La periturità del terreno - L’eliminazione - Ostacoli

La periturità di ciò che a voi uomini sembra desiderabile vi dev’essere dimostrato solo quando imparate a disprezzare la materia e solo allora potete lavorare su di voi e il vostro perfezionamento. Perché vi impedisce ancora troppo la materia, distrae i vostri pensieri dal vero compito della vita terrena e così trascorre il tempo inutilizzato sulla Terra. Ma Dio ha Compassione di voi e cerca di guidare la miseria delle vostre anime. Ed anche se i Suoi Mandati procurano grande miseria terrena alle vostre anime, è comunque di nuovo una dimostrazione del Suo ultragrande Amore per risparmiare a voi una volta una miseria molto maggiore. Perciò riconoscete questo Suo Amore, qualunque cosa Egli faccia venire su di voi. Sappiate che vuole tenervi soltanto lontano una miseria molto più grande, ma non vi può essere del tutto risparmiata la sofferenza, perché voi stessi non mettete mano al lavoro sulla vostra anima. Vivete la vostra vita senza pensare alle sue conseguenze e quindi non la utilizzate secondo la vera destinazione. E questo ha per conseguenza la vostra retrocessione spirituale che Dio vuole però impedire per Amore per voi, che siete le Sue creature. Ma voi tendete alla retrocessione spirituale se cercate di aumentare la materia, perché allora desiderate ciò che dovete superare, desiderate ciò che era prima il vostro stato, quindi state retrocedendo, mentre il vostro compito è appunto di liberarvi dal desiderio e di vincere tutto ciò che è relegato nella forma. Affinché vi sia ora facile staccarsi da questo, Dio vuole portare davanti agli occhi la caducità di questo ed indurvi alla seria riflessione sul vostro vero compito terreno. Egli vi toglie dalla via tutti gli ostacoli che aggravano il cammino verso l’Alto, ma senza miseria terrena è messo in dubbio il vostro sviluppo verso l’Alto. La sofferenza non può esservi risparmiata, perché la libera volontà ha fallito. Perché se rinunciate per libera volontà a tutto ciò che è parte del mondo, allora il Mandato dall’Alto non vi colpisce in modo doloroso, ma vi è solo la conferma di ciò che la vostra anima aveva prima riconosciuto. Perciò dovrà sempre soltanto soffrire l’uomo, il cui cuore non poteva liberarsi dal desiderio terreno; percepirà dolorosamente se deve sperimentare il naufragio di ciò che gli sembrava desiderabile. E malgrado ciò, non gli può essere tenuta lontana una tale sofferenza, perché è l’ultimo tentativo di cambiare il suo desiderio. Se in questo riconosce la Volontà e l’Amore di Dio, anche quest’opera di distruzione sarà di Benedizione, perché gli ha fatto riconoscere il suo vero compito. E questo gli sarà ora facile, non avrà più da superare così grandi ostacoli, dato che Dio Stesso glieli ha diminuiti, perché lui stesso è troppo debole per combattere contro tutto ciò che lo ha ostacolato sulla via verso l’Alto.

Transience of the earthly.... clearing away - obstacles....

The transience of what you humans deem desirable has to be proven to you, only then will you learn to despise matter and only then will you be able to work on yourselves and your perfection. For matter still hinders you far too much, it distracts your thoughts from the actual task of earthly life and thus your time on earth passes by unused. But God has mercy on you and He tries to control the adversity of your souls. And although His programmes on earth result in great earthly hardship, it is nevertheless again proof of His greater than great love in order to spare you far greater hardship one day. Therefore regocnize this His love, whatever He may send upon you. Know that He is only ever anxious to avert far greater adversity from you, but that you cannot be completely spared suffering because you do not do your soul's work yourselves. You live your life regardless of its consequences and thus you do not use it according to its actual purpose. And this results in your spiritual decline which, however, God wants to prevent out of love for you, who are His living creations. But you strive for spiritual decline when you try to increase matter, for then you desire that which you are supposed to overcome.... You desire that which was previously your state, thus you are regressive, whereas it is your task to free yourselves from desire and to overcome all that which is banished in form. In order to make it easier for you to free yourselves from it, God wants to make you aware of its transience and cause you to seriously reflect on your actual task on earth. He removes all obstacles from your path which impede your ascent, yet without earthly hardship your higher development is jeopardized. You cannot be spared suffering because free will has failed. For if you voluntarily surrender everything that is part of the world, the mission from above will not painfully affect you but is merely a confirmation of what your soul has previously regocnized. This is why only the person whose heart could not free itself from earthly desire will ever have to suffer; he will feel painfully if he has to experience the downfall of what seemed desirable to him. And yet such suffering cannot be kept from him, for it is the last attempt to change his desire. If he regocnizes God's will and His love in it, this work of destruction will also be a blessing, for it made him regocnize his actual task. And this task will now be easy for him, he will no longer have to overcome such great obstacles since God Himself has reduced them for him because he himself was too weak to fight against everything that hindered him on the path upwards....
