Patiently bearing the cross.... 'Lord, Your will be done...'

Look within yourself and recognise your failings and appeal to the Lord for His help, then you will grow in strength and succeed in enduring all tests of life gently and with patience. After all, the Lord's will only sends these to you for your own advancement.... A person will rarely submit to the suffering imposed on him without grumbling, and yet precisely this is a willing submission to God's will, when the human being gladly and gratefully accepts all suffering from the Father's hand and so only ever acknowledges that whatever happens will be right for his soul's salvation. When the pain increases, the Saviour is placing a small cross upon you which, for His sake, you should carry patiently. Such days will make the soul infinitely happy, for whatever is tolerantly carried by the body is removed from the soul and it will enter an increasingly more liberated state. The body's suffering is the soul's greatest help, and if the human being bears it gladly, the soul will be grateful for it and, in turn, will use every opportunity to help the body through inner suggestions which benefit the human being's earthly work. All suffering will only have an ennobling effect if it does not cause bitterness in the person against the One Who inflicts this suffering upon him, and thus it will only ever benefit the person's soul. And if the temptation is great to revolt against God's will, then remember the Lord's suffering on the cross.... How unspeakably painful was His death, and how humbly did the Saviour accept all suffering upon His shoulders out of love for the sinful human race. If you bear this in mind, then you will also gladly carry you small cross, for the Lord will not impose anything upon you that you are incapable of carrying. And the right love for the Saviour will sweeten your every suffering.... One day the significance of suffering will dawn on you and your soul will rejoice, if you were willing on earth and gained many merits through the bearing of suffering, which has an extraordinary effect in the spiritual world. Your lifetime on earth certainly burdens you with much which seems insurmountable to you at first, and thus you quarrel with God and want to object to His most sacred will; nevertheless, God's love will soon teach you otherwise.... it will let you realise that it is only in your best interest when He allows you to suffer, and your earthly existence will be richly rewarded if you have realised it. Therefore, always pray from the bottom of your heart 'Lord, Your will be done....' and your suffering will turn into joy.... and you will gratefully accept the reward which, one day in eternity, will compensate you for all the suffering on earth....

Portare la croce con pazienza - “Signore, la Tua Volontà sia fatta …”

Entra in te e riconosci le tue debolezze e chiedi al Signore la Sua Assistenza, allora anche la tua forza diventa più vigorosa, e ti riuscirà di sopportare le prove della vita con mansuetudine e pazienza. La Volontà del Signore te le manda soltanto per la tua promozione. Solo raramente un uomo si adeguerà alle sofferenze emesse su di lui senza mormorare, ma proprio questo è un sottomettersi volenteroso alla Volontà di Dio, quando l’uomo accetta lieto e grato tutta la sofferenza dalla Mano del Padre e così riconosce sempre soltanto tutto come giusto per la salvezza della sua anima.

Quando il dolore aumenta, il Salvatore ti carica una crocetta, che devi tollerare per amore per Lui. Tali giorni renderanno l’anima infinitamente felice, perché ciò che il corpo porta pazientemente, è tolto all’anima, ed il suo stato diventa sempre più libero. La sofferenza corporea è il massimo aiuto per l’anima, e l’uomo la porta con gioia, così l’anima gli è grata e coglie da parte sua ogni occasione, dove può assistere il corpo con l’indicazione interiore per il bene dell’uomo nell’attività terrena.

Tutta la sofferenza agisce soltanto nobilitando, se l’uomo non si amareggia contro Colui il Quale invia su di lui questa sofferenza, e perciò è sempre soltanto salvifico per l’anima dell’uomo. E se la tentazione è grande di ribellarsi contro la Volontà di Dio, allora pensate soltanto alla sofferenza del Signore sulla Croce. Quanto indicibilmente sofferta era la Sua morte, e come il Signore ha preso sulle Sue Spalle con arrendevolezza tutta la sofferenza per Amore per l’umanità peccaminosa. E se vi tenete questo davanti agli occhi, allora porterete anche volenterosamente la vostra crocetta, perché il Signore non ve la carica più pesante di quello che siete in grado di portare. Ed il giusto amore per il Salvatore vi addolcisce tutta la sofferenza.

Una volta vi sorgerà una piccola Luce, di che cosa si tratta nella sofferenza, e la vostra anima gioirà, se siete stati volenterosi sulla Terra e vi siete conquistati grandi meriti mediante il portare la sofferenza, che ha un effetto estremamente benevolo nel mondo spirituale. Il tempo di vita vi carica bensì qualcosa, che vi sembra dapprima insuperabile, e perciò contendete con Dio e vi volete ribellare contro la Sua santissima Volontà, ma l’Amore di Dio vi insegnerà presto qualcos’altro, vi farà riconoscere, che è soltanto per il vostro meglio quando Egli vi manda la sofferenza, e l’esistenza terrena vi procurerà una ricca ricompensa, quando l’avete riconosciuta. Perciò pregate dal più profondo del cuore: “Signore la Tua Volontà sia fatta…”. E la vostra sofferenza si tramuterà in gioia, ed accoglierete grati la ricompensa, che vi risarcisce per tutta la sofferenza sulla Terra una volta nell’Eternità.
