L’urgenza del lavoro spirituale sulla Terra

All’attività terrena dev’essere preposto il lavoro spirituale. L’uomo si deve immaginare quanto questo sia urgentemente necessario, quanto è difficile che il Regno spirituale venga diffuso sulla Terra e che il vero scopo della vita terrena è la spiritualizzazione dell’anima. E dato che gli uomini stessi sono troppo deboli e senza volontà di eseguire questo lavoro su di sé, dev’essere loro concessa l’assistenza da parte di coloro che riconoscono il senso e lo scopo della vita terrena e che loro stessi hanno affrontato con successo il lavoro della spiritualizzazione della loro anima. Costoro devono aiutare anche gli altri sulla retta via, devono cercare di ingrandire il piccolo Regno spirituale sulla Terra, devono sempre soltanto tendere a guidare gli uomini più vicini a Dio, devono corteggiarli per il Suo Regno sulla Terra e per questo sfruttare ogni occasione. Ma ci sono solo pochi che vogliono essere attivi come operai nella Vigna del Signore. E perciò la loro attività è così oltremodo importante, che non dev’essere frantumata o trascurata attraverso una attività terrena ultrafervente, perché per quest’ultima si trovano molti uomini, ma non per l’attività spirituale che rimane incompresa per gli uomini finché loro stessi non tendono spiritualmente. Dio Stesso indica ai Suoi operai di agire per Lui, ed Egli Stesso promette loro la Sua costante Protezione. Egli li rende capaci per il loro lavoro, Egli assegna loro il campo di lavoro, i cuori e l’intelletto degli uomini che non sono di volontà del tutto distolta da Dio. Egli utilizza i Suoi operai pronti a servire come strumenti per poter parlare Lui Stesso attraverso loro agli uomini che Egli vuole salvare dalla miseria spirituale, dall’oppressione delle loro anime. Egli Si serve di un mediatore per celare Sé Stesso in lui, per non tagliare la libertà di fede e volontà degli uomini che danneggerebbe la Sua Parola pronunciata direttamente. E perciò Gli è benvenuto ogni servo nella Sua Vigna, perciò Egli benedice ognuno che si mette a disposizione per questo lavoro, che per amore per Dio e per il prossimo è attivo per la salvezza delle anime erranti, perché è arrivato l’ultimo tempo e prima della fine dev’essere utilizzata ogni ora.

Urgency of spiritual work on earth....

Spiritual work should come before earthly activity. The human being must imagine how extremely necessary it is, how difficult it is for the spiritual kingdom to be spread on earth and that the actual purpose of earthly life is the spiritualization of the soul. And since people are too weak and unwilling to undertake this work themselves, they must be helped by those who recognize the meaning and purpose of earthly life and have successfully tackled the work of spiritualizing their soul themselves. They must also help those on the right path, they must try to increase the small spiritual kingdom on earth, they must only ever strive to bring people closer to God, they must promote His kingdom on earth and use every opportunity to do so. But there are only a few who want to work as labourers in the vineyard of the lord. And therefore their activity is so extremely important that it must not be fragmented or neglected through overzealous earthly activity. For many people can be found for the latter but not for spiritual activity, which remains incomprehensible to people as long as they do not strive spiritually themselves. God Himself instructs His workers to work for Him, and He promises them His constant protection.... He makes them capable for their work, He assigns them the field of work.... the hearts and minds of people who are not completely devoid of God's will. He uses His willing workers as instruments to speak through them to people whom He wants to save from spiritual adversity, from the distress of their souls. And He uses a mediator to conceal Himself in this in order not to curtail people's freedom of faith and will, which would endanger His directly spoken word. And therefore every servant in His vineyard is welcome to Him.... therefore He blesses everyone who makes himself available for this work, who is active for the salvation of the erring souls out of love for God and his fellow human beings, for the last time has come.... and every hour shall be used before the end....
