Met het oog op de geestelijke nood daalt de Heer Zelf weer naar de aarde af om de mensheid te helpen. Dit is een bewijs van Zijn eindeloze liefde en barmhartigheid. Hij laat de mensen niet aan hun lot over, maar Hij probeert hen te redden uit de macht van de vijand. Het geloof daarin is de eerste voorwaarde om het van boven ontvangen woord als waarheid te kunnen accepteren. Bij degene, die het aan het geloof ontbreekt, kan ook geen ander bewijs van de waarheid gebracht worden.

Het is ook een teken van de tijd, dat degenen die Hem willen dienen, elkaar bestrijden en dat deze geloven Hem te dienen, als ze dit woord afwijzen en veroordelen. De liefde van God wordt onderwezen, maar waar deze zich uit, wordt het niet herkent. De woorden van de heilige schrift worden alleen maar met het verstand gelezen, maar niet met het hart en haar interpretatie wijkt daarom vaak geheel van de eigenlijke betekenis af.

En als God Zich over de mensheid erbarmt en haar geest naar het inzicht wil leiden, stuit Hij op harde tegenstand en de uitstroom van Zijn liefde wordt geminacht en, alsof het uit het rijk van de demonen stamt, afgewezen. En zo kan God Zich telkens weer openbaren, de wil van de mens verzet zich tegen Zijn liefde. De wil van de mens doet de werkzaamheid van het goddelijke woord teniet, want de liefde van God kan de mens niet opgedrongen worden. Ze moet in vrije wil als zodanig herkend worden. En daarom zal ook de kracht van het goddelijke woord in hen niet tot uitdrukking kunnen komen, want zijzelf verzetten zich tegen deze genezende kracht en laten zich niet door de goddelijke liefde grijpen.

En God oefent niet de minste dwang uit op de vrije wil van de mens. Deze mens is helemaal vrij in wat hij doet, denkt en spreekt. Toch zal degene, die zich overgevend aan Hem toevertrouwt en Hem om genade en kracht smeekt om het juiste te doen om de waarheid te herkennen, de stem van God herkennen. De wil om in de waarheid te staan en de wil om God te dienen, stelt de mens ook in staat om zonder vooroordeel te kunnen onderzoeken.

Maar deze wil moet aanwezig zijn, omdat anders een onderzoek met het juiste resultaat niet mogelijk is. Wat God aan de mens geeft, zal ook als waarheid herkend kunnen worden, zodra de mens God om een openbaring in de geest smeekt. Maar enkel hersenwerk is niet voldoende voor het onderzoeken van dat, wat alleen maar met de geest begrepen kan worden. Wat de geest uit God aan de geest in de mens geeft. Wie daarom onderzoekt zonder zich innig met God verbonden te hebben, zal nauwelijks in staat zijn om de waarheid van de leugen te onderscheiden en zijn beoordeling zal daarom niet waardevol zijn.

In view of the spiritual hardship, the lord Himself descends to earth again to help humanity. This is proof of His infinite love and mercy, He does not abandon people to their fate but seeks to save them from the power of the enemy. Faith in this is the first condition for recognizing the word received from above as truth. Those who lack this faith cannot be given any other proof of the truth. It is also a sign of the times that those who want to serve Him fight against Him and that they believe they are serving Him when they reject and condemn this word. The love of God is taught, but where it expresses itself is not recognized.... The words of holy scripture are only read with the mind, but not with the heart, and their interpretation is therefore often completely at variance with the actual meaning. And when God takes pity on humanity and wants to guide its spirit towards realization, He encounters fierce resistance and the outpouring of His love is disregarded and rejected as coming from the realm of demons. And thus God can reveal Himself time and again, the human being's will stands in opposition to His love.... the human being's will destroys the effectiveness of the divine word, for God's love cannot be forced upon people, it has to be recognized as such in free will. And therefore the power of the divine word cannot be expressed in them either, for they themselves resist this effect of salvation and do not allow themselves to be grasped by divine love. And God does not exert the slightest compulsion on the human being's free will.... What he does, thinks and speaks is entirely up to him; yet he will inevitably recognize the voice of God if he devotedly entrusts himself to Him and asks Him for strength and grace to do what is right and to recognize the truth. The will to stand in the truth and the will to serve God also enables a person to examine without prejudice. But this will must be present, otherwise a test with the right result is impossible. What God gives to people can also be recognized as truth as soon as the person asks God for enlightenment of spirit. However, only mental understanding is not enough to test what can only be grasped with the spirit, what the spirit from God imparts to the spirit in the human being.... Anyone who therefore examines without having intimately connected with God will hardly be able to distinguish truth from lies and his judgement will therefore not be authoritative....
