Only love is valued....

It is love alone which I value, because everything that has love as its principle has to be good before My eyes. And I will also bless everything which, driven by love, is undertaken.... and it will not harm people but only benefit the soul, although no earthly advantage will emerge. Whatever is undertaken with love must also always correspond to My will, for it will not be done without Me, Who is love Myself.... Yet it is only ever to be understood as giving, wanting to please, sacrificing love, not the love which wants to possess, which as self-love can also be the cause for actions and undertakings of all kinds.... You must make this distinction and seriously examine yourselves as to what kind of love moves you, if you intervene in a helping way, as it were, if you feel prompted to act and ask yourselves whether it is right before Me.... whether you may expect My blessing for your actions.... Only unselfish love is ever decisive, for selfish love belongs to the world, it is not My share and therefore cannot be blessed. I tell you this because much is done under the guise of love and because this, too, is an activity of My adversary who, as it were, appears under a mask in order to kindle and strengthen selfish love.... For this is the opposite of pure unselfish love which unites you with Me because it is divine. Anyone who seeks his own advantage is not yet Mine, even if it appears as if the person sacrifices himself.... I see the heart, I recognize every impulse in it; therefore the human being must examine himself whether he wants to give or whether he wants to achieve something. In the first case he can undertake everything without worry, My blessing will always rest on him and I will not leave him.... He will be strengthened and My help will visibly be granted to him, because then I Myself will be in him and then I will truly also guide him correctly, order his thoughts and give him the strength to master his task.... If he is only driven by unselfish neighbourly love he can undertake everything and My blessing will be assured to him. However, every selfish thought is known to Me and I want to warn people against it, because they cannot deceive Me....

단지 사랑이 소중하다.

내가 인정하는 것은 단지 사랑이다. 왜냐면 사랑을 원칙으로 하는 모든 것이 내 눈 앞에 선해야만 하기 때문이다. 나는 또한 사랑으로 추구하는 모든 일을 축복할 것이고 그런 일은 사람들에게 해를 끼치지 않을 것이고 비록 세상적인 유익을 얻을 수 없을지라도 단지 혼에게 유익을 줄 것이다. 사랑으로 행하는 일은 항상 내 의지와 일치해야만 한다. 왜냐면 자체가 사랑인 내가 없이는 사랑을 행하는 일이 행해지지 않기 때문이다.

그러나 이런 사랑을 자기 사랑이 모든 종류의 행동과 역사를 일으킬 수 있는 소유하려는 사랑이 아니라 항상 단지 주려고 하고 행복하게 해주기를 원하고 희생하는 사랑으로 이해해야만 한다. 너희는 이를 구별해야만 하고 또한 너희가 행하려는 자극을 느끼고 도움을 주기 위해 개입할 때 이 일이 내 앞에 옳은 것인지 너희의 행동에 대한 내 축복을 기대할 수 있는지 스스로에게 질문하게 될 때 어떤 사랑이 너희를 움직이게 하는지 진지하게 점검해야만 한다.

항상 단지 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 사랑이 결정적이다. 왜냐면 자신의 유익을 구하는 사랑은 세상에 속한 것이고 나에게 속한 사랑이 아니고 그러므로 축복을 받을 수 없기 때문이다. 사랑이라는 가면 아래 많은 일들이 행해지고 있고 이런 일은 내 대적자의 역사이고 내 대적자가 자기 사랑을 자극하고 강하게 하기 위해 가면을 쓰고 나타나기 때문에 내가 이 말을 한다. 왜냐면 이런 사랑은 너희와 나를 연결시키는 순수한 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 사랑과 반대가 되기 때문이다. 왜냐면 순수한 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 사랑은 신적인 사랑이기 때문이다.

자신의 이익을 구하는 사람은 비록 그가 사람들에게 자신을 희생하는 것처럼 보일지라도 아직 나에게 속한 사람이 아니다. 나는 심장을 보고 그 안의 모든 동요를 깨닫는다. 그러므로 사람은 자신이 주기를 원하는지 무언 가에 도달하기를 원하는지 스스로 점검해야 한다. 자신이 주기를 원하는 경우에는 그는 염려 없이 모든 일을 할 수 있고 그에게 내 축복이 항상 함께 할 것이고 나는 그를 떠나지 않을 것이다. 그는 강하게 되는 일을 체험하게 될 것이고 내 도움이 그에게 눈에 띄게 주어질 것이다. 왜냐면 나 자신이 그 안에 거하고 내가 진실로 그를 인도할 것이고 그의 생각을 정리해주고 그가 그의 과제를 수행할 힘을 그에게 줄 것이기 때문이다. 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 이웃사랑이 단지 그를 움직이게 하면, 그는 모든 일을 행할 수 있고 내 축복이 그에게 보장될 것이다. 그러나 나는 모든 이기적인 생각을 알고 사람들에게 이기적인 생각에 대해 경고해주기를 원한다. 왜냐면 그들이 나를 속일 수 없기 때문이다.
