Il sapere dell’inizio primordiale e della meta finale

Il sapere del principio ur e della meta finale di tutto ciò che è, manca agli uomini e perciò non vivono coscientemente la loro vita terrena. Ma nessun uomo può dire che questo sapere non gli sia mai stato trasmesso, anche se non in modo preciso, a loro è stato comunque portato vicino almeno la fede in una Divinità la Cui Benevolenza si devono conquistare attraverso il loro cammino di vita. Questo è stato nascosto loro sempre in vista dell’effetto nel Regno dell’aldilà, quindi è sempre stata una premessa di una Vita dopo la morte del corpo ed ora l’uomo ne poteva prendere posizione secondo la sua volontà. Appena fa diventare forte la volontà in sé, penetra sempre più profondamente nel sapere, cioè viene istruito dagli esseri sapienti nel Regno spirituale secondo la Volontà divina, gli viene sottoposto in modo esauriente il senso e lo scopo delle Opere di Creazione, in lui viene risvegliata la consapevolezza della responsabilità ed ora cerca nella libera volontà di seguire la Volontà divina, cambia nell’amore e quindi adempie ora il suo vero compito terreno.

Gli uomini del tempo attuale però non sono accessibili per un tale sapere, considerano la loro vita terrena come una faccenda puramente esteriore che non ha per conseguenza nessuna responsabilità e quindi non si sforzeranno mai a trovare una spiegazione per la via terrena infinitamente lunga, osserveranno sempre soltanto l’avvenimento puramente terreno e non rifletteranno mai perché Dio abbia dato la Sua Approvazione per un agire che chiama innumerevoli uomini alla responsabilità.

Solo il senso e lo scopo della vita terrena, quindi un compito collegato a questa, può fornire il motivo per ciò che si svolge nel mondo, ciò che si riversa in sofferenza e miseria sugli uomini e ciò che ha per conseguenza in crudeltà. Ma gli uomini non potranno mai giustificarsi che loro stessi vi offrono la loro mano ed aumentano ancora il male.

Chi sà del principio ur e della meta finale sà anche, che l’umanità è ancora molto lontana dalla meta finale e perciò sà anche, che per via della grande sofferenza c’è ancora una possibilità di raggiungere la meta. E malgrado ciò l’atteggiamento dell’umanità non può essere approvato perché causa una tale sofferenza ai prossimi, perché la volontà degli uomini è cattiva, solo l’effetto della loro cattiva volontà viene guidato da Dio in modo che all’uomo ne possa ancora sorgere spiritualmente un vantaggio, appena si sente indotto di rifugiarsi in Lui e desidera il Suo Aiuto. Se gli uomini badassero ai pensieri che sorgono in loro sullo scopo e la meta della vita terrena, se desiderassero la Risposta a tali domande ed ascoltassero in silenzio nell’interiore ciò che giunge loro mentalmente come Risposta, allora riconoscerebbero anche in qualsiasi avvenimento mondiale un mezzo per raggiungere la meta finale posta a loro.

Ma la miscredenza sulla continuità della vita dell’anima dopo la morte è così diffusa che gli uomini vedono lo scopo e la meta della loro vita terrena solo nella vita terrena in genere, e finché hanno solo questa opinione puramente terrena, fino ad allora l’avvenimento mondiale sarà per loro incomprensibile perché ha un effetto totalmente contrario, quindi contraddice totalmente la meta che loro stessi si sono posti. Questa è la cecità dello spirito, questa è la miopia, perché considerano come scopo a sé stesso ciò che è solo un mezzo allo scopo. Questa è una ignoranza che ha un effetto oltremodo svantaggioso, perché il vero scopo dell’esistenza non viene considerato, quindi non vi si tende nemmeno. Ed è nuovamente difficile guidare gli uomini in quel sapere, finché non credono nella continuità della vita dopo la morte, finché non credono che la vita terrena è soltanto una gradino antecedente per la vera Vita, una scuola che devono assolvere, per essere accettati nel Regno dove comincia la vera Vita. Dapprima devono conquistare questa fede, se vogliono comprendere ciò che attualmente passa sulla Terra in sofferenza e miseria, in afflizione ed oppressione.

Knowledge about the primordial beginning and final destination....

People lack the knowledge of the primordial beginning and the final goal of everything that exists, and therefore they do not live their earthly life consciously. But no human being can say that this knowledge was never conveyed to him, even if not in detail, at least the belief in a deity was suggested to them Whose pleasure they should gain through their way of life.... This has always been held out to them with regard to the effects in the kingdom beyond, thus it has always been the prerequisite for life after the death of the body, and the human being could now take a stand on it according to his will.... As soon as he now lets this faith become strong in himself he penetrates ever deeper into knowledge, i.e., he is mentally instructed by the knowing beings in the spiritual kingdom according to divine will, the meaning and purpose of the works of creation and therefore also of the human being is informatively presented to him, the sense of responsibility is awakened in him, and of his own free will he now tries to comply with divine will.... he transforms himself into love and thus now fulfills his actual task on earth. But people of the present time are not accessible to such knowledge, they regard their earthly life as a purely external matter which does not entail any future responsibility, and thus they will never make an effort to find an explanation for the endlessly long path of earthly life, they will only ever pay attention to purely earthly events and never think about why God has given His permission for an activity which makes countless people responsible....

Only the meaning and purpose of life on earth, i.e. a task connected with it, can justify what is happening in the world, what suffering and misery is being poured out on people and what cruelty is taking place. But people can never justify themselves if they themselves lend a hand and increase the evil. Anyone who knows about the primordial beginning and the final goal also knows that humanity is still very far from the final goal and therefore also knows that the great suffering is still a possibility to reach the goal. And yet people's behavior cannot be approved of, which causes such suffering to fellow human beings, for people's will is bad, only the effect of their bad will is directed by God in such a way that it can still spiritually benefit the human being as soon as he feels prompted to flee to Him and seeks help from Him. If people would pay attention to the thoughts arising in them about the purpose and goal of earthly life, if they would desire answers to such questions and quietly listen inwardly to what mentally comes to them as an answer, they would also recognize in every worldly event a means to reach the final goal set for them. But thus the disbelief about the soul's continuation of life after death is so widespread that people only see the purpose and goal of earthly life in earthly life in general, and as long as they only have this purely earthly view world events will be incomprehensible to them because they have a completely opposite effect, thus they completely contradict the goal they have set for themselves. And this is blindness of spirit, it is short-sightedness, because they regard that which is only a means to an end as an end in itself.... It is an ignorance which has a highly detrimental effect because the actual purpose of earthly existence is not taken into account and therefore not striven for. And again, it is difficult to guide people into this knowledge as long as they do not believe in life after death.... as long as they do not believe that earthly life is only a preliminary stage for the actual life, a school which they have to complete in order to be accepted into the kingdom where the actual life begins.... They must first gain this faith if they want to understand the suffering and misery, tribulation and distress that is currently happening on earth....
