Limits of the mind.... worldly wise.... "I know that I know nothing...."

The work of the spiritual forces must begin at the limit of the intellect, for you humans would never be able to solve the riddles of nature with your knowledge if these same forces did not want to impart knowledge to you at the same time so that you can easily enter into the workings of divine creation. The spirits who dwell around you instruct you and try to guide your thoughts so that they come close to the truth. And the more you cultivate faith within yourselves.... the more you feel the essence of the deity within you, the brighter and clearer these thoughts will be able to penetrate you. Only those who believe that they can completely fathom out of their own strength what the father of the universe has still concealed will remain unsuccessful in their struggle for knowledge for a long time.... He will always be unsure of his success.... he will always have doubts about the truth of his findings, and he will have to admit the inadequacy of his knowledge with the words: "I know that I know nothing". But the inner connection with God gives him the key to all knowledge and at the same time the guarantee that he is on the right path and in the fullest truth. God has arranged it in such a way that the spiritual life in a person is completely separate from purely earthly endeavours and that the spiritual bridge is only entered by those who are absorbed in the spiritual and whose actions and deeds are rooted in the realization that they belong to God. Let the wise of the world enquire and ponder.... The lord has set His limits, which they cannot cross without His help, and this again must be fully consciously requested.... For he who thinks himself above prayer is on the way to losing himself completely.... However, anyone who is able to send up a heartfelt prayer to the father of all is already working with spiritual strength and can now continue his research and pondering without having to fear going astray.... For the help he asks for is granted to him from the very beginning. Thoughts now come very easily to the truly pious person, he only needs to absorb them and knowledge will be opened up to him about all things he deems desirable to explore. However, if you allow such people to express their experiences they will always encounter hostility and rejection from those who believe that they alone possess the ability to find authoritative insights, and thus the worldly wise man who does not recognize God correctly...., if not godless world wise, with his supposed knowledge and the seeker of truth who stands in deepest humility towards God and wants to serve Him and people, to whom this truth is conveyed in the richest measure by the lord Himself, will always fight against each other. Yet the world will never allow itself to be convinced of how little it can achieve in the field of knowledge through its own efforts. Rather, it will oppose this right endeavour with everything and will want to persecute and pillory the bearers of truth.... But as long as the lord Himself works through them, any action against this is fruitless. The power of worldly people is small, they are only able to carry out their disgraceful plans through free will, but the effect will be weakened by God so that the child who wants to serve God need by no means fear falling victim to these counter endeavours.... After all, the final decision is always in the hands of the heavenly father, only in order not to interfere with the human being's free will He must allow each person to act as he pleases.... Yet He protects His own from the poisonous spittle of those corrupters of the world and creates confusion in their own ranks that makes them take notice. The laws of nature are always the cause of well-calculated results.... But when the wise deity Himself overturns such a law, because He has the power to do so from eternity, and people are then perplexed by phenomena for which they know no explanation, then they are given proof that their knowledge alone is still very incomplete. And so generations can deal with problems again and again.... they will never reach the final solution by purely intellectual means, but will be completely initiated and enlightened in a very short time with God's help. If you ask for it, you will never walk in darkness and on wrong paths, but your path will lead you safely towards your eternal home, since God Himself has shown it to you....

Los límites del entendimiento – Los sabios del mundo – “Sé que no sé nada”

En el límite del entendimiento deben empezar a actuar las fuerzas del espíritu, porque vosotros, los hombres, nunca podríais resolver los misterios de la naturaleza si al mismo tiempo esos poderes no quisieran impartiros un conocimiento para que podáis encontrar fácilmente acceso al funcionamiento de la Creación divina. Los espíritus que os rodean os enseñan y tratan de dirigir vuestros pensamientos de tal manera que se acerquen a la Verdad. Y cuanto más alberguéis la fe dentro de vosotros, cuanto más sentiréis la esencia de la Divinidad dentro de vosotros, más brillantes y claros estos pensamientos os podrán penetrar.

