Power of love....

The power of love is overwhelming and yet it is too little recognised and used. It is like a torrent which seizes everything and takes it along with it, it is like a fire which nothing can withstand, which consumes everything that comes close to it. There is an unusual power in love, but it must be a pure love, otherwise it triggers instincts that pull down. A pure love can and must awaken requited love again, just as a force also triggers a counteracting force. And that is why it will also find a reciprocation, even if not directly as a consequence but only when love has had an effect on the fellow human being. It must, so to speak, first touch his heart before the reciprocal love awakens and thus radiates back. It is an original law that love works as a force and that as such it also has tremendous power. It is a fundamental law that it must double itself as soon as two beings feel attracted to each other, but that one behaves passively, the other actively and that therefore the love of the one must be stronger, otherwise it would not be constructive, thus noticeable as power. It is love emanating from God and therefore to be called divine as long as it only strives for spiritual good. However, a person's love can also be for his fellow human being, and even then it can still be divine if the principle of giving love prevails. Then it will also arouse requited love, but it must then be completely free from self-interest, and its aim must always be to give and bestow happiness. (24.10.1947) Anyone who carries love within himself which is willing to give and make happy is truly connected to Me and constantly draws strength from Me. For such love will always urge activity, it has to express its power, and this urge results in everlasting activity. But activity is life, and therefore the human being is only in a state of life when he is full of love. For only love activity ends the state of death which surrounds the soul before. Love work is an activity emanating from the spirit, which cannot be compared to earthly activity, even if it has an earthly effect. The influx of strength from the spiritual kingdom will always drive the human being to increased activity of love, and consequently the strength within himself will constantly increase. Although the human being is not particularly affected by it physically, his entire life of feeling experiences a deepening, he is extremely sensitive and therefore hears the voice of the spirit within himself, which only sounds softly and faintly and cannot be perceived by the physical senses. This voice of the spirit is therefore the effect of loving activity and loving activity again the effect of loving feelings in the heart, this again an emanation of Myself which I let flow to him who loves Me, i.e. who fulfils My commandments, who endeavours to do My will, who consciously strives towards Me, i.e. who acknowledges Me and believes in Me. Love is always power, whether it comes forth from Me and touches My living creations or returns to Me in the form of unselfish loving activity. And this power will continuously flow into the universe, for I Myself, as the eternal Love, want to give and make happy and raise My living creations into a state of bliss, I want them to live and receive and distribute the strength from Me through constant activity, because it drives them to want to give and make happy....

사랑의 힘.

사랑의 힘은 압도적이다. 그러나 이런 사랑의 힘을 너무 적게 깨닫고 있고, 활용하고 있다. 사랑의 힘은 모든 것을 붙잡아 끌어 당기는 급류와 같고, 가까이 다가오는 모든 것을 삼키고, 어떤 것도 견딜 수 없는 불과 같다. 사랑 안에 특별한 힘이 있다. 그러나 사랑은 순수한 사랑이어야만 한다. 그렇지 않으면 사랑은 끌어드려 해체하려는 충동을 일으킨다. 순수한 사랑은 응답하는 사랑을 다시 불러일으킬 수 있고, 불러일으켜야만 한다. 이는 힘이 대응하는 힘을 불러일으키는 것과 같다. 그러므로 사랑은 비록 즉각적인 결과가 나타나지는 않지만, 사랑이 이웃 사람에게 역사했을 때 비로소 반응을 일으킬지라도, 반응을 얻게 될 것이다. 사랑은 어떤 의미에서 응답하는 사랑이 깨어나기 전에, 즉 반사하기 전에, 먼저 그의 심장을 감동시켜야만 한다.

사랑은 힘으로 역사하고, 사랑이 사랑으로써 엄청난 권세를 갖는 일이 원래의 법칙이다. 두 존재가 서로에게 이끌림을 느끼면, 이 사랑이 두 배가 되야만 하는 일이 원래의 법칙이고, 한 사람은 수동적으로 처신하고 다른 한 사람은 적극적으로 처신하고, 그러므로 한 사람을 향한 사랑이 더 강해만 한다는 것이 원래의 법칙이다. 그렇지 않으면 사랑은 건설적이지 못하고, 힘으로 느낄 수 없게 된다. 사랑은 하나님으로부터 온다. 그러므로 사랑이 영적인 재물을 위해 추구하는 동안에는 신적인 사랑이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 한 사람의 사랑은 그의 이웃사람에게 향할 수 있고, 베푸는 사랑이 지배적이라면, 이런 사랑은 또한 아직 신적인 사랑이라고 할 수 있다. 그러면 이런 사랑은 응답하는 사랑을 일깨우게 될 것이고, 이기심에서 완전히 자유롭게 되야만 하고, 사랑의 목표는 항상 행복하게 해주고, 행복을 전파하는 일이 돼야만 한다.

(1947년 10월 24일) 자신 안에 베풀고, 행복하게 해주기 원하는 사랑을 가진 사람은 진실로 나와 연결되어 있고, 나로부터 끊임없이 힘을 얻는다. 왜냐면 그런 사랑은 항상 활동을 하도록 촉구할 것이기 때문이다. 사랑은 자신의 힘을 발산해야만 하고, 이런 충동은 항상 지속적으로 활동하게 하는 결과를 가져온다. 그러나 활동은 생명이다. 그러므로 사람이 사랑이 충만하면, 비로소 그는 생명의 상태에 있게 된다. 사랑의 역사가 이 전에 혼을 감싸고 있던 죽음의 상태를 끝내기 때문이다. 사랑의 역사는 영에서 나오는 활동이고, 비록 사랑이 세상적으로 역사할지라도, 세상의 활동과 비교할 수 없다.

영의 나라로부터의 힘의 공급은 항상 사람이 더 많은 사랑을 행하도록 이끌 것이다. 그러므로 사람 안의 힘을 계속하여 증가시킬 것이다. 사람이 이를 육체적으로는 특별하게 느끼지 못하지만, 그러나 그의 모든 느낌의 삶이 깊어지고, 아주 민감하게 되고, 그러므로 육체의 감각으로는 들을 수 없고, 자신 안에서 단지 부드럽고 섬세하게 들리는 영의 음성을 듣게 된다. 그러므로 이런 영의 음성을 듣는 일은 사랑을 행한 결과이고, 사랑을 행하는 일은 다시 심장 안에서 사랑을 느낀 결과이다. 이런 느낌은 다시 나를 사랑하는 사람에게, 즉 내 계명을 성취시키는, 나의 뜻을 성취시키기 위해 노력하고, 의식적으로 나를 추구하는 사람에게 즉 나를 깨닫고, 나를 믿는 사람에게 내가 흘려주는 나 자신의 발산이다.

사랑은 항상 힘이다. 이 힘이 나에게서 나와 내 피조물에게 도달하거나 또는 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 사랑의 형태로 나에게 다시 돌아온다. 이 힘은 중단없이 우주를 향해 흘러 갈 것이다. 왜냐면 영원한 사랑인 나 자신이 행복하게 해주기를 원하고, 내 피조물을 축복된 상태로 이끌어 주기를 원하기 때문이다. 나는 나의 피조물이 살고, 끊임없는 활동을 통해 나로부터 힘을 얻고, 나눠 주기를 원한다. 왜냐면 이 힘이 베풀기를 원하게 하고, 행복하게 해주기를 원하도록 이끌기 때문이다.
