Jesus Christus überwand den Tod.... Gebundene Wesen....

Jesus Christus hat den Tod überwunden, d.h., Er hat die Macht des Bösen gebrochen.... Dessen Einfluß auf den Willen des Menschen war so stark, daß dieser sich nicht frei machen konnte und das Unterliegen unter jene Macht für seine Seele den Tod bedeutete, denn die Seelen, die sich völlig unter ihn beugen mußten, waren Gott so fern, daß sie gänzlich außer dem Bereich der göttlichen Liebesausstrahlung standen und somit jegliche Kraft entbehren mußten, was den Zustand völliger Untätigkeit, also Leblosigkeit zur Folge hatte. Der Zustand des Todes ist ein Zustand der Qual, denn Tod bedeutet nicht Ausgelöschtsein. Es ist das Wesen noch immer der bösen Gewalt unterworfen und muß ständig deren Willen tun, indem es alles Wesenhafte bedrängt, das sich noch dem Licht zuwenden will. Es ist nur fähig, Böses auszuüben, jedoch jeder guten Regung und Handlung unfähig, denn die Kraft zum bösen Handeln geht ihm von der Macht der Finsternis zu, die Kraft aus Gott aber mangelt ihm völlig, so daß die Seele nichts ausführen könnte, selbst wenn ihr Wille sich dem Guten zuwenden möchte.... In diesem Zustand war vor der Niederkunft Christi die gesamte Menschheit. Die Macht des Gegners von Gott war so groß, daß sie deren Willen unter sich zwang, daß selbst die Menschen, die edel und gut sein wollten, ihren Willen nicht zur Ausführung bringen konnten, weil die Mächte der Finsternis sie ständig bedrängten und an der Ausführung des Guten hinderten, wo es nur möglich war. Es war ein Ringen von Licht und Finsternis, in dem zumeist die Finsternis siegte und immer mehr Gewalt bekam über die Geschöpfe, deren Willen gebunden war von der Macht dessen, der gegen Gott wütete. Und Tod und Finsternis waren das Los jener, sowie sie von der Welt abschieden.... Und es nahm Jesus Christus den Kampf auf gegen die Macht der Finsternis. Er setzte dem Gegner Gottes Widerstand entgegen, Er setzte ihm einen Willen entgegen, der stärker war, den der Widersacher nicht unterjochen konnte, und Er machte Sich frei von dessen Gewalt schon im Erdenleben.... Denn die Kraft Gottes war mit Ihm, die Ihm zuströmen konnte, weil Sein Erdenleben ein Wandel in Liebe war, Er also im Bereich der Liebesausstrahlung aus Gott Sich befand und die Kraft Gottes nun ungemessen empfangen konnte. Und also wies Er den Menschen den Weg, den auch sie gehen mußten, um sich aus der Gewalt des Feindes ihrer Seelen zu befreien.... Er hatte den Tod, d.h. den Zustand der Gebundenheit des Willens, überwunden und somit auch den, der den Willen gebunden hatte.... Er hatte den Tod überwunden, der unausbleibliche Folge des Unterliegens unter den Willen des Widersachers war.... den Zustand der Kraftlosigkeit und daher Untätigkeit, der unsagbar qualvoll ist für das Wesen.... Um alle Seine Geschöpfe zu erlösen aus diesem unfreien Zustand, vollbrachte Er das Erlösungswerk, indem Er Seinen Willen dem Willen des Widersachers entgegensetzte, indem Er bereit war, Sein Leibesleben hinzugeben, um nicht die finstere Macht den Sieg davontragen zu lassen. Er unterstellte Seinen Willen restlos dem Willen Gottes und nahm dem Gegner Gottes dadurch jede Macht.... Er überwand ihn und damit den Tod der Seelen....

Jesus Christ overcame death.... bound beings....

Jesus Christ overcame death, that is, He broke the power of evil.... Its influence on the human being's will was so strong that he could not free himself and succumbing to this power meant death for his soul, for the souls who had to completely submit to it were so far removed from God that they were completely outside the sphere of the divine emanation of love and thus had to do without all strength, which resulted in a state of complete inactivity, i.e. lifelessness. The state of death is a state of agony, for death does not mean extinction. The being is still subject to evil power and must constantly do its will by oppressing all beings that still want to turn towards the light. It is only able to carry out evil but incapable of any good impulse and action, for it receives the strength to act evil from the power of darkness, but it completely lacks the strength from God, so that the soul would be unable to accomplish anything even if its will wanted to turn towards good.... Before Christ's descent, the whole of humanity was in this state. The power of God's adversary was so great that it forced their will under itself, so that even those people who wanted to be noble and good could not carry out their will because the powers of darkness constantly harassed them and prevented them from doing good wherever possible. It was a struggle between light and darkness, in which the darkness usually prevailed and gained more and more power over the creatures whose will was bound by the power of the one who raged against God. And death and darkness were the fate of those who departed from the world.... And Jesus Christ took up the fight against the power of darkness. He resisted the adversary of God, He opposed him with a will that was stronger, which the adversary could not subjugate, and He freed Himself from its power already in earthly life.... For God's strength was with Him, which was able to flow towards Him because His earthly life was a life of love, thus He was in the realm of God's emanation of love and was now able to receive God's strength unmeasured. And thus He showed people the path they also had to take in order to free themselves from the power of the enemy of their souls.... He had overcome death, i.e. the state of being bound by the will, and thus also the one who had bound the will.... He had overcome death, which was the inevitable consequence of succumbing to the will of the adversary.... the state of powerlessness and therefore inactivity, which is unspeakably agonizing for the being.... In order to redeem all His creatures from this unfree state, He accomplished the work of redemption by opposing His will to the will of the adversary, by being willing to give up His physical life in order not to allow the dark power to gain the victory. He completely subordinated His will to God's will and thereby deprived God's adversary of all power.... He overcame him and thus the death of souls....
