Way to the cross over Golgotha....

The way to the cross must be walked irrevocably, for it alone leads you to the gate of everlasting life.... The way to the cross is the way of love and suffering.... it is the way to Jesus Christ, it is the way to Golgotha.... Jesus Christ Himself walked it for you, yet you must follow Him and take upon yourselves everything that is given to you.... But if you seriously want to take the path to the cross, to Him, the divine Redeemer, then He will surely walk by your side, for He takes everyone who wants to come to Him by the hand and helps him if he weakens. You must take the path via Golgotha if you want to reach the gate of everlasting life. You must visualise all the sufferings and pains of the divine Redeemer Jesus Christ and tell yourselves that He bore them for you.... You must, as it were, accompany Him in thought on this path and stay with Him until the hour of His death.... His suffering must be your suffering, so that it strikes your heart and causes the love in you to flare up into bright embers.... You must want to suffer with Him in the knowledge that it is your sins for which He suffered and died on the cross.... And thus you will also participate in His act of Salvation and become living confessors of His name. No one can attain everlasting life who does not tackle with this greatest spiritual experience, with a deed that is unparalleled.... No-one can be redeemed who has not yet mentally experienced the act of Salvation himself, who has not once taken the path to the cross in order to now quietly join Jesus on the way to the cross and stay with Him until His death.... Time and again you humans must call to mind this process, and your love for Him, Who suffered and died for you on the cross, will become ever deeper.... Walking this way to the cross to Him and with Him is indispensable, for only then will you enter into the great mystery of God's incarnation and His act of Salvation; only then will you realise what the man Jesus has done for you, and only then will you become true followers of Jesus, because you are urged by love for Him, because you no longer want to leave His side, because then you will also be willing to bear the greatest suffering in order to participate in His act of Salvation.... The events of Jesus' crucifixion must not just remain words for you, you must make them come alive in you, you must immerse in the immense suffering He bore and therefore often take the path to the cross in your thoughts.... And the cross will become a shining one for you which points to the gate of everlasting life. Only then will you be able to represent His name vividly, only then will you be able to speak of 'redemption' yourselves, only then will your soul be touched by the divine Redeemer's greater than great love, but then it will never ever let go of Him, (29.3.1956) and then it will be able to enter the kingdom of light at His side after its earthly demise, because its path led via Golgotha. And it will be granted indescribable bliss, for it has now awakened to true life, it has conquered death thanks to Him Who died for it.... Jesus Christ's act of Salvation is of such a great significance that His death on the cross must be remembered time and again and with all fervour, that the human being should time and again visualise His life and death in order to penetrate into the mystery of His act of love, for the more he becomes aware of Jesus' act of love..., the more his love for Him flares up, and love now pushes him to the cross of its own accord, love also takes upon itself the suffering of a walk to the cross, love is prepared for anything in order to utilise Jesus Christ's sacrifice and, as it were, to take part in it itself, for love sacrifices itself....

골고다를 향한 십자가의 길.

십자가를 향하는 길은 피하지 말고 가야만 한다. 왜냐면 이 길이 유일하게 너희를 축복의 문으로 인도하기 때문이다. 십자가의 길은 사랑의 길이며 고난의 길이고 이 길은 예수 그리스도에게 가는 길이다. 이 길은 골고다를 향한 길이고 예수 그리스도 자신이 너희를 위해 가신 길이다. 그럴지라도 너희가 이 길을 따라가야만 한다. 그리고 너희에게 주어지는 모든 것을 받아들여 만한다. 그러나 너희가 진지하게 십자가의 길로 그를 향한 길로 하나님의 구세주의 길로 가려 하면, 그는 분명히 너희와 함께 할 것이다. 왜냐면 그는 자기에게 오는 모든 사람이 연약해질 때 그의 손을 잡고 돕기 때문이다.

