Truth comes from within.... desire for it....

Seek the truth within yourselves.... What is offered to you from outside need not always be truth, but you yourselves will not be able to judge it as long as you cannot be informed from within. Many things can be offered to you as truth, and even the greatest untruth is often disguised in such a way that it is accepted as truth. But first of all it requires the serious will to be offered truth.... Only then will you be able to examine what is offered to you and recognize it for what it is. The will to come closer to the truth is also at the same time the will to come closer to Me, because I Myself am the truth from eternity.... If I now recognize this desire in a person, then the possibility is already given to mentally guide him, thus to make knowledge accessible to him in the form of thoughts, to let him recognize correlations, thus to guide his thinking truthfully.... So then he stands.... still unconsciously.... with the one Who alone can provide him with information, and then he will oppose every misguided teaching with inner resistance but be open-minded towards the truth, for then he will have a certain ability to judge, he will be instructed from within.... My spirit has become effective in him, and he will now no longer be so easily deceived if he receives knowledge from outside which does not correspond to the truth because it did not originate from Me.... Every person is capable of testing who is only serious about not falling prey to error and lies.... who seriously desires truth. For the human being carries all wisdom within himself because he harbours the divine spiritual spark which knows everything and also wants to impart knowledge to the human being if he gives him the right to do so, i.e., desires to know. The human being is only isolated from Me as long as he behaves in this isolation himself.... He can give up his defensive position against Me at any time, and as soon as he thus desires to be connected to Me he also causes the spiritual spark within himself to secede.... And then the bond is already established, the isolation is lifted, for now the human being hears the voice of the one Who is the eternal truth and Who therefore also instructs him truthfully. But the desire for truth will always prove a certain degree of maturity, for love and truth cannot be thought of without each other, because they are My fundamental nature, because God - love and truth - are one and the same and because therefore only the person who acknowledges Me and lives in love can stand in truth. For the latter also seriously strives for truth, he seeks to penetrate knowledge which cannot be proven and which therefore can also never be fathomed purely intellectually.... (25.4.1957) And therefore truth cannot be transmitted to you humans in a scholastic way either.... For as soon as the preconditions are not fulfilled, as soon as the prerequisites for receiving the truth are not present, the human being will not recognize it either, even though it is offered to him. It has to resonate in him, as it were, for it is present in every human being, i.e. the spiritual spark in the human being, as a part of Myself, is also the truth, and what it emanates cannot be anything other than truthful knowledge. Only when you humans have grasped this will you also know the reason for the lie and error which is widespread in the world and which people accept far more willingly than the pure truth, and you will also understand why it is not possible to impart truthful knowledge to all people in a scholastic way. For the resistance towards it will remain as long as the human being closes himself off to the expressions of the spiritual spark dwelling in him or denies it any expression through an anti-divine attitude, through unbelief and unkindness. Everyone has the same right, the same claim to truth, but this must also be so desirable to him that he fulfils the conditions which are attached to the supply of truth. But anyone who thoughtlessly accepts all spiritual knowledge conveyed to him from outside, without desire for truth and therefore also serious examination, is closer to the one who is My adversary and thus an enemy of truth, who will always fight against Me by going against the truth.... He, too, will influence your thoughts but always meet with resistance where the bond with Me is established through loving activity and where the desire for the pure truth predominates. For My spirit will always be active there, the 'comforter', Whom I have promised to send to you and Who will "guide you into all truth"....

진리는 내면으로부터 온다. 진리를 향한 갈망.

너희 안에서 진리를 구하라. 외부로부터 너희에게 제공되는 것이 항상 진리인 것은 아니다. 그러나 너희에게 내면으로부터 이에 대한 설명이 주어질 수 없는 동안에는 너희 자신이 이를 판단할 수 없을 것이다. 많은 것들이 진리로 너희에게 제공될 수 있다. 심지어 가장 큰 오류도 자주 잘 가장하여 사람들에 의해 진리로 영접을 받을 것이다. 그러나 먼저 진리를 제공받으려는 진지한 의지가 필요하다. 그러면 너희는 비로소 너희에게 제공 된 것이 진리인지 시험해볼 수 있고 이것이 무엇인지 깨달을 수 있을 것이다. 진리의 가까이 다가가려는 의지가 동시에 나에게 가까이 다가오려는 의지이다. 왜냐면 나 자신이 영원으로부터 진리이기 때문이다.

내가 이제 사람 안에 이런 갈망을 깨달으면, 생각으로 그를 인도할 수 있는 가능성이 이미 주어진 것이다. 그러므로 그는 생각을 통해 지식을 얻을 수 있고 연관관계를 깨달을 수 있고 그러므로 그의 생각이 진리의 합당하게 인도받는다. 그러면 그는 아직 의식하지 못하는 가운데 유일하게 그에게 설명해줄 수 있는 분과 연결을 이룬 것이다. 그러면 그는 모든 잘못 된 가르침에 내적으로 저항한다. 그러나 그는 진리의 대해 열려 있을 것이다. 왜냐면 그는 확실한 판단할 수 있는 능력을 어느 정도 가졌기 때문이다. 그는 내면으로부터 가르침을 받을 것이다.

