The narrow path....

I want to dwell within you, I want to reign in your hearts, yet with a love that is to fill you with bliss. I want to be within you. This My presence also makes you to My children, I thus have come to My own and they have received Me.... To you who are on this earth as My creatures belongs my whole love, it looks after you and leads you on paths that, admitted, are often stoney and need to be covered laboriously. I’m leading you and yet again, I’m standing at the destination, expecting you. So you thus have My everlasting help, and no one can say having never experienced My help. Though, if the one does not follow My loving urging and My love-call, that one will stay behind and the ones who follow Me will gain a lead by a wide margin.... and they will reach the destination.... I will personally press them on My Father’s heart and lead them into My house.... the child has found its way home to the father from whom it was away a long time by its own fault.... It now has finally returned back because it set foot unto the only path that leads to Me.... the path of love.... However, this path is not easily to walk, it offers no allurements, no feast for the eyes, it is not smooth and to be walked without any effort, but it needs to be conquered step by step, because it leads up steeply and because of the many obstacles that need to be removed before it becomes passable.... But it is passable because of a guide Who constantly walks along your side, supporting and protecting you, supplying you with strength when you’re about to fail. He comforts you full of love, He relieves you of the load you are to carry, He carefully leads you across dangerous cliffs, He is your constant companion. Thus you can reach the destination, provided you have the will for it. But now it is certainly possible for you to direct your look towards the broad path, and this broad path can easily appear desirable for you because it is bordered by joys and pleasures of all kind. The loveliest scenes tempt the wanderer to risk a jump from the narrow, hard passable path to the broad, tempting street where many bustle about in the worldly enjoyments.... The temptation is very big and a great many cannot resist it.... The one leaves the laborious path and will always be helped across to the broad path.... for everywhere there are figures who wave at the one and offer their hand to the one and are happy to be able to lure the wanderer away from the narrow path. The broad way, however, does not lead to the same destination.... it leads downward as certain as the narrow path leads up to the top.

This picture is making it clear to you that the last destination is only achievable by surmounting, that it costs a certain fight with one’s self and the obstacles that put themselves in one’s way. Hence, man can only get to the last destination if the one is serious about it, when the one disregards all the stumbling-blocks, when the one directs his eye nowhere else but to the top where I wave at the one, being the most glorious destination....

(4.6.1952) I then will personally carry the one’s feet away across obstacles, the one then won’t see them but his look will beamingly cling to Me Who stretches His hand towards him, the hand of which he can hold on to, that will lead the one to the end of the path.... How different though is the life of those who walk on different paths.... how many joys and worldly pleasures can the one have, how many wants, sufferings and hardships the other one.... The days present themselves eventful for the one while the other one just sees miseries with one’s self and with others, and the first one will, beside one’s own burden, even carry the burden of the fellow human being, because love drives the one to it. But once the reward will come and this will be just according to how man’s desire was and the way they had furnished evidence for it. Whoever did endeavor spiritually, whoever did not forget Me, in spite of all the hardship, but perseveringly approached Me, will receive spiritual goods. But those who walked the broad path will all of a sudden see that it will terminate in the depth.... The depth will receive them all, for they have been descending unswervingly, the path that certainly may have been started with good intensions but may soon have been abandoned because of the temptations that dispelled all the concerns, because of the taking over of sin where My opponent is able to have an effect upon the souls of the humans. And the broad path has been prepared by him with the aim to ruin the humans.

And thus two powers are attracting you people and you can decide yourselves, you can choose yourselves whom you want to strive for. You can become My children, but you can also remain his children.... This is the decision you people on earth have to make. This decision is an exceedingly responsible one for it is decisive about your whole eternity. That’s why each one of the two rulers sends out their messengers. None of those who walks the broad path will exist who did not meet warners and admonishers, for they stand alongside the path, they know the Lord Who alone can offer salvation and this also inspires them to pass on knowledge to their fellow humans as well and to allure them away from the extremely dangerous broad path.... Only rarely are they successful to influence the wanderer in such a way that they leave the broad path and join the pilgrims on the narrow path. But My love and mercy seizes these and and I make the ascent easy for them, since they did surmount themselves. And to the conquerers a glorious crown will be in store.... they will be the first ones because they possess My whole love of the Father which I also intended to give away to the others, yet had to experience rejection from them.... For whoever walks the broad path walks without Me.... because the love for the world choked every love for Me and the fellow humans and thus the gap cannot be bridged over without love.

