Condiciones para el obrar del Esprítu de Dios

Estas son las condiciones previas para que los hombres puedan recibir el Espíritu: que estos se esfuercen en vivir según la Voluntad divina, que se eduquen en la humildad y se hagan pacíficos, que estén dispuestos a servir a Dios y al prójimo y sean caritativos y así se esfuercen por llegar a ser una imágen de Dios. El espíritu de Dios en el hombre contrae una alianza con el Espíritu Divino, el cual es una irradiación de Dios; mas dodo lo divino supone un hombre receptivo, que sea digno de recibir un contenido tan valioso, y por eso la primera condición es que el hombre sea de corazón puro, que aborrezca lo que no es bueno y noble ... que aspire a la verdad y odie la mentira ... que no abrigue pensamientos impuros y turbios, se aparte de todo lo que es falta de cariño, que sea justo en el pensar y obrar y sirva en amor ...

Entonces se forma su corazón de modo que pueda recibir dignamente el Espíritu de Dios y, también sea apto, pues el espíritu en el hombre es libre y puede unirse con el Espíritu de Dios que es la perfección y, por tanto, ser irradiado por la Fuerza de Dios, recibiendo incesantemente luz y fuerza. Cada hombre que suplica a Dios por el Espíritu de Dios desde lo más hondo del corazón y en profunda humildad, recibirá el Espíritu divino, lo más sagrado de Dios, en tanto que se esfuerce en vivir así, para ser digno de merecer la Gracia más valiosa. El tiene que reconocer a Dios como al Altísimo y el Ser más perfecto, quien es sumamente sabio y poderoso y por tanto tener plena fe en El. El tiene que pedir su Amor y Gracia, es decir, anhelar lo que Dios quiera prodigarle ... y él tiene que ser activo en el amor para merecer ese amor ...

Dios llenará con su Gracia a todo hombre que actúe de este modo. El le dará sin medida a su espíritu ... El lo dirigirá en el justo pensar, iluminará su espíritu y le dará fuerza para reconocer la verdad. El enriquecerá su saber, y la Creación se le revelará clara y lúcidamente. El conocerá su sentido y objetivo. El se internará en el Reino espiritual y comprenderá el significado de su vida terrenal. Pero el hombre tiene que hacer una cosa por sí mismo ... tiene que abrir gustoso y solícito su oído si quiere que se le revele el Espíritu de Dios. El corazón, su oído espiritual, tiene que declararse dispuesto a la recepción y acogida y prepararse para ello, aislándose de todo el mundo, estando solo dirigido a Dios y pidiendo la dávida divina ... Y suavemente, sin hacer ruido, Dios se inclina hacia los hombres solícitos y de buena voluntad dispuestos a recibir la Palabra divina. Pues así como dirigen sus corazones hacia lo alto, ellos escuchan la Palabra que viene de arriba y ella resuena en los corazones tan tenue y fina, que sólo puede ser percibida si el amor a Dios agudiza el oído espiritual, si todos los deseos mundanos enmudecen y el anhelo del corazón sólo está puesto en la dádiva divina.

El derramamiento del Espíritu Santo depende del hombre mismo, de su voluntad, de su fe y de su amor. Donde la voluntad está dirigida a Dios, donde la fe en el obrar divino es fuerte y donde el amor a Dios y al prójimo establecen la comunicación con Dios, allí el Espíritu de Dios iluminará los hombres y los introducirá en toda la verdad.

Preconditions for the work of the divine spirit....

These are the preconditions for the working of the spirit in man, that he endeavours to live according to divine will, that he educates himself to humility and peaceableness, that he is prepared to serve God and the neighbour, and that he is active in love and thus forms himself to become an image of God. The spirit from God in the human being enters into an alliance with the divine spirit outside himself, which is an emanation of God; however, everything divine requires a receptacle which is worthy of receiving such precious contents, and therefore the first condition is that the human being is pure of heart, that he detests what is not good and noble.... that he strives for truth and hates lies.... that he does not harbour dishonest thoughts, keeps away from all unkindness, is just in thought and deed and serves in love.... Then his heart shapes itself in such a way that it is worthy and therefore also capable of receiving the divine spirit, for then the spirit in the human being is free and can connect with the spiritual beyond itself, which stands in perfection and therefore receives the emanation of strength from God and imparts it to the spirit in the human being. The sending out of the Holy Spirit is therefore the transmission of divine power through spiritual bearers of light and power, i.e. perfect beings who have found union with God and now constantly receive and pass on light and power.... Everyone who asks for the spirit from God from the bottom of his heart and in deepest humility will be allowed to receive the divine spirit, the holiest from God, as long as he endeavours to live in such a way that he is worthy of the most delicious gift of grace. He must recognize God as the highest and most perfect being, Who is powerful beyond all measure and wise, and thus believe.... He must ask for His love and grace, i.e. demand what God wants to hand out.... and he himself must be active in love so that God's love can communicate itself to him.... And God will overshadow a person who thus moulds himself with His grace.... He will give him unmeasured what is a divine share.... His spirit.... He will guide him into right thinking, enlighten his spirit and give him strength to recognize what is right. He will enrich his knowledge, and creation will be revealed to him brightly and clearly. He will know the meaning and purpose of it, he will penetrate into the spiritual kingdom and only then will he realize the significance of his life on earth. But man himself must do one thing.... he must willingly open his ear if the spirit from God wants to make itself known to him.... The heart, his spiritual ear, must declare itself ready to receive and thus prepare itself by closing itself off from all the world, by focussing only on God and pleadingly awaiting the divine gift.... And on gentle wings the spirit of God descends upon those people who are willing to hear the divine word.... For when they turn their hearts upwards they listen to the word that comes from above and which resounds in the heart so delicately and subtly that it can only be heard when love for God sharpens the spiritual ear, when all worldly desire falls silent and the longing of the heart is only for the divine gift. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is therefore dependent on man himself, on his will, his faith and his love.... Where the will is turned towards God, where faith in divine activity is strong and where love for God and neighbour establishes the connection with God, there the spirit from God will enlighten people and introduce them to all truth....
