Exceeding the power of the opponent....

God's adversary has succeeded in creating mental confusion amongst people, that truth has been suppressed everywhere and replaced with erroneous spiritual knowledge and that people no longer know where to look for and find the truth. For everyone believes to possess it, everyone considers his own thoughts to be right and good, and yet most people are far removed from the truth. But the battle rages between light and darkness, and in the last days the darkness is so dense that hardly a ray of light can penetrate it.... But the adversary's activity is so obvious that an end will soon be put to his work, as it is proclaimed in word and scripture.... At the end of an earth period his power is always great because people themselves grant it to him, but then he abuses his power by exceeding the limits of what is granted to him by God.... He certainly has the power to influence people's will, to tempt them and urge them to make the decision he desires.... But he goes further in his activity.... He strikes people with complete blindness and deprives them of the possibility of also recognizing another lord.... He undermines all knowledge about this lord by trying to present God in Jesus Christ to them as a phantom, so that a choice, a free decision for God is almost impossible. That is why the hour has come when his further activity will be stopped, when he himself will be put in chains and he will no longer be able to oppress people on this earth. But God also seeks to convey to misguided people in every way the knowledge which His adversary wants to withhold from them.... Again and again the pure truth is offered to them but in the prevailing darkness it is only recognized with difficulty. But in order to make it possible for Him to recognize it God also works extraordinarily in the last days.... He allows things to happen which go beyond human abilities and draws attention to Himself as the author of these events.... He sends preachers amongst people who proclaim Himself and His power and glory on His behalf and do unusual things as a sign.... He evidently shows people the power of faith in His name, and people could also come to faith and pure truth as a result.... Yet even over such unusual expressions of the divine spirit veils of obscurity are let down on the part of those who should give people light but place themselves at the disposal of God's adversary and extinguish the light which shines again and again. It is difficult to recognize the truth in the last times, but it is possible if the desire for truth prevails. For God's flow of grace flows uninterruptedly, and even if His adversary tries everything to stop it.... the power of God is greater, and the light of truth exposes His adversary. But the battle between light and darkness rages until the end of this earth. And those who hand themselves over to God's adversary will sink into darkness.... but those who desire light God reveals Himself to, and they will never fall prey to the adversary because the eternal light Himself illuminates them and gives them strength to withstand until the end....

대적자의 권세가 한계를 넘어서 서는 일.

하나님의 대적자가 사람들 사이에 영적 혼란을 일으키는 일에 성공한다. 이로써 진리가 모든 곳에서 물리침을 받고 잘못 된 영적인 내용으로 대체되었고 사람들이 더 이상 진리를 어디에서 구하고 찾을 수 있는 지를 알지 못하게 되었다. 모든 사람은 진리를 가지고 있다고 믿고 모두가 자신의 생각을 옳고 선하게 여기지만 그러나 대부분의 사람들이 진리로부터 멀리 떨어져 있다. 빛과 어두움 사이의 싸움은 격렬해질 것이고 종말의 때에는 어두움이 너무 깊어 빛의 광선이 거의 통과할 수 없게 된다.

그러나 대적자의 역사가 아주 분명해서 성경 말씀에 선포 된대로 그의 역사는 곧 중단되게 된다. 이 땅의 시대의 마지막에 가서는 대적자의 권세가 항상 크게 된다. 왜냐면 사람들이 스스로 그에게 권세를 부여하기 때문이다. 그러면 그는 하나님이 그에게 허용 된 한계를 넘어서 그의 권세를 잘못 사용한다. 그는 실제 사람들의 의지에 영향을 미칠 권세가 있고 사람들을 시험하고 사람들이 자신이 원하는 결정을 내리도록 촉구할 권세를 가지고 있다. 그러나 그는 그의 역사가 이를 넘어서게 된다.

그는 사람들의 눈을 완전히 멀게 하고 다른 주님을 깨달을 기회를 빼앗는다. 그는 예수 그리스도 안의 하나님을 그들에게 유령으로 보여주려고 시도하면서 다른 주님을 깨달을 모든 가능성을 빼앗고 이로써 자유롭게 하나님을 위해 선택하는 결정을 거의 불가능하게 한다. 그러므로 그의 역사를 중단시켜야 할 때가 되었고 그 자신이 사슬에 묶여 이 땅의 사람들을 더 이상 공격할 수 없게 만들어야 하는 때가 되었다.

그러나 하나님은 또한 잘못 인도받은 사람들에게 모든 방법으로 모든 지식을 제공하려고 시도한다. 하나님의 대적자는 이런 지식을 사람들에게 숨기기를 원한다. 사람들에게 항상 또 다시 순수한 진리가 제공되지만 만연한 어두움 속에서 순수한 진리를 깨닫기가 어렵고 사람들이 순수한 진리를 깨달을 수 있도록 하나님은 종말의 때에 특별한 역사를 행한다. 그는 인간의 능력을 넘어서는 일이 일어나게 하고 이런 일들을 일으킨 존재로서 자신에게 주의를 기울이게 한다.

그는 설교자를 사람들에게 보내고 자신의 이름을 믿는 믿음의 힘을 분명하게 보여주고 이를 통해 사람들이 또한 믿음에 도달할 수 있게 하고 순수한 진리에 도달할 수 있게 한다. 이런 사명자들은 하나님의 사명을 받아 하나님의 권세와 영광을 선포하고 이에 대한 증거로 특별한 일을 일으키는 사람들이다. 그러나 사람들에게 빛을 비춰야 하지만 자신을 하나님의 대적자에게 제공하고 항상 또 다시 비추는 빛을 사라지게 하는 사람들이 하나님의 영의 이런 특별한 나타냄 위에 이런 나타냄을 어둡게 하는 천을 덮는다.

종말의 때에 진리를 깨닫는 일이 어렵다. 그러나 진리를 향한 갈망이 지배하면, 진리를 깨닫는 일이 가능하다. 왜냐면 하나님의 은혜의 흐름이 끊임없이 흐르기 때문이다. 비록 하나님의 대적자가 하나님의 은혜의 흐름을 멈추게 하기 위해 모든 일을 시도할지라도 하나님의 권세가 더 크고 진리의 빛이 하나님의 대적자를 드러낸다. 그러나 빛과 어두움의 싸움은 이 땅의 종말의 때까지 치열하게 일어나고 자신을 하나님의 대적자에게 드리는 사람들은 어두움 속으로 빠지게 될 것이다. 그러나 하나님 자신이 빛을 갈망하는 사람들에게 자신을 계시하고 그들은 절대로 대적자에 의해 희생되지 않을 것이다. 왜냐면 영원한 빛 자체가 그들에게 빛을 비추고 종말의 때까지 견딜 수 있는 힘을 주기 때문이다.
