Divine love.... selfish love....

The soul's spiritual results at the end of its earthly life were determined by the human being himself through his way of life, for he was allowed to live it freely and without constraint, and he only needed to submit himself to God's will that he would bring maturity to the soul.... And how he now used his will determines the soul's fate in the kingdom of the beyond. Again and again people are admonished to think of their life after death and to lead their way of life accordingly. But the belief in the soul's continued existence is too weak or non-existent, and therefore people are lukewarm in their soul's work, they only live for this earth and rarely reach a degree of maturity which earns them a small light when they depart from this life. And yet, they need only live a life of love, then their earthly life will already be in accordance with God's will and it will earn them maturity of soul. But the desire for matter usually stifles the spark of love in the human being's heart, for selfish love is still too great, and this only demands but does not give.... But only unselfish, giving and gratifying love is divine, thus corresponding to God's will, because it is also God's original being.... Demanding love, on the other hand, is ungodly and will never earn the soul a degree of maturity: The majority of people, however, are filled with demanding love and their desire is only for earthly-material goods, earthly happiness, fame and reputation.... It is a love which only ever revolves around matter, which is never for the benefit of the neighbour.... It is an ungodly love which only pulls the human being down but never allows him to ascend. Such love is not in divine order, it is the inheritance of the one who is devoid of all love, who, as God's adversary, also always tries to influence people to cultivate that selfish love in order to prevent the approach to God, which presupposes selfless, happiness-willing love.... But people don't think about the fact that their purpose of earthly life cannot only be the fulfilment of earthly wishes, and they also believe themselves entitled to extract from the world what it only offers them.... They do not believe in survival and are therefore irresponsible in their earthly life. But they cannot be forced to think and want differently, they must freely decide for themselves which path they want to take on earth.... And thus they also have to come to realization themselves, but again and again they are also warned and admonished and only need to take a mental stand on such admonitions once, which, however, they usually refrain from doing. Hence the human being himself determines the soul's degree of maturity, he determines the soul's spiritual wealth or poverty at the end of its earthly course, he determines the soul's fate in the kingdom of the beyond, which cannot be other than what the human being has striven for.... Only when the human being's eyes are spiritually directed, when the human being reflects on the meaning and purpose of earthly life, on a continuation of life after death, will the consciousness of responsibility awaken in him, and blessed is he who early comes to the realization that he himself should help his soul to reach maturity.... Blessed is he who fights his selfish love at an early age and transforms it into unselfish neighbourly love.... He will succeed in acquiring the soul's degree of maturity which will protect it from darkness when the human being's physical life is over.... For it will come to beatitude in the spiritual kingdom, it will not need to fear death because it will only enter into a life which lasts forever...._>Amen

하나님의 사랑. 자기 사랑.

혼이 이 땅의 자신의 삶의 마지막에 가서 어떠한 영적인 결과를 보여줄 수 있는 지는 사람 자신이 그의 이 땅의 삶을 통해 정한다. 왜냐면 그가 이 땅의 삶을 자유롭게 강요받지 않고 살 수 있기 때문이다. 그는 단지 혼에게 성장을 주는 하나님의 뜻에 순종하기만 하면 되기 때문이다.

그가 이제 자신의 뜻을 어떻게 사용하였는지가 저세상의 혼의 운명을 정한다. 사람들은 항상 또 다시 죽음 후의 그들의 삶을 생각하고 이로써 이에 합당하게 그들의 이 땅에 삶을 살게 경고받을 것이다. 그러나 죽은 후에 혼이 계속 산다는 믿음은 아주 연약하거나 전혀 없다. 그러므로 사람들은 그들의 혼을 가꾸는 일에 미지근하다.

그들은 단지 이 땅의 삶을 위해 살고 그들이 이 땅을 떠나면, 그들에게 작은 빛을 비추어 줄 수 있을 정도의 성장에 희귀하게 도달한다. 그러나 그들은 단지 사랑의 삶을 살기만 하면 된다. 그러면 그의 이 땅의 삶은 이미 하나님의 뜻에 합당한 것이고 이런 삶은 그의 혼이 성장하게 한다. 그러나 물질을 향한 갈망은 대부분 사람의 심장 안의 사랑의 불씨를 질식시킨다.

