Onbenut aards leven – Bewuste arbeid - Toestand in het hiernamaals
Het is van een onvergelijkelijk voordeel voor de ziel, wanneer ze zich bewust is van haar opdracht op aarde en ze er nu, al naar vermogen, naar streeft om deze opdracht te vervullen.
Wanneer de mens zich voorstelt, dat de onbenutte tijd op aarde het bitterste zelfverwijt veroorzaakt bij de beëindiging van het leven op aarde, dan zal dit een aansporing voor hem moeten zijn om ijverig aan zichzelf te werken, want de mens schept toch voor zichzelf zijn toestand in het hiernamaals. Hij zal altijd de consequenties van zijn levenswandel moeten dragen. En hij kan in dezelfde mate een buitengewoon mooi leven in het hiernamaals voor zichzelf scheppen, zoals anderzijds een kommervol, onnoemelijk troosteloze toestand zijn lot kan zijn. En dit eveneens door eigen schuld.
En de Vader in de hemel verlangt van Zijn mensenkinderen alleen maar, dat ze zich in de liefde oefenen. Alle mensen moeten zich in de liefde voor elkaar vinden en alleen voor elkaar leven, opdat ze in deze liefde ook God boven alles liefhebben en Hem eer en lof zingen tot in alle eeuwigheid. Want waar de liefde aanwezig is, daar zal de mens zich ook innig met God verbinden. En door die liefde zal ook de gang over de aarde gezegend zijn, want deze kinderen zijn de Vader in de hemel nabij, en de toestand van hun zielen is licht en helder.
En als nu bewust een veredeling van zichzelf nagestreefd wordt, als bewust de genade van God afgesmeekt wordt en ook bewust voortdurend de wil van God vervuld wordt, is de toestand van de ziel heel gemakkelijk tot rijpheid te brengen. Want de mens heeft zijn doel op aarde herkend en zal nu nooit nutteloos en onverantwoordelijk door dit bestaan op aarde gaan. Hij heeft de juiste weg, die naar de hoogte, naar het eeuwige vaderland leidt, gevonden.

It is of incomparable advantage for the soul if it is aware of its earthly task and now strives to the best of its ability to fulfil this task. If the human being imagines that the unused earthly time triggers the most bitter self-reproaches at the end of earthly life, this will have to be an incentive for it to work diligently on itself, for the human being creates his own state in the beyond. He will always have to bear the consequences for his way of life.... and can create an extremely beautiful life for himself in the beyond to the same extent as, on the other hand, an agonizing, unspeakably bleak state can be his fate, and this likewise through his own fault. And yet, the father in heaven only requires His earthly children to practice love.... All people should find love for each other and only live for each other, so that in this love they will also love God above all else and sing glory and praise to Him for all eternity.... For where love lives, there man will also connect intimately with God, and the earthly change will also be blessed through love, for these children are close to the father in heaven and their state of soul is light and clear. And if a person consciously strives to improve himself, if he consciously appeals for God's grace and consciously fulfils God's will constantly, the soul's state can easily be brought to maturity. For the human being has recognized his purpose on earth and will now never go through this earthly existence uselessly and irresponsibly. He has found the right path which leads to the height, to the eternal homeland....