Walk the way of the cross of love.... be loving and suffering and carry your earthly weight in humbleness and submission and be aware that you will considerably shorten the path to Me by that, that your soul will become continuously brighter and clearer the higher you mount....

Be aware that, some day in the spiritual kingdom, you will surpass those souls who did not act like you, you will be able to have an effect on those who remained behind in their spiritual development, that you then ought to, and can help them that they, too, get to the light. For I cannot arbitrarily transfer into the kingdom of light those who failed in the earthly life, who did not live according to my will, but let themselves be determined by the one who is My opponent.... Yet, they are not to be lost forever.... And this is your mission in some days to come, to snatch away the souls from the darkness, to help those attain bliss, even though they will never reach the degree of light that a proper path on earth will yield....

Der schmale Weg....

Ich will in euch wohnen, Ich will herrschen in eurem Herzen, doch mit einer Liebe, die euch beseligen soll. Ich will in euch sein.... Diese Meine Gegenwart macht euch auch zu Meinen Kindern, dann bin Ich zu den Meinen gekommen, und sie haben Mich aufgenommen.... Euch gehört Meine ganze Liebe, die ihr als Meine Geschöpfe auf dieser Erde weilet, sie betreut euch und führt euch Wege, die zwar oft steinig sind und mühsam zurückzulegen. Ich führe euch, und doch stehe Ich wieder am Ziel und erwarte euch. Ihr habt also Meine immerwährende Hilfe, und keiner kann sagen, niemals Meine Hilfe erfahren zu haben. Doch so er Meinem liebevollen Drängen und Meinem Lieberuf nicht folgt, bleibt er zurück, und die Mir folgen, gewinnen einen weiten Vorsprung.... und sie erreichen das Ziel.... Ich Selbst nehme sie an Mein Vaterherz und führe sie ein in Mein Haus.... das Kind hat heimgefunden zum Vater, von Dem es endlos lange Zeit entfernt war aus eigener Schuld.... Es hat nun endlich zurückgefunden, weil es den einzigen Weg betreten hat, der zu Mir führt.... den Weg der Liebe.... Doch dieser Weg ist nicht leicht zu gehen, er bietet keine Verlockungen, keine Augenweide, er ist nicht eben und mühelos zu gehen, sondern er muß Schritt für Schritt erklommen werden, weil er steil aufwärts führt und weil viele Hindernisse zuvor hinweggeräumt werden müssen, ehe er passierbar wird.... Aber er ist passierbar, weil ein Führer euch ständig zur Seite geht, euch stützend und schützend, euch Kraft zuführend, wenn ihr versagen wollet. Er spricht euch zu voller Liebe, Er nimmt euch die Last ab, die ihr tragen müsset, Er führt euch sorgsam über gefährliche Klippen hinweg, Er ist ständig euer Begleiter.... Also könnet ihr das Ziel erreichen, vorausgesetzt, daß ihr den Willen dazu habt.... Nun aber ist es euch wohl möglich, eure Blicke nach dem breiten Weg zu richten, und dieser breite Weg kann leicht euch begehrenswert erscheinen, denn er ist eingesäumt von Freuden und Genüssen jeglicher Art. Die lieblichsten Bilder locken den Wanderer, einen Sprung zu wagen von dem schmalen, schwer gangbaren Weg nach der breiten lockenden Straße, wo viele sich tummeln im Weltgenuß.... Die Versuchung ist sehr groß, und so mancher kann ihr nicht widerstehen.... Er verläßt den mühevollen Weg, und ihm wird immer geholfen herüber auf den breiten Weg.... Denn überall stehen Gestalten, die ihm winken und ihm die Hand bieten, die sich freuen, die Wanderer hinweglocken zu können von dem schmalen Weg. Der breite Weg führt aber nicht zum gleichen Ziel.... er führt abwärts, so sicher wie der schmale Weg zur Höhe führt.

