"Many are called, but few are chosen...."

Many are called, but few are chosen. You have all been given the task of forming yourselves into a vessel of My spirit, and you would all be able to do so if your will strove for it. But the fact that you do not all reach the aim is due to yourselves, precisely due to your will, which is free and not directed or determined by Me to do what is right. Only a few take their earthly task seriously, they shape their heart according to My will and therefore can also let My spirit become effective in them. And thus these are the ones who are chosen among the many called ones.... But to have been chosen by Me means to have to fulfil a task which can only be carried out by a person who allows My working of the spirit. He shall represent Me and My name before the world, he shall proclaim My word, the divine teaching of love, which reveals My will to people. No person can administer such an office on earth who does not belong to My chosen ones, for the proclamation of the gospel requires knowledge which corresponds to the truth. Such knowledge cannot be gained through study, for mental knowledge is not sufficient for the spreading of My gospel, instead, the spirit from Me must first bring mental knowledge to life, otherwise it will only remain pure worldly knowledge, even though it has spiritual content. Therefore, every preacher of My word must also have been chosen by Me for his ministry, and he must prove this.... He must be able to demonstrate a gift of the spirit, the working of My spirit in him must be obvious. This means that he has abilities which he did not acquire but which were given to him by Me as evidence of My working of the spirit in him. One such ability is also the interpretation of the word which testifies of Me.... the interpretation of the scriptures which are regarded as My word.... No matter how long a study makes the human being capable of grasping and explaining the spiritual meaning of My word. For intellectual knowledge cannot replace what My spirit announces to the human being. My spirit, however, cannot work where the prerequisites for it are not given. But where My spirit is active, intellectual knowledge is not necessary, there I Myself instruct the human being and place the spiritual truth into his heart in a highly comprehensible way so that he is full of knowledge and realization....

(17.2.1953) And therefore it is also a futile effort to want to draw wisdom from the scriptures as long as My spirit cannot work. And thus it can also be explained why the interpretation of My word is so often wrong, why only the literal meaning is interpreted but not the spiritual meaning, which I placed in all My words I spoke on earth. For the human being's intellect interprets the literal sense, the spiritual sense is interpreted by the spirit from Me, if it can work in the human being. And what intellectual work is required for this.... while the spirit from Me clearly and understandably explains My word without the intellect having to become active. And yet, the human being naturally reproduces this explanation as if it were his intellectual result, yet the profound wisdom of what he says, the interpretations which are understandable to all, testify to the working of the spirit, yet again only to those who are of good will and want to be taught correctly.... whereas an intellectual interpretation is not a satisfactory explanation to fellow human beings and cannot convince them. The spirit alone gives brightness, the spirit conveys truth, and the spirit alone appeals to the heart, whereas the intellect again only appeals to the intellect and finds no echo in the heart.

But My spirit will always be able to be effective where love is.... a love which is always willing to give, which wants to help and redeem, a love which knows no other desire than to alleviate hardship, be it spiritual or earthly. Where the giving, completely selfless love is evident, truth can also always be found there, because I am where love is, because every work of love attracts Me Myself and the person who lives in love is intimately united with Me.... And where I am My spirit is active, where I am is truth, where I am I express Myself through the spirit, and that also means light, knowledge.... it means possessing knowledge which corresponds to the truth....

