L’influenza del principe della menzogna sul pensare degli uomini

Osservate l’atteggiamento dell’umanità. E’ dominata dallo spirito della menzogna, e questo causa indicibile confusione. Il pensare umano si allontana sempre di più dalla Verità, perché l’uomo accetta in pensieri la menzogna, e non usa la sua propria facoltà di giudizio, per riconoscerla come tale, e di conseguenza la vita dei sentimenti dell’uomo viene guidata anche nell’errore. Ed ora è comprensibile, che l’involucro si raddensa sempre di più intorno allo spirituale dell’uomo, quindi l’uomo si allontana sempre di più dalla Verità perché lo spirito in lui non può esprimersi, cioè l’anima è incapace di accogliere la Verità spirituale.

Appena il pensare dell’uomo prende una falsa direzione, la voce dello spirito in lui risuona sempre più piano ed infine non viene più percepita. La conseguenza di ciò è: una umanità che cammina totalmente nell’ignoranza, che tende a mete totalmente diverse di quella che le era stata posta in principio. Ed il percorso terreno è perciò del tutto inutile, perché finché l’uomo cammina nell’errore, si rivolge a quel potere dal quale si deve separare.

Ed ora il potere opposto a Dio usa la volontà rivolta a lui e obbliga l’essere umano ad azioni, che sono rivolte contro Dio, per distruggere ogni legame con Lui e rendersi gli uomini totalmente sottomessi e questo stato è ora riconoscibile nell’umanità. La vita terrena viene condotta del tutto indipendentemente da Dio, soltanto raramente si pensa a Colui dal Quale tutto è proceduto, oppure ogni pensiero che è rivolto allo spirituale, viene timorosamente tenuto segreto. Dio non viene più confessato apertamente, se in genere si pensa ancora a Lui.

Tutto questo sono i segni visibili dell’agire di forze nemiche di Dio, perché più la sua influenza è forte, più debole è l’uomo. E dato che l’uomo si allontana sempre di più dall’eterna Divinità, la sua forza diventa sempre meno per resistere all’influenza cattiva. Invece ora gli giunge la forza da parte del potere avverso a Dio, e questa lo promuove in tutti gli sforzi terreni. Così il successo terreno è sempre garantito appunto attraverso quella forza, e nuovamente il successo terreno contribuisce ancora di più di staccarsi totalmente da Dio, perché ora l’uomo non necessita più della Forza divina, quindi non invoca nemmeno Dio, ma Lo rinnega.

E questa è sempre l’intenzione dell’avversario, di distogliere l’uomo totalmente da pensieri rivolti a Dio, perché allora lo ha del tutto nel suo potere, è diventato vincitore sull’essere, che era libero a chi voleva concedere la vittoria. Si è deciso per l’avversario di Dio, e quindi ha percorso del tutto inutilmente il suo cammino terreno. Ma Dio non lascia cadere questi esseri. Egli vuole fornire loro la dimostrazione che tutto il desiderabile terreno è sottoposto anche al suo Potere, che Egli lo può distruggere, se questo corrisponde alla Sua Volontà.

Non è per nulla una distruzione senza piano di ciò che all’uomo sembra desiderabile, ma anche quest’Opera di distruzione dal punto di vista spirituale sarà del massimo vantaggio per innumerevoli esseri. Ma gli uomini, che non riconoscono il profondo significato di ciò, saranno profondamente colpiti, perché perdono tutto ciò che finora significava per loro il contenuto della vita. Ed ora si trovano nuovamente davanti alla decisione, di cercare di nuovo lo stesso oppure di riconoscere la caducità di questo e di raccogliersi ora dei beni imperituri. Perché nel momento della distruzione l’avversario perde in potere, e come l’uomo riconosce la sua impotenza, esiste la possibilità, che riconosca un altro Signore al di sopra di sé e si rivolge ora a Lui. Il bene terreno è parte del potere cattivo, perché cela in sé dello spirituale non salvato, e l’uomo non deve desiderare ciò che è stato per lui stesso il luogo di soggiorno per delle Eternità, non deve tendere verso ciò per cui ha impiegato tempi infiniti di superarlo.

E così gli deve essere dimostrato visibilmente l’inutilità di ciò affinché si distolga da questo e si rivolga a quello che viene dopo di lui, dopo la vita sulla Terra. Deve rinunciare al terreno e desiderare lo spirituale, poi supera anche l’ultima forma e si libera da ogni catena. Ma lo spirituale è qualcosa che rimane esistente, e perciò fa parte del Regno della Verità. Il terreno invece è perituro, quindi, appartiene al regno dell’oscurità, della menzogna, perché cela in sé solo lo spirituale immaturo, che non riconosce la Verità e perciò viene relegato.

