Peace of the soul....

Give us the peace of the soul.... Let this be your constant prayer, for this peace contains everything in itself, faith, love, strength and light. Only the right faith can give you peace, and only in love can you find it, because both are not separately what they should be. But if you have peace within you, you are also in knowledge, that is, in light, and out of this certainty you are also full of strength. Those who lack inner peace are unconsciously not satisfied with what they possess, yet they feel the longing for a state of light which they still miss. Such a soul, when it is still weak in love, seeks compensation for the light it lacks and is easily blinded by deceptive light. It seeks peace and still obtains it unjustifiably because it has not yet fulfilled the basic condition.... the transformation of itself into love. It can certainly also find a peace in which it feels happy, yet it is more of an anaesthetic, produced by the human being's intellect, but not the divine peace which lets the soul feel itself as the father's child. The feeling of being secure in the father's arms triggers a peace which is the most beautiful thing that can be striven for on earth. As soon as a person's right relationship with God, with his creator and father of eternity, has been established, his life on earth will also be a peaceful one despite events which approach the person from outside in a threatening manner. For the right relationship also guarantees a right faith in the father's help, and this firm confidence is already a sign of peace which makes the soul happy. These people are aware of God's presence and therefore remain unaffected by everything that approaches them, even if it forces them to assert themselves earthly or to fight against their enemies. Man will not lose the peace of the soul. Divine forces are at his side to hold and support him if it seems earthly that he would have to succumb. The world can no longer take away the peace of the soul, for it is the result of the intimate union with God through prayer and activity of love, which has also brought him the recognition of truth, and therefore a person who is knowledgeable no longer fears danger because he recognizes it and can meet it with the right weapons. For he always knows that he is not fighting alone but with God, Who is constantly present to him....

혼의 평화.

우리의 혼에 평안을 주십시오. 이런 기도가 너희의 끊임없는 기도가 되야 한다. 이 평안 안에 모든 것이 즉 믿음과 사랑과 힘과 빛이 들어 있다. 올바른 믿음이 단지 너희에게 평화를 줄 수 있고, 너희는 단지 사랑 안에서 평안을 찾을 수 있다. 왜냐면 믿음과 사랑이 분리되면, 믿음과 사랑이 함께 할 때와 같지 않기 때문이다. 그러나 너희 안에 평안이 있다면, 너희는 깨달음 안에 있고, 이런 확신으로부터 너희는 또한 힘이 충만하게 된다. 내면의 평화가 부족한 사람의 혼은 무의식적으로 자신이 소유한 것에 대해 만족하지 못한다. 그러나 혼은 자신이 아직 도달하지 못한 빛의 상태를 향한 갈망을 느낀다.

그런 혼의 사랑이 아직 약할 때 혼은 빛의 부족에 대한 보상을 구하고, 쉽게 속이는 빛에 의해 보자 못하게 된다. 혼은 평안을 찾고, 혼이 아직 자신을 사랑으로 바꿔야 하는 기본 조건을 충족시키지 못했기 때문에 혼은 부당하게 평안을 얻는다. 혼은 실제 자신이 행복하다고 느끼는 평안을 찾을 수 있게 될 것이다. 그러나 그런 평안은 인간의 이성이 만든 마취에 가깝고, 혼이 아버지의 자녀로서 느끼는 하나님의 평안이 아니다.

아버지의 품에 안겨 있는 보호감이 평안을 준다. 이런 평안은 이 땅에서 추구할 수 있는 가장 아름다운 것이다. 사람과 영원한 창조주 하나님 아버지와의 올바른 관계가 이뤄지면, 그의 이 땅의 삶은 외적으로 일어나는 사람들을 위협하는 사건들에도 불구하고 평안이 충만한 삶이 된다. 왜냐면 올바른 관계가 또한 아버지의 도움을 올바르게 믿는 믿음을 보장하고, 이런 확고한 확신이 이미 혼을 행복하게 하는 평안의 증거이기 때문이다. 이런 사람들은 하나님의 임재를 의식한다. 그러므로 비록 그들이 그들 자신에게 다가오는 일들을 통해 세상적으로 대항하거나 그들의 원수에 대항하여 싸워야만 하도록 강요를 받게 될지라도, 그들은 자신에게 다가오는 일에 영향을 받지 않는다.

사람은 혼의 평안을 잃지 않을 것이다. 그가 세상적으로 굴복해야만 하게 보이면, 그를 붙잡고 지지하는 하나님의 힘이 그와 함께 한다. 세상은 더 이상 혼의 평화를 빼앗을 수 없다. 왜냐면 이런 평안은 기도와 사랑을 행하는 일을 통해 하나님과 긴밀하게 연합이 된 결과이기 때문이다. 이런 연합이 그에게 진리에 대한 깨달음을 주고, 그러므로 지식을 가진 사람은 더 이상 위험을 두려워하지 않는다. 왜냐면 그가 이 위험을 깨닫고 올바른 무기로 위험을 상대할 수 있기 때문이고, 자신이 항상 홀로 싸우는 것이 아니라 항상 그에게 임재하는 하나님과 함께 싸우는 것을 알기 때문이다.
