L’assenza del buon costume - Leggi non scritte

Un’assenza generale di buon costume accompagna il tempo del disamore degli uomini, ed anche questo è un segno della decadenza spirituale, che gli uomini non hanno più nessun riguardo della sensibilità dei prossimi e quindi verso di loro non si danno nessun ritegno. Ed una razza che è senza buoni costumi e senza profonda morale, va incontro al naufragio. Questo è bensì incomprensibile per gli uomini, dato che la moralità viene considerata solamente come opera umana secondaria e considerano come adeguato al tempo il vivere tutti gli istinti fino in fondo. In quest’opinione vengono sostenuti tramite l’interpretazione totalmente sbagliata che le leggi della moralità ostacolano gli uomini solamente nel vivere fino in fondo e perciò devono essere estinte. Un popolo che non vuole farsi nessuna legge come filo conduttore, non può mai e poi mai sussistere, dato che queste danno loro un sostegno morale e vivono la loro vita in un certo ordine sociale. Queste sono delle leggi non scritte che però venivano accettate finora dagli uomini, perché tutti riconoscevano sia la necessità che anche la benedizione di tali leggi e vi si sono adeguati senza resistenza per via dell’ordine umano. Queste leggi vengono sempre più dimenticate, oppure vengono sapientemente rigettate dagli uomini, perché sono d’impedimento ad un vivere fino in fondo la loro istintività. In ciò è visibilmente riconoscibile una retrocessione dello sviluppo spirituale, perché più l’uomo è istintivo, meno tende verso Dio; desidera il mondo, cioè tutto ciò che crea benessere al corpo, e per via del corpo lascia cadere ogni riguardo per il prossimo. La conseguenza è che l’uomo cade alle forze spirituali che hanno portato sulla Terra ad una vita del godimento sfrenato, che godono delle loro brame e quindi conducono una vita peccaminosa. Queste forze spirituali hanno una grande influenza su quegli uomini e li sfruttano in un modo che l’uomo bada sempre di meno alle leggi non scritte, per darsi senza pensare ad un cammino di vita dissoluto e per lui non esistono nemmeno più dei limiti per l’esaudimento delle sue brame. Lo sviluppo spirituale è per una tale predisposizione e non è mai di promozione per le gioie del mondo, perché ciò che pretende il corpo, sarà sempre a svantaggio dell’anima. Inoltre un tendere spirituale verrà deriso e schernito e questo nuovamente senza limite, perché gli uomini hanno perduto la sensazione per il comportamento e buoni costumi. Quindi non viene nemmeno considerata l’opinione del singolo, ma osservata come avversa e perciò rigettata, sovente in modo vergognoso, perché la moralità e la decadenza spirituale vanno mano nella mano. Gli uomini parlano bensì di essere emancipati, ma lo sono meno che mai. Parlano di progresso spirituale e sono comunque rimasti molto indietro, perché con ciò non intendono il progresso dell’anima, solo unicamente un pensare deformato che a loro sembra però desiderabile. Cercano di edificarsi una nuova moralità che presta vantaggio ad un leggero cammino di vita e tendono presentarlo come ideale. Così vengono rilasciate nuove leggi, le leggi vecchie vengono rovesciate così rispettivamente camminerà anche l’umanità e perderà ogni norma per una vita virtuosa compiacente a Dio, che deve procurare agli uomini un progresso dell’anima.

Immorality.... Unwritten laws....

General immorality accompanies the time of people's unkindness and the fact that people no longer show any consideration towards their fellow human being's feelings and thus no longer exert any kind of self-restraint is also a sign of spiritual deterioration. And a generation without manners and without meaningful morality is heading for disaster.... Admittedly, people find this incomprehensible, since they consider decency a mere human addition and that the times justify giving full expression to all instincts. And their points of view are encouraged by the completely wrong opinion that moral laws merely prevent people from enjoying life and therefore must be abolished. No nation will ever survive if it does not want to accept any laws as a guiding principle which give people moral stability so that they will live their life within the framework of a certain social order.... These are unwritten laws which people have nevertheless accepted until now, because they have all recognised both the necessity as well as the blessings of such laws and, for the sake of human order, have submitted to them without argument.... These laws are increasingly more forgotten or they are knowingly discarded by people because they prevent them from living up to their sensuality. This clearly shows a decline of spiritual development, for the more sensual a person is, the less he strives towards God; he desires the world, that is, everything that gives pleasure to the body, and for the sake of the body disposes of all consideration towards his fellow human beings. As a result, the human being falls prey to spiritual forces which had lived a life of uninhibited pleasure on earth, which indulged their cravings and thus had led a sinful life. These spiritual forces exert tremendous influence on these people and use them such that the human being pays less and less attention to the unwritten laws, that he unreservedly indulges himself in an easy way of life and that no limits exist for him than the fulfilment of his lust. This attitude towards worldly pleasures will never be conducive to spiritual development, for anything the body demands will always disadvantage the soul. Besides, spiritual aspiration will be laughed at and ridiculed, and this without all inhibition, because people will have lost all sense of decency and good manners.... Hence, the individual person's point of view will not be respected either but will be deemed hostile and therefore be discarded, often in the most shameless fashion. For immorality and spiritual deterioration go hand in hand. People indeed speak about being enlightened and, yet, they are less enlightened than ever before.... They speak of spiritual advancement and, yet, they remain far behind, for they don't understand it as the progress of the soul, instead, they only mean a wrong way of thinking, which they nevertheless find worth striving for. They try to construct a new morality for themselves which aids and abets an easy way of life and intend to portray it as ideal. And thus new laws will come into being and old laws will be revoked, and humanity will change accordingly and lose every guideline for a virtuous, God-pleasing life which is intended to improve the human being's soul....
