L'état d'éloignement de Dieu

L'état d'éloignement de Dieu ne peut jamais avoir pour effet que l'homme soit bon et noble, car l’homme se sentira toujours de nouveau attiré là où sont actives des forces adverses à Dieu, il trouvera plaisir dans le mal, car cela correspond entièrement à la volonté de celui qui est dans le plus grand éloignement de Dieu. Se tenir à l'écart de Dieu signifie un état bas et bassesse signifie imperfection, ignorance et absence de Force. Donc un être éloigné de Dieu ne peut jamais être dans un état bon et noble, et il ne cherchera pas à être puissant et parfait. Il portera en lui tous les signes qui caractérisent le pôle opposé à Dieu. Celui qui cherche à changer son état éloigné de Dieu, doit chercher à fuir l'adversaire de Dieu ; il doit éviter ce qui lui imprime le timbre de son appartenance. Il doit aussi se former vers le Haut, à la rencontre de Dieu, il doit chercher à arriver près de Dieu. Et donc il doit faire ce qui est contraire à ce qu’il a fait jusqu'à présent lorsqu’il était sous l'influence de l'adversaire de Dieu. Il doit changer tout son être, il doit aspirer à la perfection, il doit désirer le savoir et demander la Force. Il doit combattre ce qui caractérise le pouvoir loin de Dieu et se former de sorte qu’il soit digne de la Proximité de Dieu. Parce que cela est la chose la plus délicieuse qu’un homme sur la Terre puisse conquérir. Parce que l’éloignement de Dieu lie l'être, il devient libre au travers de la Proximité de Dieu, et la liberté est le but le plus désirable pour tout le spirituel. Celui qui est loin de Dieu, est lié ; et tout ce qui n'est pas libre ressent la contrainte et voudrait s’en libérer. Dès que l'être perçoit l’éloignement de Dieu comme un tourment il voudrait s’en échapper, or il existe une possibilité d’atteindre ce but. Seulement celui qui se sent bien loin de Dieu ne deviendra jamais libre du pouvoir qui est contre Dieu. Il ne peut pas devenir libre, parce que sa tendance vers le bas est encore trop grande ; il sera incapable d'une action noble ; il sera même incapable d'aimer, et tout ce qu’il fait correspondra davantage à la volonté du pouvoir malin. Mais Dieu veut changer cet état d’éloignement, et là où l'être n’y aspire pas tout seul, Il lui donne une autre possibilité. Il cherche à pousser l'homme à de bonnes actions, pour qu’à partir de cela il perçoive la Force de l'Amour divin et maintenant il ne voudra plus être sans lui. Et alors la remontée vers le Haut commence, alors commence à se réveiller en lui le désir pour la Proximité de Dieu, et l'homme se détourne dans la libre volonté de l'adversaire de Dieu, parce qu’en lui devient actif le désir pour Dieu, c'est-à-dire qu’il stimule sa volonté à se tourner vers Dieu pour obtenir de l'Aide. Et l'homme n'invoquera pas en vain, lorsque sa prière est tournée vers le développement spirituel vers le Haut.

State of remoteness from God....

The state of remoteness from God can never have the effect that the human being is good and noble, but he will always feel drawn to where God-opposing forces are active, he will take pleasure in evil, he will completely correspond to the will of the one who stands at the greatest distance from God. To be distant from God means being low and lowly, it means imperfection, ignorance and powerlessness.... And therefore a being in a state far from God can neither be good and noble, nor wise, powerful and perfect. It will bear all the characteristics that the antithesis of God embodies. He who seeks to change his state far from God must try to flee from the opponent of God; he must avoid that which puts the stamp of his affiliation with him on him. He must raise himself up to meet God.... he must try to get close to God. And thus he must do what is contrary to what he has done so far when he was under the influence of God's adversary.... He must change his whole being, he must strive for perfection, he must desire knowledge and ask for strength.... He must fight the characteristics of the power far from God and mould himself in such a way that he is worthy of closeness to God. For closeness to God is the most precious thing a person can achieve on earth. For just as the state far from God binds the being, so it becomes free through closeness to God, and freedom is the desirable goal of all spirituality. He who is far from God is also bound; but everything that is not free feels the compulsion and would like to free itself from it.... As soon as the being feels the state far from God as agony and wants to flee from it, there is also the prospect that it will reach its goal. Only what feels comfortable in the state of being far from God will never become free from the power of the one who opposes God. It cannot become free because the downward inclination is still too great in it; it will be incapable of noble action; it will also be incapable of love, and everything it does will be more in accordance with the will of the evil power. But God wants to change the state far from God, and where the being does not strive for this of its own accord, He gives it further opportunities.... He tries to induce the human being to do good deeds so that he thereby feels the strength of divine love and no longer wants to be without it. And then the ascent upwards begins, then the desire for closeness to God starts to awaken in him, and the human being turns away from God's adversary of his own free will because the desire for God becomes active in him, i.e. stimulates his will to turn to God for help.... And the human being will not call in vain if his prayer is for higher spiritual development....
