La fede “convinta”

Nessun uomo viene costretto alla fede, ma ognuno la deve conquistare da sé stesso. Anche se agli uomini vengono sottoposti degli insegnamenti spirituali, non può essere preteso da lui per costrizione di credere in questi, perché una tale fede significherebbe solo l’assenza di contraddizione, quindi l’uomo non si pronuncia apertamente contro, ma interiormente non deve necessariamente esserne convinto. Tali uoimini quindi non sono da chiamare “credenti”, finché non hanno ancora conquistata la convinzione interiore della Verità di ciò che viene preteso da loro di credere. Una tale fede è senza valore dinanzi a Dio. Perché non vi si pone affermativamente né l’intelletto né il cuore. Ma l’intelletto da solo non può procurare questa convinzione, perché non può fornire dimostrazioni per la Verità degli insegnamenti spirituali. Ma il cuore può giungere alla convinzione, però solo attraverso l’agire d’amore. Ed all’amore l’uomo non può nuovamente essere costretto, perché l‘amore è totalmente libero. L’amore è l’unico mezzo per giungere ad una fede viva, ad una convinzione interiore senza dimostrazioni. Questa è una irremovibile Verità che non può essere confutata, ma non verrà mai riconosciuta da uomini disamorevoli. Perché si conferma appunto solo attraverso l’amore. E così è anche comprensibile, perché viene sempre di nuovo litigato appunto su insegnamenti di fede, perché l’umanità è di opinione del tutto diversa sul campo spirituale e perché l’accordo è da registrare solamente là, dove gli uomini conducono una vita nell’amore, perché questi ultimi rappresentano però anche colmi di convinzione le loro opinioni, perché hanno conquistata la giusta fede viva attraverso l’amore. E così agli uomini potrebbe essere bensì guidasto il patrimonio spirituale, ma non potrà diventare a loro stesso convinzione prima che in loro non venga risvegliato lo spirito in loro attraverso una vita nell’amore. E perciò la prima e più urgente cosa è, se gli uomini devono essere aiutati di giungere alla fede, predicare loro l’amore e stimolarli all’agire d’amore. Ma finché questi sforzi sono senza successo, nemmeno gli uomini potranno credere convinti in tutto ciò che ha la sua origine in Dio e che deve di nuovo ricondurre a Dio. Quindi, può essere del tutto semplicemente: Senza amore nessuno giunge a Dio. E’ necessaria solo una cosa per gli uomini: accendere inn sé l’amore. Ma tutte le indicazioni su ciò non vengono ascoltate, solo pochi le prendono sul serio e cercano di formarsi nell’amore, solo pochi sottopongono il loro essere ed il loro modo d’agire ad una seria critica e cercano di cambiare. E perciò anche solo pochi uomini arrivano alla meta. Poter credere pienamente e seriamente rende beasti, ma con ciò non è da intendere la fede cieca, alla quale non è preceduta nessuna occupazione con gli insegnamenti di fede. La fede cieca può essere rappresentata anche da un uomo che ha poco amore, la fede che dovrebbe essere piuttosto chi9amato “fanatismo” che “fede”. L’amore rimane sempre il fondamento della fede ed una fede senza l’amore crolla, appena si deve affermare. Ma verrà sempre pretesa l’afermazione dagli uomini ed allora solo pochi resisteranno, solo in pochi uomini esisterà quella convinzione, che può donare solo una vita nell’amore e che può quindi essere descritta come Forza di fede che resiste nelle più gravi oppressioni nell’ultimo tempo prima della fine. Solo allora si dimostrerà chi crede veramente, ma fallirà colui che crede ciecamente. A lui manca la Forza che gli può procurare solo l’amore- Gli manca la convinzione interiore e perciò rinuncerà anche tranquillamente alla fede, perché in realtà non la possedeva.

'Convinced' faith....

No human being is forced to believe but everyone has to acquire it himself. Therefore, even if spiritual teachings are presented to the human being he cannot be compelled to believe in them, because such faith would only mean lack of contradiction, thus the human being would not openly express himself against them but he would still not need to be inwardly convinced of them. Such people therefore cannot be called 'believers' as long as they have not yet gained the inner conviction of the truth of what is demanded to be believed. And such faith is worthless before God.... For neither the intellect nor the heart affirmatively puts itself to it. However, the intellect alone cannot acquire this conviction because it cannot produce any evidence for the truth of the spiritual teachings. But the heart can attain conviction.... but only through the working of love. And the human being, in turn, cannot be forced into love because love is completely free. Love is the only means of attaining a living faith, an inner conviction without proof. This is an incontrovertible truth which cannot be refuted but will never be acknowledged by unloving people. For it is precisely only confirmed through love: And thus it is also understandable why precisely doctrines of faith are repeatedly disputed, why humanity has completely different opinions in the spiritual sphere and why unity can only be recorded where people live a life of love.... but why the latter also hold their views with full conviction, for they have gained the right, living faith through love. And thus spiritual knowledge could certainly be conveyed to people but it will not be able to become a conviction in them until the spirit in them is awakened through a life of love. And therefore it is the first and most urgent thing if people are to be helped to attain faith, to preach love to them and to stimulate them to be active in love. However, as long as these efforts are unsuccessful people will not be able to believe in everything else which has its origin in God and should lead to God again. So it can be said quite simply: Without love no one will reach God. Only one thing is necessary for man: to kindle love in himself. But all indications of this are ignored, only a few take it seriously and try to shape themselves into love, only a few subject their nature and their way of acting to serious criticism and try to change. And that is why only a few people reach the aim. To be able to believe wholeheartedly is blissful, but it is not to be understood as blind faith which has not been preceded by a serious examination of the doctrines of faith.... which can also be held by a person who has little love.... the faith which should rather be called 'fanaticism' than 'faith'. Love always remains the foundation of faith, and a faith without love collapses as soon as it is to prove itself.... But one day people will be called upon to prove themselves, and then only a few will persevere, only a few people will have this conviction which only a life of love can give and which is therefore called the strength of faith which stands firm in the most difficult tribulations in the last days before the end. Only then will it be proven who is truly faithful.... but the blind believer will fail. He lacks the strength which only love can bring him.... He lacks inner conviction and will therefore unhesitatingly surrender faith because he did not possess it in reality....
