Bescherming tegen vergissing - Aanmaning tot gebed
Onvermoeibaar moet jij onze leringen vernemen. Zie, God geeft je overeenkomstig Zijn wil zo, als het bevorderlijk voor je is. Je kunt Zijn woord aan één stuk door vernemen. Zijn liefdevolle onderwijzingen worden je geboden, zolang als je wil juist is en je bereid bent, de Heer te dienen. Maar let er steeds op, dat jij voorts ook voor je geloof vecht, want je zult steeds gemakkelijker opnemen, hoe sterker je geloof is. Overweeg alles wat wij je geven in je hart, en je zult zien, dat je veel kracht ten deel valt wanneer je de leringen pas goed op je laat inwerken.
Het mag je soms toeschijnen, alsof jij je eigen gedachten in het geschrift inbrengt, maar wijs dit steeds van de hand. De bescherming jegens jou laat niet toe, dat je vergissingen maakt bij het schrijven. Dit moeten lessen zijn, voor velen toebereid, en alleen zuivere waarheid moet door jou ontstaan. Pas daarom op voor gedachten, die alleen maar je rust verstoren en ook storend werken op hetgeen wij overbrengen. Er is slechts één ding nodig: dat jij alles in diep geloof in ontvangst neemt. Dat jij geheel en al vertrouwt op je Heiland, die je niet wil laten dwalen, en dat je dankbaar uit Zijn hand alles aanneemt wat je gegeven wordt.
Wees nu bereid en luister: Wederom is uit de Heer een kracht voortgekomen, waarop wij allen grootse hoop vestigen. Heeft je hart eerst eenmaal deelgenomen aan dit grote genadewerk van de hemelse Vader, dan zal het nimmer loslaten. De geneugten van de wereld kunnen zo’n kind niet meer bekoren, want te leven in Gods genade, dagelijks op aarde te wandelen in Zijn licht is onvergelijkelijk meer waardevol. Weldra ontstaat het verlangen, steeds meer binnen te dringen in de geestelijke wereld. En de aardse wereld met haar verleidingen geeft het kind Gods niets meer, wat deze zegeningen evenaart.
En toch vermaant de Vader steeds weer, niet na te laten in gebed. Want alleen door voortdurend gebed wordt steeds weer genade en kracht verworven, en alleen hierdoor kan de mens ten uitvoer brengen en zijn doel bereiken. Wees waakzaam en bid! Opdat jullie niet bezwijken voor de verleider, die onophoudelijk probeert, de mens zich te laten afkeren van het goddelijk streven. En door het gebed zullen jullie steeds al het kwaad om jullie heen afweren en alleen de genade van de Heer deelachtig worden. Blijf daarom in gebed en roep met elke gedachte tot de Vader om hulp, opdat Hij jullie streven wil zegenen en jullie kracht wil geven om te geloven.

Protection from error.... Admonition to pray....
You shall hear our teachings continually. Behold, God will give to you according to your will as it is good for you. You will always be able to hear His Word.... His loving instructions will be offered to you as long as your will is good and you want to serve the Lord, but always make sure that you will continue to fight for your faith, for it will become increasingly easier for you to receive the more steadfastly you believe. Ponder everything we give to you in your heart and you will notice that much strength will flow to you if you allow the teachings to take proper effect in you.... Sometimes it might well seem to you as if you write down your own thoughts, yet always reject such ideas.... the protection around you does not permit that mistakes will enter your writing.... These teachings are intended for many people, and only pure truth shall arise through you.... therefore beware of such thoughts which only interfere with your composure and also actively impede our transmissions. Only one thing is essential, that you accept everything with profound faith.... that you utterly trust in your Saviour, Who will not let you live in error, and that you gratefully receive from His hand whatever He gives to you. Now be ready and listen: Once again a worker has arisen for the Lord in whom all of us pin great hopes. Once your heart has participated in this great act of mercy by our heavenly Father it will never want to let go of it again.... The pleasures of the world will no longer be able to beguile such a child, for it will live in God’s grace, to live each day in His love is incomparably more valuable. The desire will soon arise to penetrate the spiritual world more deeply, and the earthly world with its enticements can no longer offer the child of God anything that is comparable to these blessings. And yet time after time the Father cautions not to slow down in prayer, for only through constant prayer will the grace and strength be repeatedly gained again, and only in this way can the human being carry on and attain the goal. Watch and pray! So that you will not succumb to the tempter who relentlessly seeks to alienate the human being from divine striving. And through prayer you will always repel all evil surrounding you and only partake in the grace of the Lord. Therefore remain in prayer and call upon the Father for help with every thought, that He may bless your endeavour and give you strength to believe.
