La lotta delle anime – La preghiera – La libera volontà – La materia

L’anima ha da superare indicibili difficoltà, prima che sia diventata padrona di tutta la materia. Perché in questa lotta si trova così a lungo, finché non tende coscientemente all’aiuto e nuovamente lo farà solamente, quando ha superato il desiderio per il bene terreno, quindi ha già dichiarato la lotta alla materia. Ma per poter superare, necessità del sostegno di esseri spirituali volenterosi di aiutare, che li rende disponibili per sé attraverso la preghiera. Ma malgrado ciò ha comunque molto da lottare e lei stessa dev’essere attiva inarrestabilmente, perché solo attraverso il proprio lavoro l’anima può maturare, ed il sostegno degli amici spirituali consiste solo nel fatto, che all’anima che lotta viene trasmessa la necessaria Forza che lei stessa deve soltanto impiegare nella conoscenza del suo compito terreno. Così nel potere di ogni uomo si trova indubbiamente una totale trasformazione, se soltanto la volontà si è decisa per questa. A volte gli uomini credono che loro stessi non possono intraprendere nulla e dovrebbero solo sempre eseguire la Volontà di Dio, e dipenderebbe nuovamente dal fatto, che l’uomo non è sottoposto nessuna costrizione nel rapporto spirituale da parte del divino Creatore, che gli rimane piuttosto lasciata tutta la libertà della volontà, quando si tratta della salvezza della sua anima. Il suo pensare viene bensì guidato da parte spirituale su problemi spirituali, gli verrà dato il chiarimento in molte questioni, ma la sua volontà potrà decidersi totalmente libera, se ed in quale misura vengono accolti i pensieri trasmessi e presi a cuore. E l’uomo è pure libero di chiamare a sé la necessaria Forza attraverso la preghiera, per poter affrontare le pretese più difficili. Di conseguenza l’anima umana ha senza dubbio da adempiere un grande compito, che consiste nel fatto, di provvedere alla sua trasformazione, affinché lei stessa si lanci in alto dall’oscurità dello spirito. affinché si liberi dalle catene della materia e questo attraverso l’amore, dev’essere attiva continuamente, deve aspirare alla perfezione e ricordarsi sempre, che le sta a disposizione solo un breve tempo, che deve servire alla sua trasformazione, deve anche sapere, che lei stessa ha il più grande svantaggio, quando il tempo terreno non le ha procurato la maturità e perciò tendere solo ad una cosa, di essere continuamente attiva, lottare ininterrottamente e staccarsi da tutto ciò che le sembra desiderabile, per vincere definitivamente la materia e con ciò liberarsi da ogni catena, che le impedisce di lanciarsi in sfere luminose.

Wrestling of the soul.... prayer.... free will.... matter....

The soul has to overcome unspeakable difficulties before it has become master of all matter. For it is in battle with matter until it consciously strives for help, and again, it will only do the latter when it has overcome its desire for earthly possessions, thus it has, as it were, already declared war on matter. But in order to be able to overcome it needs the support of helpful spiritual beings which it makes serviceable to itself through prayer. But it still has to struggle a lot and has to be restlessly active itself, for the soul can only mature through its own work, and the support of spiritual friends only consists of conveying the necessary strength to the struggling soul, but which it now has to utilize itself in realization of its earthly task. Thus a complete transformation is undoubtedly within every person's power once the will has decided to do so.... People sometimes believe that they cannot do anything themselves and only ever have to carry out God's will, and again it should be pointed out that the human being is not subject to any coercion from the divine creator in a spiritual respect, that instead all freedom of will is left to him if it concerns his soul's salvation. His thoughts will indeed be directed by the spiritual side towards spiritual problems, he will receive enlightenment in many questions, yet his will will be completely free to decide whether and to what extent the transmitted thoughts will be accepted and taken to heart. And likewise, the human being is free to gain the necessary strength through prayer in order to meet the most difficult demands. Consequently, the human soul undoubtedly has to fulfil a great task which consists of taking care of its transformation so that it will lift itself out of the darkness of spirit.... so that it will liberate itself from the fetters of matter, and this through love.... it must constantly be active to shape itself.... it must reject everything ignoble, it must strive for perfection and always be mindful of the fact that it only has a short time at its disposal which should serve its transformation.... it must also know that it is at the greatest disadvantage if the time on earth has not brought it maturity, and therefore only strive for one thing, to be constantly active to constantly wrestle and detach itself from everything that appears desirable to it in order to finally conquer matter and thereby free itself from every shackle which prevents it from ascending into light spheres....
