Liebegeist ist Schutz gegen Versuchung und Gegner Gottes....

Verbleibet immer im Geist der Liebe.... Nur dann seid ihr gefeit gegen die Angriffe des Feindes, denn die Liebe fliehet er, und an einen Menschen, der immer liebeerfüllt ist, tritt er nicht heran. Doch sowie sich nur ein Fünkchen Lieblosigkeit im Herzen eines Menschen bemerkbar macht, findet er Einschlupf und versucht alles, um sich noch mehr Raum zu verschaffen. Er verleitet ihn zur Unduldsamkeit, zur Selbstgerechtigkeit und zum Hochmut, um in ihm die Liebe zu ersticken, um dann freie Hand zu haben und sich den Willen des Menschen gefügig zu machen. Es wird ihm das niemals gelingen, wo die Liebe ist, denn diese gibt ihm kein Angriffsfeld, sie wehret ihm und hat auch die Kraft, ihn abzuwehren.... Doch immer wieder kommt der Mensch in Lagen, wo er sich bewähren soll, weil er nur dann aufwärtssteigen kann, wenn er kämpfet oder dienet.... Und also wird er Widerstände überwinden müssen, er wird sich hinabneigen müssen zu dem Hilflosen und ihm emporhelfen, er wird sich also in dienender Nächstenliebe betätigen müssen.... Tut er dies, dann wird sein Kämpfen geringer werden, weil dann die Liebe ihm Kraft gibt zum Bewähren, wenn ihm Widerstand erwächst. Doch hüten muß sich der Mensch vor dem Nachlassen des Liebefeuers.... wenn er nicht dem Versucher sich ausliefern will, der dann sofort bereit ist, nachzuhelfen und das Liebefeuer ganz zu ersticken.... Er ist voller List und Tücke, und er versteht es meisterhaft, euch Fallen zu stellen, in die ihr ahnungslos geratet, wenn nicht das Liebelicht in euren Herzen so hell brennt, daß ihr ihn erkennt, und ob er sich noch so gut tarnt.... Darum kann euch immer nur zugerufen werden: Verbleibet im Geist der Liebe.... denn dann seid ihr verbunden mit Gott und habet den Feind nicht zu fürchten. Und ihr könnet auch jeder Versuchung erfolgreich mit Liebe begegnen.... was es auch sei.... Wenn Menschen euch demütigen wollen, wenn sie euch zur Ungeduld reizen wollen, wenn sie in euch den Neid zu erwecken suchen.... immer steckt der Versucher dahinter, und immer werdet ihr ihn schlagen und verjagen, wenn ihr in der Liebe verbleibet.... Dann wird alles ohne Eindruck bleiben auf euch, dann werdet ihr die Mitmenschen nur als kranke Seelen betrachten, die sich zu solchen Versuchen dem Widersacher hingeben, und ihr werdet ihnen mit Liebe entgegentreten und es zuweilen auch erreichen, daß sie in sich gehen und ablassen von ungerechtem Reden und Handeln.... Denn die Liebe ist Kraft und bleibt nicht ohne Wirkung, wo sie keinen Widerstand findet.... Darum sollet ihr euren Mitmenschen ein Liebeleben vorleben, das oft erfolgreicher ist als Worte, die nicht bewiesen werden durch die Tat.... Verbleibet in der Liebe, und denket daran, daß ihr dann in Dem verbleibet, Der Selbst die Liebe ist.... und daß Seine Gegenwart euch ein sicherer Schutz ist gegen alle Angriffe des Feindes eurer Seelen....

The spirit of love protects against temptations and God's adversary....

Always remain in the spirit of love.... Only then will you be protected from the enemy's onslaughts, for he takes flight from love, and a person with a heart full of love will not be approached by him. However, as soon as merely a tiny spark of unkindness makes itself felt in the human heart he can slip in and will try every means to make more space for himself. He will entice him into becoming impatient, into becoming self-righteous and proud in order to stifle the love in him, in order to then have free reign and to make the human being's will compliant to him. He will never succeed where love is present, for this offers him no target, it defends itself and has the strength to repel him.... Yet time and again the human being encounters situations in which he should prove himself because he can only ascend by fighting or helping.... And thus he will have to overcome opposition, he will have to bend down to the helpless person and help him get up, thus he will have to practise helpful neighbourly love.... If he does, his battles will become less, because then the love in him will give him strength to prove himself as his resistance grows. Yet the human being must take care not to let the fire of love die down.... if he does not want to hand himself over to the tempter who is instantly prepared to help by extinguishing the fire of love entirely.... He is full of cunning and trickery and a master at setting traps into which you gullibly fall if the light of love in your hearts does not burn so brightly that you recognise him no matter how cleverly he disguises himself.... Hence, the call can only ever go out to you: Remain in the spirit of love.... for then you will be united with God and need not fear the enemy. And you can also successfully face every temptation with love.... regardless of its nature.... If people want to humiliate you, if they want to provoke you into becoming impatient, if they try to make you envious.... the tempter is always behind it and you will defeat him and chase him away if you remain in love.... Then all this will have no effect on you, you will only regard your fellow human beings as ailing souls who allow themselves to be used by the opponent for such temptations, and you will approach them with love and occasionally also cause them to reflect on it and stop their unfair words and actions.... For love is strength and will not remain ineffective where it is not resisted.... For this reason you should exemplify a life of love to your fellow human beings, which is frequently more successful than words, which are not proven through an action.... Remain in love and remember that you thereby remain in the One Who is Love Himself.... and that His presence is an assured protection against all onslaughts by the enemy of your souls....
