Comfort.... indirect help of the spirit beings in abandonment of the soul....

Behold, I am with you always.... and I stand close to My own and give them strength.... It is an infinitely reassuring thought to know that you are protected by the lord of creation, and therefore people who see the lord as their friend and protector and their father will also be able to complete their journey through life in peace. Become like children and entrust yourselves to the father!.... He hears your prayers and stands by you in your needs, for it is His will that you be saved from heartache and find your way to Him without it. Every soul receives such wonderful proofs of His love through God's grace and will be allowed to enjoy these proofs of love more often the more it turns to Him. It is all the more understandable that the right union with the lord arises when His love embraces the human child and expresses itself in such a way that He promises power on earth, equal to divine power.

You will recognize that an invisible unification of the spirit with the soul takes place when you become aware of this strength within yourselves, for God allows this extraordinary grace where one's own will strives for perfection and where continued work on the soul puts it into such a state that the spirit can unite with the soul and consequently all constraint of matter falls away from it. It is an unparalleled battle which an earthly child has to fight if the soul wants to shake off the chains of matter.... without God's grace this would be impossible, for the human being's strength is far from sufficient, yet every soul has just been offered immense means through the lord's love.... Every desiring thought causes these means to be given to the soul, and thus again the path is an easy one when God's grace is implored.... yet if people do not pay attention to prayer they will very soon become negligent in their possible endeavour to ascend.... they achieve nothing through their own strength, become weary and soon abandon their endeavour altogether. Yet the soul fears and dreads this sluggishness and suffers unspeakably when the human being's will weakens. But little help can come from the spiritual world either, for its inhabitants also wait for the plea before they are allowed to intervene.... In such abandonment the soul will often feel compelled to commit an obvious breach of faith against the body. It will cause the body to enter into the most severe inner conflicts and cannot spare it spiritual depression, so that the body, despite living well and fulfilling earthly desires, finds no rest and spends its days in true self-weariness, and this influence of the soul on the body can sometimes determine it to let go of worldly desires and turn its thoughts to the spiritual life.... If people did not let such inner warnings, bad moods and agonizing self-reproaches pass unheeded, they would often come to their senses much sooner, and the soul would thank them for it. Only in the constant harassment of the body does the soul find support from loving spiritual beings if they are not called upon directly for help. Every failure, every annoyance and every unpleasant event is, as it were, a help from above to support the soul, to make the body compliant, so that soul and body devote themselves to working on themselves together. And again, such joint work is indispensable if the soul is to reach the degree of maturity to be able to harbour the divine spirit within itself. For where the body does not follow the same path, matter is an insurmountable obstacle to the unification of the soul with the divine spirit. Every work of the soul must be carried out by the body at the same time, there must be complete agreement between body and soul.... and without resistance the body must carry out what serves the soul alone....

Comfort.... Ajuda indireta dos seres espirituais no abandono da alma....

Eis que estou contigo todos os dias.... e eu estou perto dos Meus e dou-lhes força.... É um pensamento infinitamente reconfortante saber que você está protegido pelo Senhor da criação e, portanto, as pessoas que vêem seu amigo e protetor e seu Pai no Senhor também serão capazes de completar a jornada de sua vida em paz. Tornai-vos como crianças e confiai-vos ao Pai! .... Ele ouve a sua oração e o apoia na sua adversidade, pois é a Sua vontade que você seja protegido da dor do coração e encontre o seu caminho até Ele sem ela. Cada alma recebe uma evidência maravilhosa de Seu amor através da graça de Deus e será permitido desfrutar desta evidência de amor com mais freqüência quanto mais ela se voltar para Ele. É tanto mais compreensível que a ligação certa com o Senhor surja quando o Seu amor abraçar a criança humana e se expressar de tal forma que Ele prometa força na Terra, como força divina. Reconhecereis que uma união invisível do espírito com a alma se realiza quando tomais consciência dessa força dentro de vós, pois Deus permite essa graça extraordinária onde a própria vontade se esforça pela perfeição e onde o trabalho contínuo sobre a alma a coloca no estado de que o espírito pode unir-se à alma e, conseqüentemente, todo o constrangimento da matéria se afasta dela. É uma batalha inigualável que uma criança terrena tem de travar se a alma quiser sacudir as correntes da matéria.... sem a graça de Deus isso seria impossível, pois a força do ser humano está longe de ser suficiente, no entanto, a cada alma acabam de ser oferecidos imensos meios através do amor do Senhor.... Todos os pensamentos desejosos fazem com que estes meios sejam dados à alma, e assim o caminho é novamente fácil quando a graça de Deus é implorada.... mas as pessoas não prestam atenção à oração e muito em breve se tornarão negligentes nos seus possíveis esforços para ascender.... eles não conseguem nada com as suas próprias forças, ficam cansados e logo abandonam o seu plano. Mas a alma teme e teme essa morosidade e sofre de forma indescritível quando a vontade do ser humano se afrouxa. Mas também pouca ajuda pode vir do mundo espiritual, pois seus habitantes também esperam a súplica antes de poderem intervir.... Em tal abandono a alma muitas vezes se sentirá compelida a cometer uma evidente quebra de fé no corpo. Ele deixará o corpo entrar nos mais graves conflitos internos e não pode poupar-lhe depressões espirituais, para que o corpo, apesar de viver bem e satisfazer os desejos terrenos, não encontre descanso e passe os seus dias em verdadeiro desgaste próprio, e esta influência da alma no corpo pode, por vezes, determiná-lo a abster-se de desejos mundanos e a virar os seus pensamentos para a vida espiritual.... Se as pessoas não deixassem passar tais avisos interiores, mau humor e auto-repreensões agonizantes, muitas vezes alcançariam a percepção muito mais cedo, e a alma lhes agradeceria por isso. Somente no assédio constante do corpo a alma encontra apoio da parte de seres espirituais amorosos, se estes não forem diretamente chamados a pedir ajuda. Cada falha, cada aborrecimento e cada ocorrência desagradável é, por assim dizer, uma ajuda do além para apoiar a alma, para tornar o corpo conforme, para que alma e corpo se dediquem juntos a trabalhar sobre si mesmos. E mais uma vez, esse trabalho conjunto é indispensável para que a alma atinja o grau de maturidade, a fim de poder conter o espírito divino dentro de si mesma. Pois onde o corpo não segue o mesmo caminho, a matéria é um obstáculo intransponível para a unificação da alma com o espírito de Deus. Todo trabalho da alma deve ser realizado pelo corpo ao mesmo tempo, deve haver um acordo completo entre o corpo e a alma.... e o corpo deve realizar sem resistência o que é unicamente útil para a alma....