„Molti sono chiamati, ma pochi gli eletti.... “

Molti sono chiamati, ma pochi gli eletti. A tutti voi è stato posto il compito a formarvi in un vaso del Mio Spirito, e lo potete anche fare quando a ciò tende la vostra volontà. Dipende però da voi stessi il fatto che non raggiungete tutti questa meta, appunto per via della vostra volontà che è libera e non viene orientata né determinata da Me a fare la cosa giusta. Soltanto pochi prendono sul serio il loro compito terreno, costoro formano il loro cuore secondo la Mia Volontà e perciò possono anche lasciare agire in sé il Mio Spirito. E sono coloro quindi che sono eletti fra i molti chiamati. Essere eletto da Me significa ora però a dover svolgere un compito, che può eseguire appunto soltanto un uomo, che permette l’Agire del Mio Spirito. Egli deve rappresentare Me ed il Mio Nome davanti al mondo, deve annunciare la Mia Parola, la divina Dottrina dell’Amore, che rivela la Mia Volontà agli uomini. Nessun uomo sulla Terra che non fa parte dei Miei eletti, può sostenere una tale funzione, perché l’annunciare del Vangelo premette un sapere che corrisponda alla Verità. Un tale sapere non può essere conquistato tramite lo studio, perché non è sufficiente il sapere di testa per la diffusione del Mio Vangelo, ma il Mio Spirito deve dapprima rendere vivo il sapere di testa, altrimenti rimane soltanto un puro sapere mondano, benché abbia un contenuto spirituale. Quindi ogni annunciatore della Mia Parola deve essere anche eletto da Me per la sua funzione, ed egli deve metterlo alla prova. Deve poter dimostrare un Dono dello Spirito, l’Agire del Mio Spirito in lui deve essere evidente. Questo significa che deve disporre di facoltà, che egli non si è procurato, ma che gli sono state date da Me come dimostrazione dell’Agire del Mio Spirito in lui. Una tale facoltà è anche l’interpretazione della Mia Parola che testimonia di Me, l’interpretazione della Scrittura, che è la Mia Parola. Uno studio per quanto lungo non rende l’uomo capace di accertare e di spiegare il senso spirituale della Mia Parola, perché il sapere d’intelletto non può sostituire ciò che annuncia il Mio Spirito agli uomini. Ma il Mio Spirito nuovamente non può agire là dove non sono date le premesse. Ma dove opera il Mio Spirito, non è necessario un sapere d’intelletto, là Io Stesso istruisco l’uomo e gli metto nel cuore la Verità spirituale in modo perfettamente comprensibile, affinché sia pieno del sapere e della conoscenza. (17.02.1953) E perciò è anche fatica sprecata voler attingere la Sapienza dalla Scrittura, finché il Mio Spirito non può agire. E così è anche spiegabile del perché l’interpretazione della Mia Parola è così sovente errata, del perché viene interpretato soltanto il senso della lettera, ma non il senso spirituale che Io ho posto in tutte le Mie Parole che ho detto sulla Terra. E’ l’intelletto dell’uomo che interpreta il senso della lettera, il senso spirituale però il Mio Spirito, se può agire nell’uomo. Il Mio Spirito spiega chiaro e comprensibile la Mia Parola, senza che l’intelletto debba entrare in azione. E ciononostante l’uomo fornisce in modo del tutto naturale questa spiegazione, così come se fosse il risultato del suo intelletto, ma la profonda Verità di ciò che esprime, tutte le interpretazioni comprensibili che testimoniano dell’Agire dello Spirito, vengono nuovamente date soltanto a coloro che sono di buona volontà e che vogliono essere istruiti nel modo giusto, mentre una interpretazione intellettuale non sono delle spiegazioni soddisfacenti per i prossimi e non possono convincere. Lo Spirito da Solo fornisce la Chiarezza, lo Spirito trasmette la Verità e lo Spirito parla al cuore, mentre l’intelletto parla nuovamente soltanto all’intelletto e non trova nessun eco nel cuore. Ma il Mio Spirito potrà essere sempre attivo là dove c’è l’amore, un amore, che è sempre pronto a dare, ad aiutare ed a salvare, un amore, che non conosce nessun altro desiderio che lenire la miseria, sia questa spirituale o terrena. Dove è visibile l’amore donante, totalmente altruistico, là si trova anche sempre la Verità, perché Io Sono là dov’è l’amore, perché ogni opera d’amore attira Me Stesso e l’uomo che vive nell’amore, è intimamente collegato con Me. E dove Sono Io, il Mio Spirito opera, dove Sono Io, vi è la Verità, dove Sono Io, Mi manifesto tramite lo Spirito e questo significa anche Luce, conoscenza, significa, possedere un sapere che corrisponde alla Verità.
