Rückerinnerung....

Die Erinnerung an alle Vorstadien des Entwicklungsganges würde den Menschen zwangsweise zu rechtem Lebenswandel veranlassen und somit ein Vollkommen-Werden ausschalten, denn alles Vollkommene ist gut aus freiem Antrieb, während ein gezwungenes Wesen immer etwas Unvollkommenes ist, da es ja eigentlich anders ist, d.h. wider seinen Willen zu dem wurde, was es freiwillig niemals erstrebt hat. Jedes Vorwissen aber scheidet den freien Willen aus, denn es muß dann das Wesen das anstreben, was es vor einer Wiederholung des Leidenszustandes in der gebannten Form bewahrt. Es bleibt ihm dann nicht mehr die freie Entscheidung, er kann nicht mehr wählen zwischen Gut und Böse, er muß das Gute tun, ohne gut zu sein.... Er muß dann Liebe geben, ohne solche zu empfinden; er wird alles tun, um nur den endlos langen Weg vor der Verkörperung als Mensch nicht mehr zurücklegen zu brauchen. Also nahm Gott den Menschen die Rückerinnerung und stellte sie völlig unwissend darüber ins Leben. So Er ihnen nun darüber Aufschluß gibt, geschieht dies aus übergroßer Liebe, jedoch nehmen Kenntnis davon nur jene Menschen, die schon aus eigenem Antrieb das Gute anstreben, denn für diese ist das Wissen darum ohne Gefahr. Doch gerade jene Aufklärung wird überall dort abgelehnt werden als unglaubwürdig, wo der Mensch sich noch nicht entschieden hat. Es wird gerade die Lehre von der Wanderung der Seele in ihren einzelnen Substanzen durch jegliches Schöpfungswerk als völlig unannehmbar abgewiesen werden. Sie wird nicht geglaubt und daher auch für die Menschen keine Gefährdung des freien Willens bedeuten, denn sie ändern nicht im geringsten ihren Lebenswandel auf Grund solcher Aufklärungen, weil sie diese glattweg verneinen. Andererseits aber spornt diese Lehre die Menschen an, deren Wille schon zu Gott gewandt ist, denn ihnen ist sie nur die aufschlußreiche Begründung aller Schöpfungen, die Gottes große Liebe, Weisheit und Allmacht erkennen läßt und also nur dazu beiträgt, den Glauben zu stärken und Gott Liebe und Ehrfurcht entgegenzubringen. Und darum muß auch diese Lehre mit großer Vorsicht weitergegeben werden und sie soll möglichst jenen verborgen (vorenthalten?) bleiben, die sich schwer zu Gott bekennen wollen. Denn so diesen auf Grund anderer nicht zu widerlegenden Lehren die Wahrheit der göttlichen Offenbarungen glaubhaft gemacht würde, besteht die Gefahr, daß sie nur um der Folgen willen ihr Leben ändern, daß sie also gewissermaßen nur eine Gefahr fliehen, weil sie ihnen Schaden einträgt, nicht aber aus innerstem Antrieb das Böse meiden und das Gute tun. Es soll der Mensch gut sein um des Guten willen, er soll sich veredeln aus Liebe zu Gott, weil er aus tiefstem Herzen nach Ihm verlangt.... Ist dies der Grund seiner Höherentwicklung, dann wird ihm aber gerade diese Lehre erst das Licht bringen, denn es wird ihm nun vieles erst verständlich werden, was ihm unerklärlich war bisher, ohne jedoch seinen freien Willen zu hemmen....

Recollection....

The recollection of all previous stages of the course of development would forcibly induce the human being to live the right way of life, and thus exclude becoming perfect, for everything that is perfect is good of its own free will, whereas a forced being is always something imperfect since it is actually different, that is, it became what it never voluntarily aspired to become against its will. Every foreknowledge, however, excludes free will, for the being must then strive for that which protects it from a repetition of the state of suffering in the banished form. It then no longer has a free decision, it can no longer choose between good and evil, it has to do good without being good.... He must then give love without feeling it; he will do everything in order to avoid having to travel the endlessly long path before embodiment as a human being. Thus God took away people's recollection and placed them in life completely ignorant of it. If He now gives them information about it, this happens out of immense love, however, only those people take note of it who already strive for the good of their own accord, because for them the knowledge about it is without danger. Yet precisely this enlightenment will be rejected as untrustworthy wherever the human being has not yet made up his mind. It is precisely the doctrine of the soul's migration in its individual substances through every work of creation that will be rejected as completely unacceptable. It will not be believed, and will therefore not pose a threat to people's free will, for they will not change their way of life in the slightest on the basis of such explanations because they outright deny them.

On the other hand, however, this teaching inspires people whose will is already turned towards God, for to them it is only the revealing reason for all creations, which reveals God's great love, wisdom and omnipotence, and thus only helps to strengthen faith, and to show love and reverence for God. And that is why this teaching must also be passed on with great caution and, if possible, it should remain hidden (withheld?) from those who find it difficult to confess God. For if the truth of divine revelations is made credible to them on the basis of other teachings that cannot be refuted, there is a danger that they will only change their lives for the sake of the consequences, that they will, so to speak, only flee a danger because it brings them harm, but not avoid evil and do good out of their innermost drive. Man should be good for the sake of good, he should ennoble himself out of love for God because he longs for Him from the bottom of his heart.... If this is the reason for his higher development, then it is precisely this teaching which will bring him light, for only now will many things become understandable to him which were previously inexplicable to him without, however, inhibiting his free will....
