Wake up, you sleepers....

Wake up, you sleepers, and get to work, for the day is short that is still given to you until the end. Every idle and negligent work will be avenged, and only he who is diligent and carries out his work in all seriousness will receive the blessing that means eternal life, while everything that fails is doomed to death. Wake up, you sleepers, and look around you and you will notice the changes which already indicate the approaching end. You must not regard anything as coincidence but know that nothing comes over you without a reason and that you therefore have to pay attention to it. Don't give yourselves over to idleness because it will only bring you ruin instead of rescue from the adversity which cannot be denied, and only those who are constantly active can control it. But your activity should consist of enriching yourselves with knowledge and then passing it on to your fellow human beings, of presenting yourselves with the questions which only I can answer for you, and of asking Me to instruct you. And then I will mentally give you the right answer and spur you on to carry out what I advise you to do through the voice of the heart.... i.e., everyone of good will will gain knowledge of what he should and should not do in order to secure peace for the soul. He will be awake and stay awake and not fall into the tempter's hands in his sleep, for the tempter does not sleep and constantly sets out to catch souls in his nets, which the human being does not see and recognize, who walks along drowsy and will surely fall because he does not protect himself against it. There is a safe way, indeed narrow and thorny, where an ascent without danger is certain, but the still drowsy man does not find it, he goes towards an abyss and is in greatest danger if he does not first awaken and look around for a safe way. And the day is short, soon night will fall, and whoever has not yet found the safe way will be lost, he will fall into the abyss without salvation. Anyone who does not make use of the time until the end belongs to those sluggish sleepers who do not take their work seriously and will therefore be rejected in the end; who cannot reach the aim because they did not let themselves be admonished and warned by My servants, whom I send into everyone's path so that they will guide those who take the wrong path, so that they are never helplessly abandoned to ruin but can always save themselves to Me....

Wachet auf, ihr Schläfer....

Wachet auf, ihr Schläfer, und begebet euch an die Arbeit, denn kurz ist der Tag, der euch noch beschieden ist bis zum Ende. Jede träge und nachlässige Arbeit wird sich rächen, und nur, wer fleißig ist und seine Arbeit im rechten Ernst ausführt, dessen Seele wird den Segen empfangen, der ein ewiges Leben bedeutet, während alles dem Tode geweiht ist, was versagt. Wachet auf, ihr Schläfer, und blicket um euch, und ihr werdet die Veränderungen bemerken, die das nahende Ende schon anzeigen. Ihr dürfet nichts als Zufall ansehen, sondern ihr müsset wissen, daß nichts über euch kommt ohne Grund und daß ihr es darum beachten müsset. Gebet euch nicht dem Nichtstun hin, denn es trägt euch nur Verderben ein statt Rettung aus der Not, die nicht abzuleugnen ist, und nur, wer unentwegt tätig ist, kann ihr steuern. Eure Tätigkeit aber soll darin bestehen, daß ihr euch an Wissen bereichert und dieses dann den Mitmenschen weitergebt, daß ihr euch selbst die Fragen vorlegt, die nur Ich euch beantworten kann, und daß ihr Mich darum bittet, euch zu belehren. Und dann werde Ich euch gedanklich die rechte Antwort geben und euch anspornen zur Ausführung dessen, was Ich euch rate durch die Stimme des Herzens.... d.h., ein jeder, der guten Willens ist, wird darüber Kenntnis erlangen, was er tun und lassen soll, um der Seele den Frieden zu sichern. Er wird wach sein und bleiben und nicht im Schlaf dem Versucher in die Hände fallen, denn dieser schläft nicht, und er geht ständig darauf aus, Seelen zu fangen in seinen Netzen, die der Mensch nicht sieht und erkennt, der schlaftrunken dahingeht und sicher fallen wird, weil er sich nicht dagegen schützt. Es gibt einen sicheren Weg, zwar schmal und dornig, wo ein Aufstieg ohne Gefahr sicher ist, doch der noch schlaftrunkene Mensch findet ihn nicht, er geht einem Abgrund entgegen und ist in größter Gefahr, wenn er nicht zuvor noch erwacht und nach einem sicheren Weg Umschau hält. Und der Tag ist kurz, bald wird die Nacht hereinbrechen, und wer dann noch nicht den sicheren Weg gefunden hat, der wird verlorengehen, er wird rettungslos in den Abgrund stürzen. Wer die Zeit nicht ausnützet bis zum Ende, der gehört jenen trägen Schläfern an, die ihre Arbeit nicht ernst nehmen und darum am Ende verworfen werden; die nicht zum Ziel gelangen können, weil sie sich nicht mahnen und warnen ließen von Meinen Dienern, die Ich einem jeden in den Weg sende, auf daß sie führen, die einen falschen Weg gehen, auf daß sie niemals hilflos dem Verderben preisgegeben sind, sondern stets sich retten können zu Mir....