내 영이 그 안에서 역사하고 나로부터 나오지 않았기 때문에 진리에 합당하지 않은 지식이 외부에서 그에게 전해지면, 그를 이제 더 이상 쉽게 속일 수 없게 될 것이다. 단지 진지하게 오류나 거짓의 희생자가 되지 않으려고 하고 진지하게 진리를 갈망하는 모든 사람에게 시험할 수 있는 능력이 있다. 왜냐면 모든 사람이 자신 안에 신적인 영의 불씨를 가지고 있고 모든 사람이 자신 안에 모든 지혜를 가지고 있기 때문이다. 신적인 영의 불씨는 내 일 부분이기 때문에 모든 것을 안다. 신적인 영의 불씨는 사람이 자기에게 권한을 주면, 즉 알기를 갈망하면, 모든 것을 사람에게 알려주기 원한다.

사람은 단지 스스로 고립 된 가운데 거하는 동안에만 나로부터 고립되어 있다. 그는 언제든지 자신의 나에 대한 저항을 포기할 수 있다. 그가 나와 연결되기 갈망하면, 그는 자신 안의 영의 불씨가 표현하게 만든다. 그러면 연결이 이미 이뤄지고 격리는 사라진다. 왜냐면 사람이 영원한 진리의 음성을 듣기 때문이고 그에게 진리를 가르쳐주는 분의 음성을 듣기 때문이다. 그러나 진리를 향한 갈망은 항상 어떤 특정한 정도의 성장을 증명한다. 왜냐면 사랑과 지혜는 서로 떨어져 생각할 수 없기 때문이다. 사랑과 지혜는 내 근본적인 성품이고 하나님의 사랑과 지혜는 하나이다. 그러므로 단지 나를 인정하고 사랑의 삶을 사는 사람이 진리 안에서 설 수 있다.

그러면 이런 사람은 전적으로 진지하게 진리를 추구한다. 그는 증명할 수 없는 그러므로 절대로 순전히 이성적으로는 헤아려 볼 수 없는 지식에 들어가려고 시도한다. (1957년 4월 25일) 그러므로 진리가 너희 사람들에게 학교 교육하는 방식으로 전해질 수 없다. 왜냐면 선행조건을 갖추지 못하고 진리를 받기 위해 미리 갖춰야 할 조건이 이뤄지지 않았으면, 사람은 그에게 진리가 제공 된다 할지라도 진리를 깨닫지 못하기 때문이다. 진리는 그 안에서 공감을 받아야만 한다. 왜냐면 진리는 모든 사람 안에 존재하기 때문이다. 다시 말해 그 사람 안의 영의 불씨는 나 자신의 일부분으로써 진리이기 때문이다. 영의 불씨가 발산하는 것은 진리 합당한 지식 외에 다른 것이 될 수 없다.

너희 사람들이 이를 이해하면, 너희는 세상 가운데 거짓과 오류가 퍼지고 사람들이 순수한 진리보다 거짓과 오류를 더 잘 영접하는 거짓과 오류의 원인을 안다. 너희는 모든 사람에게 학교 교육하는 방식으로 진리에 합당한 지식을 전하는 일이 왜 불가능한지 이해할 것이다. 왜냐면 사람이 자신 안에 거하는 영의 불씨에 자신을 닫거나 또는 그가 모든 표현하는 것을 하나님을 대항하는 생각과 불신과 사랑 없음을 통해 막는 동안에는 진리에 대한 저항이 가운데 머물기 때문이다. 실제 모든 사람이 진리에 대한 같은 요구와 같은 권리를 가지고 있다. 그러나 진리가 그들에게 갈망할 만한 것이 돼야만 한다. 그러므로 그가 진리를 받기 위해 요구되는 선행조건을 성취시켜야 한다.

그러나 진리를 향한 갈망이 없어 진지한 시험을 해보지 않고 생각 없이 외부로부터 그에게 전해지는 모든 영적인 내용들을 영접하는 사람은 내 대적자이고 이로써 항상 진리에 대항하면서 나를 대적해 싸우는 진리의 원수에게 더 가까이 있다. 그는 너희 생각에 영향을 미친다. 그러나 그는 사랑의 역사를 통해 나와 연결을 이룬 순수한 진리를 향한 갈망이 지배하는 사람으로부터 항상 반격을 받을 것이다. 왜냐면 내 영이 이런 곳에서 항상 역사할 것이기 때문이다. 내 영은 내가 너희에게 약속한대로 너희를 모든 진리로 인도하는 위로자를 보낸다.
