Taking care of your physical well-being....

The world with its demands is mostly satisfied and there are so many occasions when a person is far more concerned about that which is transient and completely worthless at the end of days. And yet people's activity should continue to be focussed solely on the salvation of their soul and the struggle for daily needs should only weigh them down to a very small extent and not be regarded as the most important thing in earthly life. For it is much easier to fulfil the requirements of the body on earth than those of the soul for eternity. After all, the greatest problem has to be solved in earthly life, it is about the liberation of the soul from the matter which has held it captive for thousands of years, it is about the final return to God, the bearer of all light, whereas the body only demands its external maintenance for a short time and this desire can be easily fulfilled with the right realization and the right attitude towards God. If the human being completes the school of the spirit in the right way, he is guaranteed to be able to expect the separation of the soul from the body well prepared for eternity, for he has then utilized the time on earth as it was his task and worked on the perfection of his soul of his own accord. The body, however, which God has given him for his earthly task, also receives the kindness and love of the heavenly father and provides him with everything necessary for life. And so worrying about it is completely unfounded; life on earth will also be far easier to bear if the state of the soul is constantly taken into account. However, this can only be considered extensively if little attention is paid to all worldly interests.... It is not possible to solve both such opposing problems at the same time.... The world with all its demands cannot be satisfied at the same time if the work on the soul to achieve the state of perfection is to progress.... Only one thing is completely possible, and therefore the human being must make a decision and can only ever be fully active in one direction. People consider so little that they have to give up everything earthly when the hour of death approaches them.... but that they can gather another treasure in their time on earth which is imperishable.... which cannot be taken from them in the face of death and which can turn death.... the parting from the world into a painless, liberated entry into eternity.... This alone should be an incentive for them to devote themselves more diligently to the actual activity during their physical life and to stifle all earthly desires, the thought of earthly care should be so far from their minds, yet every hour should seem important to them for the redemption of the soul from its shell. Anyone who worries too much about his physical well-being only has to expect that this will be reduced by an invisible power.... that both the state of the body and the possession of earthly goods will be exposed to alarming shocks.... he has to expect that both the one and the other will be taken from him in order to point him to the actual task of earthly life and to make him realize the transience of everything earthly. On the other hand, the needs of daily life will always be given to an active earthly child who is concerned about the salvation of his soul, just as the father Himself commands the children, so that they are relieved of worrying about them and can pursue their spiritual work undisturbed. What the human being willingly gives up will be given to him in abundance, for the lord knows about everything.... He also knows the needs of the earthly child and wants to make life bearable for it if it only strives for that which alone is of importance.... However, all endeavours aimed at improving earthly life are useless and therefore cannot meet with the approval of the heavenly father.... on the contrary, they prevent the human being from fulfilling the task which is the actual purpose of his embodiment on earth....

La preoccupazione per il benessere corporeo

Il mondo con le sue pretese viene quasi sempre assecondato, e risultano così tante occasioni, nelle quali l’uomo è molto più preoccupato per ciò che è temporaneo e totalmente inutile per la fine dei giorni. Ma l’attività degli uomini dovrebbe essere rivolta solo alla salvezza dell’anima e la lotta per i bisogni giornalieri lo dovrebbero opprimere molto di meno, ma non dovrebbero essere considerati come la cosa più importante nella vita terrena, perché è molto più semplice assecondare le pretese del corpo sulla Terra che quelle dell’anima per l’Eternità.

Nella vita terrena si tratta di risolvere il problema più grande, si tratta della liberazione dell’anima dalla materia che l’ha tenuta catturata prima attraverso dei millenni, si tratta del definitivo ritorno a Dio, al Portatore di Ogni Luce, mentre il corpo esige solo per breve tempo il suo mantenimento esteriore e questo desiderio è facilmente accontentabile nella giusta conoscenza e la vera predisposizione d’animo verso Dio.

Se l’uomo assolve nel modo giusto la Scuola dello spirito, allora gli è data la garanzia, di poter aspettare ben preparato per l’Eternità la separazione dell’anima dal corpo, perché allora ha utilizzato il tempo terreno com’era il suo compito, ed ha lavorato con propria spinta al perfezionamento della sua anima. Ma il corpo, che gli ha dato Dio per il suo compito terreno, riceve anche la Benignità e l’Amore del Padre celeste e lo provvede con tutto il necessario per la vita. E così la preoccupazione per questo è totalmente infondata, la vita sulla Terra sarà anche molto più sopportabile nel costante rispetto della condizione dell’anima. Questa può essere ricordata abbondantemente, quando viene data poca attenzione a tutti gli interessi mondani.

Non si possono risolvere due problemi così opposti contemporaneamente, che sono così opposti. Non si può contemporaneamente assecondare il mondo con tutte le sue pretese, se deve procedere il lavoro sull’anima per il raggiungimento della condizione di perfezione. Solo una cosa è definitivamente possibile, e perciò l’uomo si deve decidere e può sempre soltanto essere attivo pienamente da una parte. Gli uomini pensano così poco che devono appunto rinunciare a tutto il terreno, quando si avvicina a loro l’ora della morte, che però si possono raccogliere un altro tesoro nel tempo terreno, che è imperituro, che in vista della morte non può essere loro tolto e la morte, il decedere dal mondo, può formare l’entrata indolore, libera nell’Eternità. Già solo questo dovrebbe essere uno stimolo per loro di darsi con maggior fervore alla vera attività durante la vita del loro corpo e di soffocare ogni desiderio terreno, Il pensiero all’approvvigionamento terreno dovrebbe essere così lontano da loro, ma sembrare importante ogni ora per la liberazione dell’anima dal suo involucro.

Chi si occupa troppo nella preoccupazione per il suo benessere corporeo, ha da aspettarsi, che questo viene diminuito dalla Potenza invisibile, che sia la condizione corporea come anche il possesso di beni terreni sono esposti a notevoli scuotimenti, ha da aspettarsi, che gli venga tolto sia l’una e l’altra cosa, per indicare anche a lui il vero compito della vita terrena e di mettergli davanti agli occhi la periturità di tutto il terreno. Mentre viceversa, ad un figlio terreno preoccupato per la salvezza dell’anima, giungono sempre i bisogni della vita quotidiana, come offerti dal Padre Stesso ai figli, affinché siano liberati dalla preoccupazione per questi e che possano svolgere indisturbati il loro lavoro spirituale.

Ciò a cui l’uomo rinuncia volontariamente, gli giungerà in ricca misura, perché il Signore sà tutto. Egli conosce anche i bisogni del figlio terreno e gli vuole rendere sopportabile la vita, se aspira solamente a ciò che è unicamente importante. Ma tutti gli sforzi rivolti al miglioramento della vita terrena, sono inutili e perciò non possono nemmeno trovare l’Approvazione del Padre celeste, al contrario, ostacolano l’uomo nell’adempimento del compito, che è il vero scopo della sua incorporazione sulla Terra.
