Sofferenze ed afflizione tramite l’Intervento divino

Per molti uomini le sofferenze e le afflizioni cominceranno solamente con l’Intervento divino, perché dapprima ne sono rimasti indenni ed hanno lasciato inosservata ogni disposizione. La miseria dei prossimi non ha portato a nessun cambiamento del loro pensare e perciò deve venire una miseria su loro stessi che è ugualmente l’ultimo mezzo per la loro salvezza. E perciò ora vengono colpiti i paesi a cui finora era rimasta risparmiata una grave sofferenza e che comunque non sono innocenti nell’avvenimento mondiale che ha portato indicibile sofferenza sugli uomini. Gli uomini passano duri ed insensibili oltre la miseria del prossimo e sono questi stessi che devono gustare fino in fondo la sofferenza che la loro volontà ha approvata quando veniva sui prossimi, perché negli ultimi vedevano il loro nemico. E ciò che gli uomini causano ai loro prossimi, ricade ora mille volte su loro stessi. Ed ora in questo modo devono espiare, soltanto che nessuna volontà umana può mettere una fine alla miseria, perché non sono potenze umane, quelle che ora si manifestano, ma la Volontà divina Stessa è all’Opera e colpisce gli uomini nel loro punto più vulnerabile.

Egli toglie agli uomini ogni possesso, li rende poveri e deboli e totalmente dipendenti dalla Sua Grazia. Ed in questa miseria l’uomo deve imparare a riconoscere che non può nulla con la propria forza, deve imparare ad ammettere che Dio E’ giusto e che Egli punisce sensibilmente gli uomini che hanno mancato contro di Lui ed i Suoi Comandamenti; ma che Egli protegge anche coloro che sono strettamente uniti con Lui, benché siano circondati da uomini a cui Dio non significa più molto. E certi giungeranno ancora alla riflessione e confronteranno la loro propria sorte con quella degli uomini che sono destinati alla rovina da parte umana.

Ciò che Dio ora manda sugli uomini è così portentoso e pieno di sofferenza, che ogni uomo pensante potrebbe riconoscere in ciò una Volontà Superiore e dovrebbe entrare in sé. E nuovamente penserà solamente a sé; non vedrà la miseria generale, ma considererà solamente sé stesso e la sua sorte. E così l’amore per il prossimo verrà esercitato poco, ognuno tenderà solamente a migliorare la sua propria sorte, e di nuovo passerà oltre la miseria del prossimo. E Dio, il Quale conosce la volontà di ognuno, manda perciò una così grande miseria sugli uomini, per cambiare la loro volontà, per renderli morbidi e sensibili e li farà cercare il rifugio in Lui, il Quale da Solo può di nuovo cambiare nel bene il loro destino.

Suffering and tribulations through divine intervention....

For many people the suffering and tribulations only begin with the divine intervention, for they had previously remained untouched by it and ignored all admonitions. The adversity of their fellow human beings did not bring about a change in their thinking and therefore they themselves must now suffer hardship which is, as it were, the last resort for their salvation.... And that is why those countries will now be affected which have so far been spared severe suffering and yet are not blameless for the world events which have brought unspeakable suffering upon people. Many people pass by the hardship of their fellow human beings harshly and unfeelingly and it is these who have to endure the suffering themselves, which their will approved of when it came upon their fellow human beings because they saw their enemy in the latter. And what people inflict on their fellow human beings now falls back on them a thousand fold.... And they now have to atone in this way, except that human will cannot put an end to the misery, for it is not human powers which now express themselves but divine will itself is at work and hits people at their most vulnerable point.... He takes all possessions from people, He makes them poor and weak and completely dependent on His grace. And in this adversity people should learn to recognize that they are unable to do anything by their own strength, they should learn to understand that God is just and that He sensitively punishes people who have transgressed against Him and His commandments, but that He also protects those who are closely connected to Him even though they are surrounded by people who no longer care much about God. And many will still come to their senses and compare their own fate with that of those people whose downfall was destined by human beings. What God is now sending upon people is so powerful and sorrowful that every thinking person would have to recognize a higher will in it and reflect on himself. But again he will only think of himself; he will not see the general misery but only look at himself and his fate. And so charity will be practiced little, everyone will only strive to improve his own lot and again he will pass by the misery of his fellow human being.... And God, Who knows everyone's will, therefore sends such great suffering upon people in order to change this will, to make them soft and compassionate and to let them seek refuge in Him, Who alone can turn their fate around for the better.