만약에 너희가 축복의 문을 통과하려면, 너희는 골고다의 길을 가야만 한다. 너희는 하나님의 구세주인 예수 그리스도의 모든 고난과 고통을 너희 자신이 그려볼 수 있게 해야만 하고 예수 그리스도가 너희를 위해 십자가를 짊어졌다는 고백을 해야만 한다. 너희는 동시에 생각으로 예수의 십자가의 길을 동행해야만 하고 그의 죽음의 순간까지 머물러야만 한다. 그의 고난이 너희 심장에 전달돼야만 하고 그의 고난이 너희 안에서 사랑이 밝은 화염으로 불타오르게 하는 너희의 고난이 돼야만 한다. 너희는 그가 고통을 당하고 십자가에 죽은 일이 너희의 죄 때문임을 깨닫고 그와 함께 고난을 받으려고 해야만 한다. 이로써 너희는 그의 구원사역에 동참하게 되고 너희가 생명력 있게 그의 이름을 고백하는 사람이 될 것이다.

어느 누구도 가장 큰 영적인 체험에 대해 같은 행함을 요구하는 이런 한가지의 행함에 대해 스스로 생각하고 분별해보지 않고 구원에 이를 수 없다. 자신 스스로 모든 고요함 가운데 예수의 십자가의 길에 참여해 그의 죽음까지 동참하며 구원의 역사를 생각으로 체험하지 못하고 십자가의 길을 가지 않는 사람은 어느 누구든지 구원에 이를 수 없다. 너희는 항상 또 다시 이 과정을 생각으로 떠 올려야만 한다. 그러면 너희를 위해 고난당하고 십자가에 죽은 분에 대한 너희의 사랑은 더욱 깊어 질 것이다.

그에게 향하고 그와 함께 하는 이런 십자가의 길은 절대적으로 필요하다. 왜냐면 그러면 비로소 너희는 하나님이 인간이 된 그의 구원사역의 큰 비밀을 이해할 수 있기 때문이다. 그러면 너희는 비로소 인간 예수가 너희를 위해 무엇을 하였는지 의식하게 될 것이고 그러면 너희는 비로소 진정한 예수를 따르는 사람이 될 것이다. 왜냐면 그를 향한 사랑이 너희를 인도하기 때문이고 너희가 더 이상 그로부터 멀어지려고 하지 않기 때문이고 너희가 그의 구원사역에 참여하기 위해 가장 큰 고난에 동참하려고 하기 때문이다.

너희에게 예수의 십자가의 과정은 단지 이에 대한 말로 머무르지 말고 너희는 너희 안에서 이 과정이 생명력이 있게 해야만 한다. 너희는 그가 견딘 극심한 고난 속으로 빠져 들어가야만 한다. 그러므로 자주 생각으로 십자가의 길을 가야 한다. 십자가는 너희에게 빛을 주고 복된 문을 알려줄 것이다. 그러면 너희는 비로소 생명력이 있게 그의 이름을 증거할 수 있게 될 것이고 너희 자신이 비로소 구원에 대해 말할 수 있게 될 것이다. 그러면 하나님의 구원자의 크나 큰 사랑에 너희의 혼이 감동을 받게 될 것이다. 그러면 혼은 더 이상 그를 놓치려고 하지 않게 된다. (1956년 3월 29일) 그러면 너희가 골고다의 길을 갔기 때문에 이 땅의 삶을 마치면, 그와 함께 빛의 나라에 들어갈 수 있을 것이다. 말할 수 없는 축복이 혼에게 주어질 것이다. 왜냐면 혼이 진정한 생명으로 깨어났기 때문이고 혼을 위해 죽은 분 때문에 혼이 죽음을 극복했기 때문이다.

예수 그리스도의 구원 역사는 아주 큰 의미를 가지고 있어 그의 십자가의 죽음을 항상 또 다시 아주 깊은 내면으로 묵상해야만 하고 사람이 항상 또 다시 그의 사랑의 사역의 비밀을 알기 위해 그의 삶과 죽음을 묵상해야 한다. 왜냐면 그가 예수의 사랑의 사역을 의식하면 할수록 더욱 그의 대한 사랑이 불타오르기 때문이다. 사랑이 이제 그로 하여금 스스로 십자가를 지게 재촉한다. 사랑은 십자가의 과정의 고난을 자신이 짊어 진다. 예수 그리스도의 희생을 활용하고 동시에 자신이 이에 동참하기 위해 사랑은 모든 것을 행할 자세를 갖게 된다. 왜냐면 사랑은 자신을 희생 제물로 드리기 때문이다.
