Taking care of your physical well-being....

The world with its demands is mostly satisfied and there are so many occasions when a person is far more concerned about that which is transient and completely worthless at the end of days. And yet people's activity should continue to be focussed solely on the salvation of their soul and the struggle for daily needs should only weigh them down to a very small extent and not be regarded as the most important thing in earthly life. For it is much easier to fulfil the requirements of the body on earth than those of the soul for eternity. After all, the greatest problem has to be solved in earthly life, it is about the liberation of the soul from the matter which has held it captive for thousands of years, it is about the final return to God, the bearer of all light, whereas the body only demands its external maintenance for a short time and this desire can be easily fulfilled with the right realization and the right attitude towards God. If the human being completes the school of the spirit in the right way, he is guaranteed to be able to expect the separation of the soul from the body well prepared for eternity, for he has then utilized the time on earth as it was his task and worked on the perfection of his soul of his own accord. The body, however, which God has given him for his earthly task, also receives the kindness and love of the heavenly father and provides him with everything necessary for life. And so worrying about it is completely unfounded; life on earth will also be far easier to bear if the state of the soul is constantly taken into account. However, this can only be considered extensively if little attention is paid to all worldly interests.... It is not possible to solve both such opposing problems at the same time.... The world with all its demands cannot be satisfied at the same time if the work on the soul to achieve the state of perfection is to progress.... Only one thing is completely possible, and therefore the human being must make a decision and can only ever be fully active in one direction. People consider so little that they have to give up everything earthly when the hour of death approaches them.... but that they can gather another treasure in their time on earth which is imperishable.... which cannot be taken from them in the face of death and which can turn death.... the parting from the world into a painless, liberated entry into eternity.... This alone should be an incentive for them to devote themselves more diligently to the actual activity during their physical life and to stifle all earthly desires, the thought of earthly care should be so far from their minds, yet every hour should seem important to them for the redemption of the soul from its shell. Anyone who worries too much about his physical well-being only has to expect that this will be reduced by an invisible power.... that both the state of the body and the possession of earthly goods will be exposed to alarming shocks.... he has to expect that both the one and the other will be taken from him in order to point him to the actual task of earthly life and to make him realize the transience of everything earthly. On the other hand, the needs of daily life will always be given to an active earthly child who is concerned about the salvation of his soul, just as the father Himself commands the children, so that they are relieved of worrying about them and can pursue their spiritual work undisturbed. What the human being willingly gives up will be given to him in abundance, for the lord knows about everything.... He also knows the needs of the earthly child and wants to make life bearable for it if it only strives for that which alone is of importance.... However, all endeavours aimed at improving earthly life are useless and therefore cannot meet with the approval of the heavenly father.... on the contrary, they prevent the human being from fulfilling the task which is the actual purpose of his embodiment on earth....

Cuidados com o bem-estar físico....

O mundo com as suas exigências é na sua maioria satisfeito, e surgem tantas oportunidades em que o ser humano está muito mais preocupado com o que é transitório e completamente inútil no final dos dias. E, no entanto, a atividade das pessoas só deve continuar a aplicar-se à salvação da alma e a luta pelas necessidades diárias só deve oprimi-lo em menor grau, mas não deve ser considerada como a coisa mais importante na vida terrena. Pois é muito mais fácil satisfazer as exigências do corpo na Terra do que as da alma para a eternidade. Afinal, o maior problema tem de ser resolvido na vida terrena, diz respeito à libertação da alma da matéria que a manteve cativa durante milhares de anos, diz respeito ao retorno final a Deus, portador de toda a luz, enquanto que o corpo só exige a sua manutenção externa por um curto período de tempo e este desejo pode ser facilmente realizado com o conhecimento certo e a atitude certa para com Deus. Se o ser humano completar a escola do espírito da maneira correta, é-lhe garantido estar bem preparado para a eternidade para esperar a separação da alma do corpo, pois então terá usado o tempo na Terra como era sua tarefa e trabalhado na perfeição de sua alma por si mesmo. No entanto, o corpo que Deus lhe deu para a sua tarefa terrena também é mantido pela bondade e amor do Pai celestial e lhe provê tudo o que é necessário para a vida. E assim a preocupação com isso é completamente infundada, a vida na Terra também será muito mais fácil de suportar, considerando constantemente o estado da alma. Mas isto só pode ser considerado extensivamente se for dada pouca atenção a todos os interesses mundanos. Não é possível resolver os dois problemas opostos ao mesmo tempo.... O mundo com todas as suas exigências não pode ser satisfeito ao mesmo tempo se o trabalho sobre a alma for progredir para alcançar o estado de perfeição. Apenas um é completamente possível e, portanto, o ser humano deve decidir e só pode ser plenamente ativo de um lado. As pessoas pensam tão pouco no facto de que devem desistir de tudo o que é terreno quando a hora da morte se aproxima.... mas que podem recolher outro tesouro durante o seu tempo na terra, que é a eterna.... que não lhes pode ser tirado em face da morte e que pode moldar a morte.... a separação do mundo para uma entrada sem dor e libertada na eternidade.... Só isso deveria ser um incentivo para que eles se dedicassem mais diligentemente à atividade real durante sua vida corporal e para abafar todo desejo terreno, o pensamento da provisão terrena deveria estar tão distante deles, mas cada hora deveria parecer-lhes importante para a redenção da alma de sua concha. Qualquer pessoa que esteja demasiado preocupada com o seu bem-estar físico só pode esperar que seja reduzido por um poder invisível.... que tanto o estado do seu corpo como a posse de bens terrenos sejam sujeitos a choques alarmantes.... ele tem de esperar que um, assim como o outro, lhe seja tirado, a fim de o apontar para a tarefa real da vida terrena e de o tornar consciente da transitoriedade de todas as coisas terrenas. Enquanto que, inversamente, uma criança terrestre ativa, preocupada com a salvação de sua alma, sempre receberá as necessidades da vida diária, assim como o próprio Pai ordenou aos filhos, para que eles fiquem aliviados de se preocuparem com eles e possam prosseguir seu trabalho espiritual sem serem perturbados. O que o ser humano de bom grado abdica será dado a ele em abundância, pois o Senhor sabe de tudo.... Ele também conhece as necessidades da criança terrena e quer tornar a vida suportável para ela se ela só se esforçar por aquilo que só por si é importante.... No entanto, todos os esforços para melhorar a vida terrena são inúteis e, portanto, também não conseguem encontrar a aprovação do Pai celestial.... pelo contrário, impedem o ser humano de cumprir a tarefa que é o verdadeiro objectivo da sua encarnação na Terra....