Pero quien cree poder descubrir por sí mismo lo que el Padre del Universo aún ha ocultado, cuya lucha por el conocimiento permanecerá infructuosa durante mucho tiempo. Nunca estará enteramente seguro de su éxito. Siempre se despertarán dudas en él acerca de la verdad de sus afirmaciones, y con las palabras: “Sé que no sé nada”, tendrá que admitir la insuficiencia de su conocimiento. Sin embargo, la conexión interior con Dios le da la clave de todo conocimiento y al mismo tiempo la garantía de estar en el buen camino y de encontrarse en la verdad más completa. Dios lo ha dispuesto de tal manera que que la vida espiritual en el hombre esté completamente separada de los esfuerzos puramente terrenales y que solo aquel entre al puente espiritual que esté inmerso en lo espiritual y cuyas actividades y acciones estén enraizadas en el conocimiento de su pertenencia a Dios.

Dejad que los inteligentes del mundo investiguen y cavilen. El Señor ha puesto Sus límites, que no se pueden cruzar sin Su ayuda, y esta, a su vez, debe ser exigida con plena conciencia. Porque él que se cree superior a la oración está en camino de perderse completamente. Sin embargo, quien es capaz de enviar una oración íntima al Padre del Universo ya actúa con fuerza espiritual, y ahora puede continuar su investigación y sus cavilaciones sin tener que temer extraviarse. Porque la ayuda que pide le es concedida a partir de este momento. Al hombre realmente piadoso, le llegan muy fácilmente los pensamientos, de modo que solamente necesita aceptarlas, y se le abre ahora un conocimiento sobre todas las cosas que considera deseable explorar.

Sin embargo, dejad que tales personas expresen sus experiencias, y siempre encontrarán hostilidad y rechazo por parte de aquellos que creen que solo ellos tienen la capacidad de encontrar las soluciones decisivas, y así siempre estará luchando quien no reconoce realmente a Dios, si no incluso el impío sabio del mundo con su supuesto conocimiento, y el buscador de la Verdad que está en la más profunda humildad frente a Dios y que quiere servirLe a Él y a sus prójimos, a quien esta Verdad es transmitida en la más rica medida por el Señor Mismo. Pero el mundo nunca se dejará convencer de lo poco que puede alcanzar por su propia fuerza en el campo del conocimiento.

Más bien, todo lo opondrá a esta justa aspiración y querrá perseguir y poner en la picota a los portadores de la Verdad. Pero mientras el Señor Mismo obre por medio de ellos, cualquier acción en contra de ellos será infructuosa. El poder de los hombres mundanos es pequeño, solamente por el libre albedrío son capaces de llevar a cabo sus planes ignominiosos, pero el efecto será debilitado por Dios, de modo que el hijo que quiere servir a Dios no tiene que temer en absoluto de caer víctima de estos esfuerzos contrarios. La decisión final está siempre en manos del Padre celestial; sólo para no estorbar el libre albedrío de los hombres, tiene que dejar que cada uno actúe como le plazca. Pero Él protege bien a los Suyos de la saliva venenosa de esos destructores del mundo y crea una confusión en sus propias filas que les hace prestar atención.

Las leyes de la naturaleza son siempre la razón de resultados bien calculados. Pero si ahora la sabia Deidad Misma anula tal ley, porque desde la eternidad tiene el poder de hacerlo, y los hombres entonces se quedan perplejos frente a los fenómenos para los cuales no tienen explicación, entonces tienen la prueba de que su conocimiento es todavía muy fragmentario. Y así, generaciones pueden enfrentarse a los problemas una y otra vez, nunca llegarán a una solución final de una manera puramente racional, mientras que serán completamente iniciados e iluminados con la ayuda de Dios en el tiempo más breve. Si la pedís, nunca andaréis en las tinieblas y por caminos erróneos, sino que vuestro camino os conducirá con seguridad hacia la Patria eterna, ya que Dios Mismo os lo ha señalado.
