Purpose of suffering - Trials.... Lethargy of the spirit....

Many things in life discourage the human being.... it is like a bond which binds the heart of such a person. Time and again doubts in the goodness and mercy of God arise when grief and suffering occur too often.... and yet they only give you an inner maturity which otherwise would take much longer to achieve. And since your earthly life only lasts a short time it is necessary that such depressing or painful occurrences must take place frequently and sometimes one after another so that you may derive blessings from them, that you look upon your life earnestly and carefully and that your desire turns more and more away from the world and its attractions, which are a serious danger to you. Life often seems unbearable for the individual, sometimes such an earthly child tires and loses heart.... it drifts without making any effort to change this discouraged existence. And yet it would be so easy for you as soon as the right attitude towards God shows you the way you have to go. But consider the many seemingly insurmountable obstacles in your life.... would you have escaped from them if you had not been given help from above every time....

But you do not always recognise this help as sent from above, yet every occurrence is a flow of God’s grace.... whether good or bad.... it always has the same purpose: to have a refining effect on you, My earthly children. If you can see in every test a means of improvement then you will also recognise your own shortcomings and failures, and with this recognition comes the quiet will to overcome them.... Then every trial has already served its purpose.... and therefore you must realise in every difficult situation that they are necessary to achieve a higher degree of maturity.... that they are steps on the ladder which leads the soul to perfection, so to speak. A life without struggle would only mean to stay on the same level, however, the battle against oneself is far more difficult to carry out than the battle against enemies who approach the human being from outside.

Every awakening from the lethargy of the spirit is a step forward.... the alert human being will remember his spirit and not let it starve, for lethargy is a relapse and cannot be called ‘enlivening’ in any way, it will defeat every urge to be active and can never have a beneficial influence on the soul. Therefore do not be alarmed when life’s difficulties seem hard to bear.... if they make you aware of your shortcomings and you fight them then they will disappear again in not too long a time, for the Lord only allows such trials until they have served their purpose and improved the heart of the human being. Because it is not His will that you should suffer except that through this you are made worthy of everlasting joy....

Propósito de sufrimiento.... Pruebas.... Pesadez de la mente....

A veces los sucesos en la vida desaniman al hombre.... es como un anillo que se abarca por tal corazón de una persona, y una y otra vez quiere levantar dudas sobre la bondad y la misericordia de Dios, si los sufrimientos y preocupaciones surgen con demasiada frecuencia.... y, sin embargo, solo os dan la madurez interior que de otro modo tendríais que lograr en mucho más tiempo. Y dado que la vida solo abarca un corto periodo de tiempo, tales sucesos opresivos y atormentadores tendrán que ocurrir con frecuencia, y a veces, rápidamente uno tras otro, para que de eso os crece la bendición, que toméis la vida en serio y con prudencia y que os alejéis cada vez más del mundo y sus encantos, lo que significa un peligro para vosotros al mismo tiempo.

La vida a menudo parece insoportable para el individuo, a veces incluso el niño terrenal se cansa y deja las alas colgando.... se deja llevar sin hacer nada en contra para cambia esta vida desanimada. Y, sin embargo, sería tan fácil para vosotros tan pronto como la actitud correcta hacia Dios os indique el camino que debéis tomar.... prestad atención a los muchos obstáculos insuperables en vuestra vida.... os hubierais escapado de esos, si no se hubiera presentado siempre ayuda desde arriba....

No siempre la reconocéis como enviada desde arriba, pero cada suceso es un flujo de la gracia de Dios.... sea bueno o malo.... Siempre tiene el mismo propósito de tener un efecto de refinamiento en vosotros, los niños humanos, y si este es capaz de ver un correctivo en cada prueba, entonces ya existe el reconocimiento de sus propios errores y debilidades, y con el reconocimiento también ya hay un deseo silencioso de luchar contra ellos.... entonces cada prueba ha cumplido su propósito.... y, por lo tanto, en cada situación difícil, los pensamientos siempre deben dirigirse al hecho de que son necesarios para lograr un mayor nivel de madurez.... que son, por así decirlo, los peldaños en la escalera que llevan a la perfección del alma....

Una vida sin lucha significaría quedarse siempre en el mismo nivel, solo la lucha contra uno mismo es más difícil de combatir que contra los enemigos que se acercan a los hombres desde afuera. Cada despertar de la indolencia mental es un progreso.... el hombre despierto también considerará también su espíritu, no lo dejará morir de hambre.... pero la indolencia es un paso atrás, y no se puede llamar de ninguna manera como vigorizante, sofocará cualquier impulso de actuar y nunca puede tener un efecto positivo en el alma.

Por lo tanto, no os dejéis asustar donde la adversidad de la vida parece difícil de soportar.... si habéis descubierto vuestros errores a través de esto y habéis luchado contra ellos, pronto desaparecerá, porque el Señor solo permite tales pruebas hasta que hayan cumplido su propósito y hayan tenido un efecto positivo en el corazón del hombre. Porque su voluntad no es que sufráis, sino solo que a través de esto os hacéis digno del gozo eterno....
