Spiritual mentor....

Every soul has its spiritual mentor, its guide, who wants to help it to eternal life. He seeks to influence the human being's thoughts and turn them towards the spiritual kingdom, but he also shapes the human being's life fate such that it can lead to great success, yet with due regard for free will. This mentor knows what is beneficial for the soul's development and what could be disadvantageous for it, and therefore he will always endeavour to help the soul's progress, because he is united with it in love and the guidance over this soul has been given to him by God Himself. He promotes everything that serves it; what could be detrimental to it he tries to prevent, but always in wise knowledge and great love. As long as the human being remains on earth the spiritual spheres are closed to him intellectually; even if the soul can soar into the spiritual kingdom it still does so unconsciously to the body and is also unable to convey the impressions from these spheres to the intellectual being in such a way that he could form a picture which corresponds to the truth. The spiritual kingdom will also remain a mystery to the physical human being until the body has spiritualized itself to such an extent that the soul can communicate what it has seen and it remains in its consciousness. Then that degree of maturity is reached which makes a further life on earth unnecessary, which the spiritual leader would also like to reach as long as the soul still dwells in the body. But as soon as this degree of maturity has not yet been reached the mentor carefully guards the intellectual person against creating distorted images of the spiritual kingdom which could only confuse him but not further him, for the human being's intellect still has an influence on the soul as long as it has not already reached the degree of maturity that it is able to see spiritually. It can certainly dwell in spheres in dreams from which it draws much strength and knowledge but it will not take over the memory of it into earthly life as long as the body is not equally spiritualized. In a manner of speaking the spiritual mentor erects a wall and hides everything behind it which is still incomprehensible to the human being's intellect, whereas the soul can cross the wall unhindered and gain insight into the spiritual kingdom. And this boundary is carefully guarded by the spiritual side.... remains hidden from the human being's intellect what is unveiled to the soul.... until there is no longer any danger for the soul to fall into doubt when the intellect tries to shake it. A strong soul, which has become rich in knowledge, can now also convince the intellect and correctly refute every objection, yet it first has to have reached this maturity, then it can look unhesitatingly and consciously into the spiritual kingdom and also communicate itself to the intellect, which then likewise allows itself to be taught about it and does not oppose any doubts of faith. Anyone who seeks the truth will also find it, yet the human being should always leave himself to the spiritual guidance and not try to penetrate knowledge on his own authority, which can only harm him if he does not have the necessary degree of maturity to make proper use of the knowledge. His spiritual guide knows about the state of the soul and seeks to raise it as long as no resistance is offered to him. For he does not lack wisdom and love, and he considers his pupils in such a way that it is a blessing for them....

영적 멘토.

모든 혼은 혼을 영원한 생명을 얻도록 돕기 원하는 자신의 영적인 멘토인 인도자가 있다. 그는 인간의 생각에 영향을 미치고 그의 생각이 영의 나라로 향하게 하려고 시도한다. 그러나 그는 혼의 자유의지를 고려하는 가운데 이 땅의 운명을 인도하여 혼이 큰 성공을 할 수 있게 한다. 멘토는 혼의 성장에 무엇이 유익하고 무엇이 불리할 수 있는 지를 안다. 그러므로 그는 항상 혼이 성장하도록 도와주려고 노력한다. 왜냐면 그가 혼과 연결이 되어 있고, 하나님이 그에게 혼을 인도하는 과제를 부여했기 때문이다. 그는 혼을 섬기는 모든 일을 행하고, 혼에게 해를 끼칠 수 있는 일을 막으려고 시도한다. 그러나 항상 지혜로운 깨달음과 큰 사랑으로 시도한다.

사람이 이 땅에서 사는 동안에는 혼이 영의 나라로 올라갈 수 있을지라도, 혼이 육체가 의식하지 못하게 올라가고, 그에게 이성적으로 영적 영역이 닫혀 있다. 혼은 또한 영의 영역에 대한 인상을 이성이 진리에 합당하게 개념을 잡을 수 있게 전해줄 수 없다. 영의 나라는 또한 육체가 자신을 영화시켜 혼이 본 것을 육체에게 전할 수 있는 정도가 될 때까지 육체적인 사람에게는 비밀로 머물 것이다. 그런 정도에 도달하면 혼이 이 땅의 삶을 더 이상 필요하지 않게 만드는 성장 정도에 도달한 것이고, 영적인 인도자가 또한 혼이 아직 육체에 거하는 동안에 이런 성장 정도에 도달하게 해주기를 원한다.

그러나 사람이 아직 이런 성장정도에 도달하지 못했다면, 멘토는 이성적인 사람이 영의 나라에 대한 왜곡된 개념을 갖지 못하도록 돌보면서 보호한다. 왜냐면 이런 개념이 그를 단지 혼란스럽게 하고 그에게 도움을 주지 않기 때문이다. 왜냐면 혼이 영적으로 볼 수 있게 하는 성장의 정도에 도달하지 못한 동안에는 사람의 이성이 아직 혼에게 영향을 미치기 때문이다. 혼은 실제 꿈 속에서 혼 자신이 많은 힘과 지식을 얻는 영역에 거할 수 있다. 그러나 육체가 마찬가지로 영화되지 않은 동안에는 혼이 기억을 이 땅의 삶으로 가지고 오지 못한다.

영적 멘토가 어떤 벽을 세우고, 아직 인간의 이성이 이해할 수 없는 모든 것을 벽 뒤에 감춘다. 반면에 혼은 방해받지 않고 벽을 통과할 수 있고, 영의 나라를 개관해볼 수 있다. 이성이 혼을 흔들려고 할 때, 혼이 의심에 빠질 위험이 더 이상 없을 때까지 혼에게는 드러나게 보여주는 것이지만 그러나 인간의 이성에게는 숨겨져 있는 것을 인간의 이성이 넘으려고 시도하는 일을 막는 이런 장벽을 영적인 편에서 조심스럽게 지킨다. 깨달음이 풍부해진 강한 혼은 이제 이성이 흔들려고 할 때 이성을 설득하고 모든 이의에 대해 올바르게 반박할 수 있게 된다. 그러나 혼이 먼저 이런 성숙함에 도달해야만 하고, 도달하면 혼은 염려없이 의식적으로 영의 나라를 들여다보고 이성에게 전해줄 수 있고, 이성도 이제 마찬가지로 자신을 가르치도록 허용하고 이제 믿음에 의심으로 대항하지 않게 된다.

진리를 구하는 사람은 진리를 찾게 될 것이다. 그러나 사람이 항상 영적인 인도에 자신을 맡겨야 하고, 자신이 동인이 되어 자신에게 해를 끼칠 수 있는 지식을 얻으려고 하지 말아야 한다. 이런 지식은 그가 지식을 올바르게 사용하기 위해 그에게 필요한 성숙한 정도에 도달하지 못했을 때 해를 끼친다. 그의 영적 인도자는 혼의 상태를 알고, 그가 저항을 받지 않는 동안에는 혼의 상태를 높여주려고 시도한다. 왜냐면 그에게 지혜와 사랑이 부족하지 않고 자신의 학생에게 축복이 되도록 돌보기 때문이다.
