Einigung der Seele mit dem Geist....

Es ist ein überaus bedeutsamer Vorgang, wenn die Seele des Menschen sich mit dem Geist in ihr vereinigt, denn dann ist gewissermaßen die Wendung eingetreten; das materielle Dasein ist überwunden, wenngleich der Mensch noch auf Erden weilt, und die geistige Welt ist vorherrschend für den letzten Teil seines Erdenwandels. Es kann nun die Seele jede Äußerung des Geistes entgegennehmen, sie ist fähig, ihn zu verstehen, und sie nützet ihre Fähigkeit in ausgiebigster Weise.... Sie läßt sich belehren und tritt somit in den Zustand des Wissens ein. Der Geist im Menschen ist unentwegt darauf bedacht, der Seele reichste Kenntnis zu vermitteln auf Gebieten, die der Seele sonst verschlossen sind und die sie nur mit Hilfe des Geistes betreten kann. Jede materielle Fessel aber ist ein Hindernis, um zu diesem Wissen zu gelangen, folglich muß die Seele erst die Materie überwunden haben, denn die Einigung der Seele mit dem Geist ist ein rein geistiger Vorgang, der keine irdische Bindung verträgt. Die Materie übt auf die Seele eine Wirkung aus, daß sie unfähig ist, die Stimme des Geistes in sich zu vernehmen. Die Seele muß völlig gelöst sein von jener und sich gänzlich dem Geist in sich überlassen, sie muß völlig widerstandslos sich seiner Kraft hingeben, die als Kraft aus Gott nun an ihr wirksam wird. Und also wird die Seele ins Erkennen geleitet, göttliche Weisheit wird ihr vermittelt, weil der Geistesfunke in ihr Anteil des göttlichen Geistes ist, dessen Gaben von höchstem Wert sind und die darum der Seele zur Vollkommenheit verhelfen müssen. Es wird nun die Seele nach göttlichem Plan ausgebildet, sie wird in ein Wissen eingeführt, das für sie geistigen Fortschritt bedeutet.... Denn je mehr die Seele in der Erkenntnis steht, desto freier wird sie und desto fähiger, dieses Wissen zu verwerten. Und also betätigt sie sich nun in Liebe, indem sie dieses Wissen weitergibt an ihre Mitmenschen. Ein Wissen, das der Mensch vom Mitmenschen entgegennimmt, muß erst geprüft werden auf seine Wahrhaftigkeit, ein Wissen dagegen, das der Mensch aus sich selbst schöpft, das der Geist in ihm seiner Seele vermittelt hat, trägt die unbedingte Wahrheit in sich, und dies empfindet die Seele und vertritt daher ein solches Wissen voller Überzeugung. Und es wird dieses Wissen auch nicht ohne Eindruck bleiben auf den Mitmenschen, weil es voller Überzeugung dargeboten und jedem voll verständlich wird, weil es die Wahrheit in sich trägt und diese auch den Mitmenschen gefangennimmt, sowie er ernstlich nach Wahrheit verlangt. Und darum ist die Einigung der Seele mit ihrem Geist so bedeutungsvoll, weil sie nicht nur dem einen Menschen zur Wahrheit und also zur Reife verhilft, sondern auf weite Kreise segenbringend wirkt, weil die Wahrheit sich Bahn bricht und auch erkannt wird als solche von den Menschen, die wieder nach ihr streben, jedoch die Einigung ihrer Seele mit dem Geist noch nicht selbst hergestellt haben. Ihnen wird aber diese Einigung nicht schwer sein, sowie sie den ernsten Willen dazu haben, und dieser Wille wieder wird angeregt durch wahrheitsgemäße Belehrungen eines Menschen, dessen Geist erweckt ist....

Unification of the soul with the spirit....

It is an extremely significant process when the human being's soul unites with the spirit within it, for then the turning point has, so to speak, occurred; the material existence has been overcome even though the human being still dwells on earth, and the spiritual world is predominant for the last part of his earthly change. The soul can now accept every manifestation of the spirit, it is able to understand it, and it uses its ability in the most extensive way.... It allows itself to be taught and thus enters the state of knowledge. The spirit in the human being is constantly anxious to impart the richest knowledge to the soul in areas which are otherwise closed to the soul and which it can only enter with the help of the spirit. However, every material bondage is an obstacle in order to attain this knowledge, consequently the soul must first have overcome matter, for the soul's unification with the spirit is a purely spiritual process which does not tolerate any earthly bondage. Matter has such an effect on the soul that it is incapable of hearing the voice of the spirit within itself. The soul has to be completely detached from matter and completely abandon itself to the spirit within itself, it has to surrender itself completely without resistance to its strength, which now becomes effective in it as strength from God. And thus the soul is guided into knowledge, divine wisdom is imparted to it because the spiritual spark in it is part of the divine spirit, whose gifts are of highest value and which therefore must help the soul to perfection. The soul will now be educated according to divine plan, it will be introduced to knowledge which signifies spiritual progress for it..... For the more the soul stands in knowledge the freer it becomes and the more able it is to utilize this knowledge. And thus it now engages in love by passing this knowledge on to its fellow human beings. Knowledge which the human being receives from his fellow human being first has to be tested for its truthfulness, knowledge, however, which the human being draws from himself, which the spirit in him has imparted to his soul, carries the unconditional truth within itself, and the soul feels this and therefore represents such knowledge full of conviction. And this knowledge will also not remain without impression on fellow human beings, because it is presented full of conviction and fully comprehensible to everyone, because it carries truth within itself and this also captivates the fellow human being as soon as he seriously desires truth. And this is why the unification of the soul with its spirit is so significant, because it not only helps one person to the truth and thus to maturity but has a beneficial effect on wide circles, because the truth breaks through and is also recognized as such by people who strive for it again but have not yet established the unification of their soul with the spirit themselves. However, this unification will not be difficult for them as soon as they have the serious will to do so, and this will is stimulated again by truthful instructions from a person whose spirit is awakened....
