Lies and truth....

The greatest evil is lying.... If you recognize the truth and yet pay no attention to it, you allow the spirit of lies to gain power over you.... and its power is greater than you believe, for it poisons your whole thinking.... it robs you of all power of judgement and always has a myriad of vices and bad habits behind it, all of which have their origin in lies. If the light is to shine for you, you must remain in the truth, for where there is falsehood, there is also darkness. No soul likes such darkness, but it is inevitably pushed into it where the truth is not respected. All tribulation comes from lies.... The lie opens the door to evil passions and desires.... it is often so inconspicuous in itself and yet it destroys all good instincts in people. And so all corruption is rooted in the lie, for it is a product of darkness. And so listen up: as long as you do not endeavour to cultivate the purest truth within you.... as long as you take refuge in even the smallest paraphrases or untruths, the spirit of truth will never be able to enlighten you, for you can only unite with the eternal deity when you are completely pure of heart and detest lies with all your heart. And now you see the consequences of a lie swelling to enormous proportions.... You do not know how enormous the effects of the lie are.... how it creates evil and reproduces itself, always giving birth to new lies.... And that is why the lie is the death of the soul, just as the pure truth is the light from the heavens for it. But if you stand up for the truth, it will remain light and bright in you and you will defeat the lie.... For just as the lie is mighty in its power and constantly brings evil in its wake, the pure truth is nevertheless much stronger and can illuminate the night of lies with the brightest light by virtue of its power.... And if mankind only wanted to seek the truth, it would force the lie to its feet and bring infinite blessings to the earth. But as it is, too many opposing forces prevail and are fought little or not at all, and the lie spreads across the whole earth and brings about incredible destruction.... And this is one reason why so little credence is given to the possibility of a pure spiritual connection between the earth and the beyond. What is not so easy for people to understand, they immediately throw into the realm of lies.... They do not scrutinize, but immediately reject, because they know the lie and its accompanying phenomena only too well and know that its devastation extends over all areas.... Pure truth is a lie in their eyes.... they are much more likely to accept the lie unchecked.... If they were to turn to God for enlightenment, they would soon lose all doubt and their powers of judgement would be sharpened, and they would very soon know how to distinguish truth from lies. There would be light in their hearts and they would flee the lie as the most shameful work of evil.... But as long as mankind does not take refuge in prayer.... and plead for knowledge of the truth, it will remain subject to the lie, and that through its own fault.... For the lord imparts the pure truth to His children on earth and wants to offer it to all people.... But who accepts it?.... Only a small part, but the others grope in the blackest darkness and remain children of lies of their own will, and so they will hardly attain eternal life, for only the truth guarantees them this....

Leugen en waarheid (1)

Het grootste van alle kwaad is de leugen. Als jullie de waarheid kennen en haar toch niet respecteren, dan geven jullie de leugengeest meer macht over jullie. En zijn macht is groter dan jullie geloven, want hij vergiftigt heel jullie denken. Hij ontneemt jullie elk beoordelingsvermogen. En hij heeft steeds ontelbare zonden en ondeugden achter zich staan, die allemaal hun oorsprong hebben in de leugen.

Wil het licht nu voor jullie opgaan, dan moeten jullie in de waarheid blijven. Want waar de leugen is, is ook de duisternis. Geen enkele ziel vindt welbehagen in deze duisternis, maar ze wordt er onvermijdelijk in geduwd, waar de waarheid niet gerespecteerd wordt. Alle ellende is afkomstig van de leugen. De leugen opent alle deuren voor de kwade hartstochten en begeerten. Ze is op zichzelf vaak zo onopvallend en toch vernietigt ze alle goede neigingen in de mens. En zo wortelt alle verderf in de leugen, want ze is een product van de duisternis.

Luister daarom aandachtig: Zolang jullie je niet inspannen om in jullie de zuiverste waarheid te koesteren, zolang jullie nog toevlucht nemen tot nog zo kleine herschrijvingen of onwaarheden, zal de geest der waarheid jullie nooit opheldering kunnen verschaffen. Want jullie kunnen je pas met de eeuwige Godheid verenigen, wanneer jullie hart volledig rein is en jullie de leugen hartgrondig verafschuwen.

En nu zien jullie de gevolgen van een web van leugens aanzwellen tot reusachtige draagwijdte. Jullie weten niet hoe enorm de effecten van de leugen zijn, hoe ze het kwade opwekt en zich voortplant door steeds nieuwe leugens in de wereld te brengen. En daarom is de leugen gelijk aan de dood van de ziel, zoals de zuivere waarheid het licht uit de hemel voor haar betekent. Als jullie je echter voor de waarheid inzetten, dan zal het licht en helder in jullie blijven, en zullen jullie de leugen overwinnen. Want al heeft de leugen enorm veel macht en trekt ze het kwade steeds naar zich toe, toch is de zuivere waarheid veel sterker en kan ze krachtens haar macht de nacht van de leugen met het helderste licht verlichten.

En als de mensheid maar de waarheid zou willen zoeken, zou dit de leugen op de knieën dwingen en de aarde oneindig veel zegen brengen. Maar er heersen teveel tegenkrachten en ze worden weinig of helemaal niet bestreden. En de leugen verspreidt zich over de hele aarde en brengt ongelofelijke vernietigingen tot stand. En dit is een reden waarom er zo weinig geloof geschonken wordt aan de mogelijkheid van een zuiver geestelijke verbinding tussen de aarde en het hiernamaals.

Wat voor de mensen niet zo gemakkelijk te begrijpen is, verwijzen ze meteen naar het rijk der fabelen. Ze onderzoeken het niet, maar wijzen het meteen af, omdat ze de leugen en haar bijverschijnselen maar al te goed kennen en ze weten dat haar verwoestingen zich over alle gebieden uitstrekken.

Zuivere waarheid is in hun ogen leugen. De leugen nemen ze veel eerder aan zonder deze te onderzoeken. Als ze zich tot God zouden wenden om opheldering, zou elke twijfel spoedig voor hen verdwijnen. Hun beoordelingsvermogen zou aangescherpt worden en ze zouden zeer snel de waarheid van de leugen weten te onderscheiden. In hun harten zou het licht worden en ze zouden voor de leugen vluchten als voor het schandelijkste werk van het kwaad.

Maar zolang de mensheid geen toevlucht neemt tot het gebed en erom smeekt de waarheid te kennen, zal ze onderworpen blijven aan de leugen en dat door eigen schuld. Want de Heer doet Zijn kinderen op aarde de zuivere waarheid toekomen en Hij zou haar aan alle mensen willen geven, maar wie neemt haar aan? Slechts een klein deel. De anderen tasten echter in de zwartste duisternis en blijven uit eigen wil kinderen van de leugen. En zo zullen ze moeilijk het eeuwige leven bereiken, want alleen de waarheid garandeert hun deze.
