영적인 결혼.

너희는 영으로 나와 결혼하라. 나는 너희에게 모든 것이 되기를 원한다. 즉 혼의 친구요 형제요 아버지요 신랑이 되기 원한다. 세상은 나에게 속해 있지 않다. 그러므로 나는 세상의 자녀들을 피해야만 할 것이고 그들의 욕망이 나를 동반자로 삼지 않는다. 그들이 비록 친구들에게 둘러싸여 있지만 그들은 세상에서 외롭다. 왜냐면 그들은 세상의 자녀들이고 나와 연결이 없기 때문이다. 그러나 나는 나에게 속한 사람들에게 모든 것이고, 어느 누구도 홀로 두지 않는다. 왜냐면 내가 나의 내 피조물과 가장 긴밀한 교제를 구하기 때문이다. 나는 아직 나로부터 멀리 떨어져 있는 존재를 얻으려고 시도한다. 그러므로 나는 모든 사람에게 그가 나를 보기 원하는 대로 보여준다.

나는 친구가 필요한 사람을 조언과 행동으로 돕는다. 내 안의 아버지를 보는 사람에게 나는 나의 아버지의 사랑을 준다. 나는 나를 형제로 여기는 모든 사람을 형제처럼 돌본다. 그러나 나에게 모든 사랑을 주기를 원하는 사람을 나도 나의 사랑으로 행복하게 해주기를 원한다. 그들은 이런 나의 사랑 외에는 다른 어떤 것도 영원히 더 이상 요구해서는 안 된다. (1950년 1월 8일) 나와의 영적인 결혼은 양측 간의 사랑을 전제로 한다. 나의 사랑은 영원히 변하지 않고, 절대로 식거나 줄어들지 않을 것이다. 나의 사랑의 불길로 나의 사랑으로부터 나온 모든 것을 끌어들인다. 나의 사랑은 한때 자신이 소유했던 어떤 것도 포기하기를 원하지 않는다. 그러므로 모든 존재가 나를 사랑을 받는 것을 느낄 수 있다.

그러나 응답하는 사랑이 비로소 내 사랑을 느낄 수 있게 해주고, 나는 이런 응답하는 사랑을 쉬지 않고 구한다. 내 피조물의 사랑이, 특히 사람의 사랑이 가장 약한 정도의 내 사랑을 견딜 수 있는 정도에 도달하면, 나와의 영적인 결혼이 이뤄진다. 이런 연합은 사람의 혼에게 진실로 가장 큰 행복을 의미한다. 왜냐면 나의 사랑의 힘이 이제 쉬지 않고 흘러갈 수 있고, 이를 통해 혼이 행복하게 되기 때문이다.

이런 연합이 영의 나라에서 말할 수 없게 숭고하게 만들고 축복되게 한다. 이 땅에서 이런 연합이 마찬가지로 일어날 수 있다. 그러나 인간은 인간으로써 이런 연합을 단지 내면의 평안으로 느끼고, 아버지의 심장에 의해 보호받는 것으로 느낀다. 왜냐면 나를 향한 그의 사랑을 통해 나의 사랑과 지혜와 전능함을 믿는 그의 믿음이 생명력이 있게 되고, 그가 이런 의식을 하는 가운데 더 이상 세상의 걱정을 알지 못하기 때문이다.

그가 아직 이 땅의 의무를 완수해야만 하고 따라서 삶의 활동을 하는 동안에는, 그가 이 땅에서 증가된 축복을 견딜 수 없게 되었을 것이다. 그러나 영의 나라에서는 나와 내 피조물 사이의 모든 장벽이 사라진다. 그러면 상상할 수 없는 빛의 비추임이 함께 하는 축복된 연합이 이뤄지고, 존재가 원래의 상태로 돌아 가고, 존재는 자신의 의지로 자유롭게 창조하고 조성할 수 있게 된다. 이런 상태가 모든 피조물들의 목표이고, 내가 피조물들이 목표에 도달하는 일을 돕기 원한다.

단지 영으로 진리로 나와의 긴밀한 연결을 통해 너희는 이 목표를 달성할 수 있다. 이런 역사는 너희가 단지 너희 심장으로 추구해야만 하는 영적인 연합이다. 이런 연합의 역사를 위해 외적인 형식이나 관습이 필요하지 않다. 왜냐면 나와 연합하는 역사는 단지 너희 안의 영의 불씨가 영원한 아버지의 영과의 연합으로 일어나고, 이런 연합이 어느 곳이든 어느 때이든지 단지 심장이 나를 향한 진정한 갈망으로 불타오르는 심장 안에서 일어날 수 있기 때문이다. 나도 또한 그런 심장 안에 거할 것이고, 이런 심장과 결혼할 것이다.

Spiritual marriage....

Be united in spirit with Me, Who wants to be everything to you, friend, brother, father and bridegroom of the soul. The world has no part in Me, and so I will have to avoid the children of the world, and their lust does not have Me as a companion. They stand lonely in the world, although they are surrounded by friends, for these are again children of the world and without connection with Me. But I am everything for My own and leave no-one alone. For I seek closest communion with My creatures, and what is still far from Me I seek to win. And thus I am to everyone what he wants to see in Me. Anyone who needs a friend I will support with advice and action, anyone who sees the father in Me I will also give him My fatherly love, My concern for all those who regard Me as a brother is brotherly; but those who give Me all their love I also want to make happy with My love, and they shall eternally desire nothing more than this love of Mine....

(8.1.1950) The spiritual marriage with Me presupposes a love from both sides.... My love is eternally unchanging, it will never diminish or become less, it draws to itself with its ardour everything that had its origin in it. My love does not want to give up anything it once possessed, and therefore every being could feel loved by Me. Yet only reciprocated love makes the being capable of feeling My love, and I constantly court this reciprocated love. Only when the love of My living creations, and thus especially of the human being, has reached a degree which can bear the weakest degree of My love does the union, the spiritual marriage with Me, take place, which is truly the highest happiness for the human being's soul, because now My strength of love can continuously overflow and the soul thereby becomes blissfully happy. In the spiritual kingdom such a union is indescribably sublime and blissful; on earth the union can also take place, yet the human being as such only feels peace within himself and the feeling of security at the father's heart, because through his love for Me his faith in My love, wisdom and omnipotence is also alive and in this awareness he no longer knows earthly worries. An increased degree of bliss would be unbearable for him on earth as long as he still has to fulfil earthly duties and thus is active in life. In the spiritual kingdom, however, every barrier between Me and My living creations falls. Then a blissful union takes place, accompanied by inconceivable light radiation, which returns the being to its original state where it was able to freely create and shape according to its will. And this state is every creature's aim, which I want to help it achieve. You can only reach this aim through intimate union with Me in spirit and in truth, and this is the spiritual communion which you should only strive for in your heart, for which you don't need external signs and customs, because this act of union with Me only requires the unification of the spiritual spark in you with the father-spirit of eternity and this unification can only take place in the heart, at any place and at any time.... wherever the heart quite lovingly longs for Me, there I will also be and marry Myself to that heart....
