L’ebbrezza dei sensi – La procreazione – Lo scopo

Gli uomini si ribellano maggiormente contro l’accettazione di dottrine di un cammino di vita virtuoso, con cui è da intendere una rinuncia ad ogni ebbrezza dei sensi corporei, che non hanno la volontà per il risveglio di una nuova vita come premessa. Questo istinto è sviluppato oltremodo forte, per poter proprio in questo mettere alla prova la più grande volontà di ribellione, ma la minor parte degli uomini combatte contro questa brama della carne. Loro cedono alla spinta corporea e badano alla continua soddisfazione con la quale causano alla loro anima un danno così grande, perché ora non sono più in grado di poter essere attivi in modo puramente spirituale, perché la volontà per vincere questa brama è così indebolita. Il procedimento del tutto naturale della procreazione dell’uomo è legato con il benessere corporeo nella più saggia predisposizione dal divino Creatore, per stimolarlo sempre di nuovo alla procreazione e per dare con ciò la possibilità dell’incorporazione a delle anime in attesa di entrare nell’esistenza sulla Terra. Questo è l’unico scopo dell’unione tra uomo e donna e dovrebbe essere pensata bene, ed ogni ebbrezza dei sensi deve essere possibilmente guidata tramite una severa astinenza e la mortificazione della carne. Invece si cerca di sottrarsi al più grande compito terreno e ci si da sconfinatamene alle voglie corporee, di lasciar diventare queste ben presto la molla principale della vita e di preparare con ciò un ostacolo insuperabile per l’anima, che non le fa trovare la via verso l’Alto. Lei viene trattenuta alla Terra da questa brama del corpo e con la propria forza non può lanciarsi verso l’Alto, risprofonda sempre e sempre di nuovo ed ha da lottare smisuratamente attraverso l’istinto del corpo per l’adempimento della sua voglia. Gli organi dell’uomo non necessitano assolutamente che si adeguino al desiderio, ma l’uomo può educarsi molto bene all’astinenza ed al superamento delle sue brame, perché il desiderio aumenta, più viene assecondato, ed è da domare nella stessa misura, per quanto sia forte la volontà e l’uomo si rende conto, quale danno causa all’anima, quando il corpo viene soddisfatto senza limite. Ma questo gli uomini non lo vogliono ammettere, non vogliono caricarsi nessuna limitazione e perciò infuriano contro la loro propria anima, per non lasciar languire il corpo. E la vera destinazione del loro corpo, di generare di nuovo esseri umani, viene del tutto disatteso, per cui non causano soltanto il danno a sé stessi, ma contemporaneamente alle anime, che si vogliono incorporare, negando loro l’entrata in un corpo umano e così impediscono una nuova nascita.

Sensual frenzy.... begetting.... purpose....

What people resist the most is the acceptance of the teachings of a civilized way of life, which means renouncing all bodily sensual intoxication that does not have the will to awaken a new life as a prerequisite. This urge is so strongly developed that it can test the greatest will to resist, but very few people fight against this desire of the flesh. They give in to the physical urge and strive for everlasting satisfaction and thereby cause so much damage to their soul, for they can no longer be purely spiritually active where the will to overcome this desire is so weakened. The entirely natural process of the human being's procreation is combined with physical comfort by the divine creator in wisest insight in order to repeatedly induce him to procreate and thereby give the souls awaiting embodiment the opportunity to enter into existence on earth. This is the sole purpose of the union of man and woman and should be well considered and, through strict restraint and self-mortification, every sensual intoxication should be controlled as far as possible. Instead of this, one tries to avoid the greatest earthly task and gives oneself unrestrainedly to bodily desires, even to let these soon become the mainspring of life and thereby prepare an insurmountable obstacle for the soul, which does not let it find its way upwards. It is held to earth by this desire of the body and cannot swing upwards of its own strength, again and again it sinks back and has to struggle immeasurably due to the body's urge to fulfil its desire. The human being's organs do not absolutely need the desire to be satisfied but the human being can very well educate himself to abstinence and to overcome his desires, for the desire increases the more it is satisfied and can also be tamed to the same extent if the will is strong and the human being is aware of the damage he causes to the soul when the body is completely satisfied. But people don't want to accept such things, they don't want to impose any restrictions on themselves and therefore rage against their own soul in order not to let the body live in want.... And they completely disregard the actual purpose of their body, to beget human beings again, thereby not only harming themselves but at the same time denying the souls which want to embody themselves entry into the human body and thus preventing the new birth....
