Dangers du monde – Splendeur apparente

Vous devez vous fortifier avec la Force qui afflue de la Parole de Dieu. Et ainsi le Seigneur te révèle que personne ne peut mener une vie complaisante à Dieu, s’il tourne continuellement ses pensées vers le monde, parce que l'âme ne peut jamais et encore jamais trouver son Créateur là où beaucoup plus d'intérêts sont tournés vers le monde temporaire. Dans une telle pauvreté spirituelle il ne réside vraiment pas d’étincelle de la connaissance de Dieu. L'homme cherche à arracher de la Terre tout ce qu’il est possible d’imaginer, mais il n’a aucune pensée qui se tournerait vers son éternel Créateur. Qui maintenant connaît les dangers de la Terre, ne prévoira sûrement aucune bonne fin. Ainsi passe un jour après l'autre qui n’apporte à personne aucune élévation de l'âme, une longue vie est passée, sans pensée vers le Divin et pauvre en Grâce et en édification divine, parce que là où un cœur ne demande pas cela avec désir, il doit languir et ainsi perdre une Aide infinie et une Assistance. Mais le monde avec son apparente splendeur éblouit un tel cœur pauvre et plus d’un homme le désire plus il en aura le désir, parce que le monde rends hommage à ceux qui le désirent. Ainsi la plupart ne reconnaissent pas le but de leur vie, parce que devant les yeux il y a continuellement le voile de l'ignorance ou bien ce qui n’est pas créé pour l'Éternité est indiciblement triste. Parfois ils ont bien une pensée vers Dieu, mais alors c’est toujours seulement une indication mécanique de la religion qui leur a été enseignée. Mais leur intérieur en sait peu de chose, et il ne cherche pas vraiment une liaison intime avec le Père céleste parce que chaque contrainte spirituelle leur est inconfortable, et une pleine connaissance est encore loin d’eux. Ainsi une telle âme évite craintivement l'occasion qui pourrait lui donner un éclaircissement, et elle s'agrippe à un enseignement mort, plutôt que de se donner avec un cœur chaud plein de vie à cet enseignement et de se porter dans un état dans laquelle l'esprit domine le corps et où toute la plénitude de la Grâce divine le ferait se tourner facilement vers le Haut. Pensez sérieusement à ces pauvres âmes dans vos prière, pour qu'à elles soit encore allumée sur la Terre la Lumière de la connaissance et qu'elles ne doivent pas lutter indiciblement dans le monde de l'au-delà.

Dangers of the world.... False luster....

You must strengthen yourselves with the power that flows to you from the Word of God, and so the Lord tells you that no-one makes an effort to lead a life pleasing to God who continues to turn his thoughts to the worldly, because the soul can never find it's Creator where far more interest is devoted to the temporal life. In such spiritual poverty the spark of the knowledge of God is certainly not hidden. Man seeks to win from the earth everything conceivably possible, but no thought, however quietly longing, turns to the eternal Creator.... Anyone knowing the dangers of the current earth certainly foresee no good end....

And so one day after the other passes by and brings no ascent to the human soul.... a long life passed by without any consideration towards the Divine - and is poor in Divine grace and edification, because where the heart does not ask for it, there it must be in need and thus loses infinite help and support. But the world with it's false luster blinds such a poor heart, and the more such a man longs for it, the more abundantly it will be fulfilled, because the world pays it's tribute to him who only longs for it.

So most do not recognize their purpose in life because the veil of ignorance is permanently before their spiritual eyes, and what now such a soul creates or does not create for eternity, is unspeakably sad. Thoughts of God indeed forces itself upon them at times, but then it is always only a mechanical merging in religion they are taught.... Their inside, however, knows little of it, and they do not try to establish a deep internal connection with the heavenly Father at all, because any spiritual compulsion is unpleasant for them, and they are still so far removed from a full recognition....

Thus such a soul anxiously avoids the opportunity that could give it enlightenment, and prefers to cling desperately to the dead teaching rather than to give life to this teaching with a warm heart and bring itself into a state in which the spirit dominates the body and the whole fullness of Divine grace would make the way upwards so easy for them. Remember these poor souls fervently in prayer, so that the light of knowledge may be kindled for them still on earth and they may not have to struggle unspeakably in the world beyond....
