4530 God's love and mercy....

January 2, 1949: Book 52

I mercifully look upon the inhabitants of earth who, in their delusion, strive and hunt for material goods and leave the short time on earth, which is given to them for salvation, unused. I know about their lack of maturity, I see their idleness of life, I see the spiritual hardship and the fate they face after the end of their physical life, I see their will, their hardened hearts, their unbelief and their lack of strength and inability to save themselves, and this state takes pity on Me. My love is for these wretched ones to whom no salvation can be brought because they don't want to be saved.... And My love always devises new means to turn their will towards Me; for I don't want to lose a soul, I want to win it back and possess it for eternity. I approach all people in the form of suffering which shall make their hearts pliable and receptive for My love and grace; I speak to all people Myself through life, and I seek to urge all people onto the bridge which leads to Me.... I seek to cause them to pray so that I can assist them. I Myself dwell on this earth amongst people who no longer recognize Me, I speak to them through My servants and constantly appeal for their love, for My mercy is exceedingly great because My love is infinite.... And I have little success, for greed for matter prevails, people are too earthly minded and don't think of their souls. Nevertheless, I will not give them up, for one day even the most obdurate soul will find its way back to Me, one day it will feel touched by My love and longingly approach Me, one day it will become Mine, even though it will take eternities, for My love is strength and life and My mercy knows no bounds.... And so I must one day win back every soul, and whether it languishes in deepest darkness.... one day it will strive for the light and thus also for Me....

Amen