Es macht euch dieses Bild klar, daß das letzte Ziel nur zu erreichen ist durch Überwindung, daß es einen gewissen Kampf kostet mit sich selbst und mit den Schwierigkeiten, die sich ihm in den Weg stellen. Zum letzten Ziel also kann der Mensch nur gelangen, wenn er es ernst nimmt, wenn er aller Schwierigkeiten nicht achtet, wenn er sein Auge nur zur Höhe richtet, wo Ich ihm winke als herrlichstes Ziel.... (4.6.1952) Dann trage Ich Selbst seine Füße hinweg über die Hindernisse, dann sieht er sie nicht, sondern leuchtend hängt sein Blick an Mir, Der Ich ihm Meine Hand entgegenstrecke, an der er sich halten kann, die ihn führet bis zum Ende des Weges.... Wie verschieden aber ist das Leben derer, die auf verschiedenen Wegen wandeln.... Wie viele Freuden und weltliche Genüsse kann der eine verzeichnen, wie viele Entbehrungen, Leiden und Mühsale der andere.... Abwechslungsreich gestalten sich die Tage für den einen, während der andere nur Not sieht bei sich und bei anderen und er außer der eigenen Last noch die Last des Mitmenschen trägt, weil ihn die Liebe dazu treibt. Doch einstmals kommt die Vergeltung, und diese wird sein, wie es der Mensch selbst verlangte und wie er sein Verlangen unter Beweis gestellt hat.... Geistige Güter wird empfangen, wer geistig gestrebt hat, wer Mich über aller Mühsal nicht vergessen hat, sondern unverdrossen Mir entgegenschritt. Die aber den breiten Weg wandelten, sehen plötzlich, daß er in der Tiefe endet.... Die Tiefe wird alle aufnehmen, denn sie sind unentwegt nach unten gegangen, den Weg, der wohl mit guten Vorsätzen begann, die bald aber aufgegeben wurden, weil die Verlockungen alle Bedenken zerstreuten, weil die Sünde überhandnimmt dort, wo Mein Gegner einwirken kann auf die Seelen der Menschen. Und der breite Weg ist von ihm angelegt worden, mit dem Ziel, die Menschen zu verderben.

Und also locken euch Menschen zwei Mächte, und ihr selbst könnet euch entscheiden, ihr könnet selbst wählen, wem ihr zustreben wollet. Ihr könnet Meine Kinder werden, ihr könnet aber auch seine Kinder bleiben.... Das ist die Entscheidung, die ihr Menschen auf Erden zu treffen habt. Es ist dies eine überaus verantwortungsvolle Entscheidung, denn sie bestimmt über eure ganze Ewigkeit. Darum sendet ein jeder der beiden Machthaber seine Boten aus. Keiner wird sein, der den breiten Weg wandelt, dem nicht Warner und Mahner begegnen, denn sie stehen am Wegrand, sie kennen den Herrn, Der allein das Heil bieten kann, und diese Erkenntnis regt sie an, auch ihren Mitmenschen Kunde zuzuleiten und sie hinwegzulocken von dem äußerst gefahrvollen breiten Weg.... Selten nur gelingt es, die Wanderer so zu beeinflussen, daß sie den breiten Weg verlassen und sich den Pilgern auf dem schmalen Weg anschließen. Diese aber erfasset Meine Liebe und Barmherzigkeit, und Ich mache ihnen den Aufstieg leicht, weil sie sich selbst überwanden. Und den Überwindern winkt eine herrliche Krone.... sie werden die Ersten sein, weil sie Meine ganze Vaterliebe besitzen, die Ich auch verschenken wollte den anderen, doch von diesen Zurückweisung erfahren mußte.... Denn wer den breiten Weg geht, der geht ohne Mich.... weil die Liebe zur Welt jegliche Liebe zu Mir und den Mitmenschen erstickte und ohne Liebe die Kluft nicht überbrückt werden kann....

Gehet den Kreuzweg der Liebe.... liebet und leidet und traget eure Erdenlast in Demut und Ergebung und wisset, daß ihr dadurch den Weg zu Mir erheblich abkürzet, daß eure Seele stets heller und klarer wird, je höher ihr steiget....

Wisset, daß ihr die Seelen überflügelt, die es nicht euch gleichtaten, und daß ihr dereinst im geistigen Reich an denen wirken könnet, die zurückblieben in ihrer geistigen Entwicklung, daß ihr ihnen dann helfen sollet und könnet, daß auch sie zum Licht gelangen. Denn Ich kann nicht willkürlich ins Lichtreich versetzen, die im Erdenleben versagten, die nicht lebten, wie es Mein Wille war, sondern sich bestimmen ließen von dem, der Mein Gegner ist.... Doch sollen sie nicht ewig verlorengehen.... Und dies ist dereinst eure Mission, der Finsternis die Seelen zu entreißen, denen zur Seligkeit zu verhelfen, wenngleich sie niemals den Lichtgrad erreichen werden, den ein rechter Weg auf Erden einträgt....
