si el hombre ha logrado todos los objetivos terrenales y si tampoco después no puede encontrar una satisfacción suficiente y el cumplimento completo de sus deseos.... Si, a pesar del bienestar terrenal, siente un vacío en lo más profundo de su corazón, entonces debería esforzarse por llegar al fondo de la causa de este sentimiento insatisfactorio, y debe darse cuenta de que la idea de una vida después de la muerte no le permite descansar. Él tiene que darse cuenta de que todo lo que ha estado tratando de lograr está llegando a su fin, y ese pensamiento no le da una sensación de seguridad, sino de incomodidad, porque en el fondo de su corazón no puede darse una respuesta segura, de lo que le espera después de la muerte.

Y esto de pensar y reflexionar a menudo lo lleva a profundizarse en cuestiones mentales.... Que de repente aprende a reconocer con la mente clara, la transitoriedad y la inutilidad de todo lo terrenal, prestando mucha más atención a lo insondable. Entonces su mente se vuelve activa en la misma medida en que su deseo por lo terrenal disminuye, y esto ha provocado el miedo a la muerte y el alma ha sido asistida por las buenas fuerzas mentales que luchan por ella.

Por lo tanto, el pensamiento en la muerte puede tener un efecto indescriptiblemente beneficioso en aquellos que siempre encontraron satisfacción en los deseos mundanos. No se fijaron del mundo y sus peligros y fueron constantemente sus vencedores.... Pero ante la muerte se enfrentan impotentes y sin fuerza, y en el reconocimiento de su propio estado de debilidad, está enraizado el miedo, lo que entonces impulsa la voluntad de buscar un camino, para superar los horrores de la muerte. Y este camino es la unión con el Creador eterno, al Quien están sujetos la vida y la muerte....

Él que ha reconocido esto ya no está aterrorizado por la muerte, porque su alma ha encontrado el camino hacia la vida eterna.... La muerte significa oscuridad y noche.... Las ganas y los deseos envuelven el alma en la oscuridad, y este estado equivale a la muerte eterna. Solo aquel, quien venza los anhelos al mundo, saldrá a la luz desde la noche.... Él despertará a la vida desde la muerte, y sin ninguna duda vencerá los horrores de la muerte.

Por lo tanto, liberarse del mundo es la primera condición para liberar la mente de las ataduras de la materia, y luego cada paso en la vida terrenal será una promoción del alma y dará como resultado un desarrollo mental superior. Entonces el hombre podrá decir al final de sus días: Mi vida realmente no ha sido una ociosidad.... siempre y cuando haya alcanzado el objetivo de estar en la luz de la verdad y no tenga que temer los horrores de la muerte.... Amen
