Gift of the spirit.... gift of wisdom....

The gift of wisdom must also be acquired insofar as an activity in love is a prerequisite, thus the human being does not receive this gift arbitrarily but must have been preceded by a life of love which first earns him the gift of wisdom. For wisdom is not knowledge alone.... Wisdom is full understanding of the deepest knowledge, and this understanding requires love.... Knowledge and wisdom are therefore to be valued differently, knowledge can be acquired by every person, and even into the deepest spiritual knowledge he can place himself intellectually, he can have it conveyed to him or penetrate such knowledge through study.... And yet, it need not yet signify the possession of wisdom for him, because this means the awakening of the spirit, because it is therefore, as it were, a gift of the spirit when knowledge has become wisdom for the human being, when he is able to understand everything to the core and can also convey his knowledge so that it will also be understood by other people if he has likewise found enlightenment of his spirit through activity in love. Only then is knowledge life-awakening, only then is it divine truth, a divine gift which cannot be replaced or compared earthly. Hence truth can be offered to you humans, you can recognize it as profound knowledge but nevertheless need not have penetrated its profound meaning, or else.... Only a life of love lets you recognize the meaning of knowledge, only a life of love makes you wise and enlightens your spirit.... But you humans should also strive for the gift of wisdom.... You should not be content with receiving truthful knowledge. You should now also seek to penetrate and correctly evaluate the knowledge, you should protect it from distortion. And all this requires a life of love, and only then will the knowledge also have an effect as wisdom.... For you humans it is the light which illuminates your earthly path, and then you consciously stride towards your aim.... you recognize the eternal truth and strive towards it, you use the gift of wisdom and make yourselves and your fellow human beings happy, who can now also reach the light through you....

영적인 선물. 지혜의 선물.

사랑을 행하는 일이 전제 조건이기 때문에 어떤 면에서 지혜의 은사도 벌어드려야 한다. 그러므로 사람이 지혜의 은사를 맘대로 받는 것이 아니라 사랑의 삶이 선행돼야만 하고, 사랑의 삶이 비로소 사람이 지혜의 선물을 얻게 한다. 왜냐면 지혜는 단순한 지식이 아니고, 지혜는 가장 깊은 지식을 전적으로 이해하는 일이고, 이해하기 위해 사랑이 필요하기 때문이다.

그러므로 지식과 지혜는 다르게 평가되야 하고, 지식은 모든 사람이 얻을 수 있고, 심지어 사람이 가장 깊은 영적인 지식도 이성을 통해 얻을 수 있고, 자신에게 전달되게 할 수 있거나 또는 학습을 통해 그런 지식에 도달할 수 있다. 그럴지라도 그가 지혜를 소유한 것을 의미하지는 않는다. 왜냐면 지혜를 소유하는 일은 영이 깨어나는 일로 이해할 수 있기 때문이다. 왜냐면 사람의 지식이 지혜가 되고, 그가 모든 것을 근본적으로 이해할 수 있게 되고 또한 자신의 지식을 전할 수 있게 되어, 이웃이 마찬가지로 사랑을 행하는 일을 통해 자신의 영을 밝게 하면, 이해할 수 있게 되면, 이런 일을 마찬가지로 영의 선물이기 때문이다. 그러면 지식이 비로소 생명이 깨어나게 하고, 지식이 비로소 신적인 진리가 되고, 세상적인 것으로 대체할 수 없고 소멸되지 않는 하나님의 선물이 된다.

진리가 너희 사람들에게 제공될 수 있고, 너희가 진리를 깊은 지식으로 깨달을 수 있다. 그러나 그럴지라도 너희가 지식의 아주 깊은 의미를 찾은 것은 아니고, 사랑의 삶이 단지 지식의 의미를 깨달을 수 있게 하고, 사랑의 삶이 비로소 너희를 지혜롭게 만들고, 너희의 영을 밝게 한다. 그러나 너희 사람들은 지혜의 선물을 받기 위해 추구해야 하고, 진리에 합당한 지식을 받는 일로 만족해서는 안 된다. 너희는 이제 지식을 얻으려고 시도해야 하고, 지식을 올바르게 사용해야 하고, 지식을 변개시키는 일로부터 보호해야 한다. 이런 모든 일을 하기 위해 사랑의 삶이 필요하다. 그러면 지식이 비로소 지혜로 역사하고, 이 지식이 너희 사람들에게 이 땅의 길을 비추는 빛이 되고, 너희는 의식적으로 목표를 향해 걸어 가고, 영원한 진리를 깨닫고 영원한 진리를 추구하게 된다. 너희는 지혜의 선물을 깨닫고, 너희 자신을 행복하게 하고, 이제 너희를 통해 빛에 도달할 수 있는 너희의 이웃을 행복하게 한다.