왜냐면 자기 사랑이 아주 강하고 자기 사랑은 단지 받기을 원하고 주려고 하지 않기 때문이다. 그러나 단지 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 주려고 하고 행복하게 해주려는 사랑이 신적인 것이다. 그러므로 하나님의 뜻에 합당한 것이다. 왜냐면 이 사랑은 하나님의 원래의 성품이기 때문이다.

반면에 요구하는 사랑은 신적인 것이 아니다. 이 사랑은 절대로 혼에게 성장을 줄 수 없을 것이다. 그러나 대부분의 사람들은 요구하는 사랑으로 충만에 있다. 그들이 요구하는 것은 단지 세상적이고 물질적인 재물과 세상적인 행복과 인기와 명성이다. 이 사랑은 항상 단지 물질에 대한 것이고 절대로 이웃들의 행복을 위한 것이 아니다.

이는 하나님과 반대되는 사랑이고 사람들을 밑으로 끌어내린다. 그러나 절대로 높은 곳으로 이끌지 않는다. 이런 사랑은 하나님의 질서 안에 있는 것이 아니다. 이런 사랑은 사람들이 하나님께 가까이 가는 것을 막기 위해 그들이 자기 사랑을 키우게 항상 영향을 미치려는 전혀 사랑이 없는 하나님의 대적자로부터 유전 된 것이다.

자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 행복하게 해주려는 사랑이 하나님께 가까이 갈 수 있기 위한 조건이다. 그러나 사람들은 그들의 이 땅의 삶의 목적이 단지 세상적인 소원을 성취시키는 것에만 있을 수 없음을 생각하지 않는다. 그들은 세상이 그들에게 단지 제공하는 것을 얻을 권리가 있다고 믿는다. 그들은 계속 산다는 것을 믿지 않는다.

그러므로 그들은 그들의 삶에 대한 책임감이 없이 산다. 그러나 그들은 다르게 생각하고 원하게 강요받을 수 없다. 그들은 자유롭게 스스로 이 땅에서 어떤 길을 가기를 원할지 결정해야만 한다. 그러므로 그들은 스스로 깨달음에 도달해야만 한다. 그러나 그들은 항상 또 다시 경고를 받고 권면을 받을 것이다.

그들은 단지 이런 권면에 한번 생각으로 자신의 입장을 정하기만 하면 된다. 그러나 그들 대부분은 이렇게 하지 않는다. 그러므로 사람이 스스로 혼의 성장성도를 정한다. 그가 혼의 이 땅의 과정의 마지막에 가서 혼이 영적으로 부유하게 될지 또는 혼이 가난하게 될지를 정한다.

그는 저세상에서 거할 혼의 운명을 정한다. 이 운명은 사람이 이 땅에서 추구하던 것과 다르게 될 수 없다. 사람의 관점이 영적인 방향으로 향하면, 사람이 삶의 의미와 목적에 대해 생각하고 죽음 후에 계속 산다는 것을 생각하면, 비로소 그 안에 책임감이 깨어날 것이다.

자신이 스스로 자신의 혼이 성장하게 돌봐야 한다는 깨달음에 일찍이 도달한 사람은 복을 받은 사람이다. 자기의 이기심에 일찍이 대항해 싸우고 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 이웃 사랑으로 변화시키는 사람은 복을 받은 사람이다. 그는 사람의 육신의 삶이 끝나면, 혼이 영의 나라의 축복에 도달하기 때문에 어두움으로부터 보호받을 정도의 혼의 성장에 도달하는 일에 성공할 것이다. 혼은 죽음을 더 이상 두려워할 필요가 없을 것이다. 왜냐면 혼은 단지 영원히 지속되는 삶으로 들어가기 때문이다.