E così l’uomo non può mai stare nella Verità, finché desidera del bene terreno e concede il potere al principe della menzogna, proprio attraverso questo desiderare. E viene dominato dalla menzogna, finché desidera ancora del bene terreno. E si troverà nel pensare errato, perché il principe della menzogna cerca dapprima d’influenzare il pensare dell’uomo, per allontanarlo definitivamente dalla Verità. E perciò lo stato degli uomini è oltremodo critico, e può essere eliminato solo quando Dio Stesso spezza il potere dell’avversario, mentre Egli distrugge il possesso terreno.

Influence by the prince of lies on people's thinking....

Look at humanity's conduct. It is dominated by the spirit of lies and this is causing indescribable confusion. Human thinking will distance itself ever further from the truth, for the human being mentally accepts the lie and has no way of recognising it as such, and thus the person's emotional life will be led astray as well. It is therefore understandable that the layer around the human soul continues to thicken, thus the person distances himself more and more from the truth since the spirit in him cannot express itself, i.e. the soul is incapable of receiving spiritual truths. As soon as a person's thinking takes the wrong direction the voice of the spirit gradually subsides until, in the end, it is no longer heard. The result is a human race which lives in complete ignorance, which strives towards completely different goals than they were originally supposed to achieve. Hence, earthly life is entirely unsuccessful, because as long as the human being lives in error he turns to the power from which he should separate himself. The God-opposing power subsequently makes use of this inclined will and determines the being to commit God-opposing actions in order to destroy all ties and to subjugate the being completely. And this state among mankind can now clearly be recognised.... Earthly life is lived totally independently from God, people only rarely think of the One from Whom everything emerged.... or every thought relating to spiritual matters is anxiously kept secret. God is no longer publicly professed, providing He is at all thought of. All these are visible signs of powers which are hostile to God, for their influence grows stronger the weaker the human being becomes. And since the human being keeps distancing himself ever further from the eternal Deity, his strength to resist the evil influence grows constantly weaker. Instead, he receives the strength from the God-opposing power which supports him in all earthly undertakings. Thus earthly success is always guaranteed through this said strength and the earthly success, in turn, contributes towards a complete separation from God, for the human being no longer needs divine strength, consequently he no longer calls upon God either but denies Him.... And it is the adversary's intention to alienate the human being completely from thoughts of God, for then he will have absolute control over him. He has become a victor over the being which had the choice to whom it wanted to concede victory.

It has chosen God's adversary and thus walked its earthly path in an entirely wrong direction....

Yet God will not let these beings fall.... He will provide them with the evidence that everything earthly worth striving for is also subject to His power.... that He can destroy it if it corresponds to His will. He by no means haphazardly destroys what the human being deems desirable, but this work of destruction will, from a spiritual point of view, also be of greatest advantage for countless entities. Yet people who do not recognise its profound significance will be sorely affected by it, for they will lose everything which, until now, signified their whole life. And once again they are facing the decision.... to strive for the same again or to recognise the transience of it and to gather everlasting possessions for themselves. For at the moment of destruction the adversary loses power, and if the person recognises the impotence of the latter the possibility is given that he might recognise a different Lord above himself and turn to Him. Earthly possession is the share of the evil power for it contains unredeemed spiritual substances, and the human being should not desire what was his place of abode for an infinitely long time before.... he should not strive towards something which took him endless times to overcome.... And thus the obvious worthlessness of it has to be proven to him, so that he will turn away from it and towards that which will come after him, after his life on earth. He must relinquish earthly matter and desire spiritual things, then he will also overcome the final form and liberate himself from every chain. However, spiritual things continue to exist and therefore belong in the realm of truth.... Worldly things, however, are transient, thus they belong to the realm of darkness, to untruth, for it only shelters immature spiritual substance which did not recognise the truth and therefore were banished. Consequently, the human being can never know the truth as long as he desires earthly goods and, precisely because of this desire, concedes power to the prince of lies. And as long as he strives for earthly possessions he will be dominated by the lie, and his thinking has to be misguided, for the prince of lies tries to influence the person's thoughts first and to completely distance him from the truth. Therefore, the state of people is extremely alarming and can only be remedied if God Himself breaks the adversary's power by destroying earthly possessions....
